The National Law University, Delhi has invited applications for admission to BA, LL.B (Hons.), LL.M and PhD Programmes for the academic year 2015-16 commencing from August, 2015.

Eligibility, total seats & other details for these programmes are as under:

Five-Year BA, LL.B (Hons.)

Eligibility: Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 System) or Equivalent Examination with 50% of marks. The candidates appearing in the 12th standard examination in March / April, 2015 can also apply.

Age: Below 21 years as on 1 July, 2015 (23 years in case of SC/ST candidates).

Total Seats: 80 [70 seats on merit through All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) and 10 seats for direct admission to Foreign Nationals on merit]. Foreign Nationals to be eligible should have 65% marks in the qualifying examination.

Reservation: 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST and 3% for Persons with Disabilities.

Note: One additional seat for Kashmiri Migrants. The candidates have to appear in the AILET and fulfill the eligibility criteria as applicable.

LL.M

Eligibility: LL.B or an Equivalent Degree with 55% marks (50% in case of SC / ST / Persons with Disability). The candidates appearing in final LL.B examination in April / May, 2015 can also apply.

Total Seats: 20 + 5 seats for Foreign Nationals. Foreign Nationals are exempted from AILET.

Reservation: 15% for SC Candidates, 7.5% for ST Candidates, 3% for Persons with Disabilities.

PhD

Eligibility: LL.M Degree with 55% marks or its equivalent (50% in case of SC / ST / Persons with Disability).

Admission to BA, LL.B (Hons.), LL.M and PhD Programmes will be through AILET to be conducted at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Cuttack, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Patna, Raipur and Varanasi on May 03, 2015 (Sunday).

Interested candidates may apply along with a Demand Draft of Rs.3,000/- (Rupees Three Thousand Only) for General Candidates, Rs.1,000/- (Rupees One thousand only) in case of SC/ST and Persons with Disability (PD) drawn in favour of "Registrar, National Law University, Delhi", payable at Delhi along with copies of requisite Caste / PD Certificate. Below Poverty Line (BPL) applicants of SC/ST category are exempted from application fee.

Candidates possessing the citizenship of a foreign country have been invited for applying for admission to 5-Year B.A.,LL.B. (Hons.), LL.M Degree Programme at NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, Justice  City, Shameerpet, R.R. District, , Hyderabad - 500 078.

B.A, LL.B:

The eligibility requirement is that the candidate should have passed an examination recognised by the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi as equivalent to Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) under Indian System securing not less than 65% marks in the aggregate and should not be more than 25 years of age as on July 1, 2015. Candidates appearing / appeared in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply but they should submit their result of the qualifying examination on or before May 26, 2015.

LL.M:

The admission shall be made on the basis of

i) academic record of BL / LL.B. or equivalent Degree recognized by UGC / Association of Indian Universities with not less than 55% marks or equivalent grade.

ii) Assessment of necessary communication skills in written and spoken English and performance at the interview in terms of aptitude and capacity.

Candidates appearing / appeared in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply but they should produce the marks statement of the qualifying examination on or before May 26, 2015

(ii) obtained a degree in law and Masters Degree with MPhil in social sciences or humanities of any recognised university with not less than 55% marks or its equivalent, provided that candidates with qualifications in social sciences and humanities may be admitted to the programme if the research they wish to pursue interface with the discipline of law with a special focus on Public Policy or Law or
(iii) Degree in law and PhD in any discipline or
(iv) Judge of any State High Court in India with three years experience or Judge of Supreme Court of India.
