Entrance
Examination Form for Admission in M. Ed. Programme (Under Open and Distance
Learning) for the Academic Session 2014-15
For General category students, 55% (54.9% marks
would not be considered as 55%) marks in B.Ed./Equivalent Degree are essential
for taking admission in M.Ed. Programme. The calculation of this percentage
marks would be based on the average of the marks obtained in the Theory and
Practical Papers in B.Ed./Equivalent Degree.
For taking admission in this course the students
belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes of
Uttarakhand, 50% (49.9% marks would not be considered as 50%) marks in
B.Ed./Equivalent Degree are essential. The
calculation of the percentage would be based on the average of the marks
obtained in the Theory and Practical Papers in B.Ed./Equivalent Degree.
You have to attach the self-attested copies of the
marks sheets with regard to the above mentioned examinations in the Application
Form.
Two years’ teaching / professional experience after
completion of B. Ed. / Equivalent programme from a
Government recognized school / NCTE recognized
teacher education institution / research institution in
education would be considered as experience.
Affiliation here refers to Affiliation from CBSE/ICSE/NCTE/State Board and
other equivalent organization.
Please enclose the Teaching/Research Experience
Certificate with the Application Form as per the given format. The Teaching
Experience Certificate Format could be downloaded from the University Website www.uou.ac.in. (Note:
Any Teaching Experience Certificate issued by the competent authority
acceptable to UOU may also be submitted.)
Please send your Application Form for Entrance
Examination only by Registered/Speed Post to the University head quarter at
Haldwani. (Address:- The Registrar, Uttarakhand Open University, Haldwani,
District- Nainital, Uttarakhand - 263139)
Applications received after the last date will not
be accepted. Incomplete applications will also not be accepted.
Last date of receiving the Application is 10th March 2014.
University administration would not be responsible for any postal delay. The
Applicants would be solely responsible for it. On the top of envelope ‘Application
for M.Ed. Entrance Examination-2014’ must be superscripted. The applicants must
write Postal Address neatly
The Entrance Examination will be held on 20th April
2014 at Dehradun and Haldwani. The Declaration of the name of Examination
Centres at Dehradun and Haldwani would be displayed one week before the
entrance examination through the university website (www.uou.ac.in).
A Bank Challan of State Bank of India or Bank of
Baroda of Rs.500/- (Five hundred Rupees) for General &
OBC / Rs. 300 (Three Hundred Rupees) for SC &
ST applicants has to be sent along with the Entrance Examination Form. Bank
Challan Format is available on the university website (www.uou.ac.in).
The list of eligible candidates for the Entrance
Examination would be published on the University Website fifteen days before
the entrance examination. Without possessing the Hall Ticket/Admit Card, the
candidates are not allowed to appear in the Entrance Examination. The Hall
Ticket/Admit Card can also be obtained from University Head Office till 2 days
before the Examination.
The Programme fee for M.Ed. (ODL) is Rs. 40,000
(Forty thousand rupees) to be paid in two instalments of Rs. 20,000 per
academic year. As a Term End Examination fees Rs. 150 per theory paper, Rs.
1000 for Dissertation Evaluation along with its Viva-voce and Rs. 500 for
Practical Examination and the Evaluation of sessional work would be separately
charged from the students.
The Entrance Examination would be of 150 marks. It
would be OMR based Multiple Choice 150 Objective Questions. The Examination
would be of three (03) hrs. Questions Paper for this Entrance Examination would
be based on the following papers of the B.Ed. course:-
a) Theory of Education- Philosophical and
Sociological Bases of Education.
b) History and Development of Indian Education
System.
c) Educational Psychology.
d) Educational Technology.
The Entrance examination result will be declared
before 30th May 2014.

Applicants who have submitted Bank Challan of
Rs.1500/- (or Rs.1000/- as the case may be) with reference to earlier
advertisement (Advt. No.:- UOU / M.Ed. – 02 / 2013-15 dated 20-7-2013) need not
to submit fresh challan rather they should submit the copy of the earlier
challan. However, they have to submit the fresh application Form. The excess
amount shall be adjusted in the Programme Fee.
