SCMS Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology Research and Development (SIBB-R&D) invites applications for admission to M.Sc. in Genetic Engineering, Genomics, Proteomics, Toxicology, Molecular Biology, Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering. These programmes are affiliated to M.G.University, Kottayam.
SCHOLARSHIP AND TRAINING: Those who pursue and complete M.Sc. at SCMS are eligible to apply for practical training and a monthly scholarship of Rs 8,000/- from the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. Govt. of India-sponsored practical training in large Biotech companies will enhance the employability of our students.
SCMS Institute has been recognised as a Research Centre by the Ministry of Science and Technology and by the Dept of Biotechnology, Government of India. It has already been recognised by the Mysore University as a research centre for conducting research in Bioscience and Biotechnology leading to Ph.D. Anna University, Coimbatore has recognised the institute as a centre for research-based degrees of M.Tech, Integrated Ph.D. and Ph.D. in Biotechnology. On completion, these students can also apply for scholarship and practical training as above.
Graduates and those awaiting degree results in Bioscience, Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Agriculture and Veterinary Science may apply with a DD of Rs 650/- for application form and prospectus to Director, SCMS Biotechnology Division, Management House, South Kalamassery, Cochin-682033.
