NOTIFICATION
Admission to Diploma in Agricultural Sciences-2012
Applications are invited for admission to the PG Diploma Course in Solid Waste Management at College of Agriculture, Vellayani.
1. Name of the Course : Diploma in Agricultural Science
2. Number of seats: 50.
3. Duration of the course: Four semesters (Two years)
4. Eligibility : Pass in Plus Two with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or equivalent qualification.
5. Reservation : 20 % of the seats will be reserved for VHSE (Agri) candidates. In the absence of VHSE (Agri) candidates the seats will be converted to General merit.
6. Mode of selection:
(i) The candidates will be selected based on the percentage of marks in the Plus two course
(ii) For VHSE reserved seats selection will be done based on the marks in the VHSE (Agri) course
7. Fee :
(i) Tuition Fee Rs.25,000/- per semester
(ii) Admission fee of Rs.2000/- at the time of admission.
(iii) Caution deposit of Rs.2000/- at the time of admission.
The fees are subject to revision, at the discretion of the University
8 Medium of instruction : English
9.Application fee :
Rs. 300/- for General candidates
Rs.150/- for SC/ST candidates.
10.Mode of Payment:
Fee may be remitted at any SBT Branch in the State to the SB A/c. No.57006546701 of the Comptroller, KAU, maintained at SBT KAU Branch, Main Campus, Vellanikkara and the counterfoil of the remittance slip must be attached with the application form.
11. Residence :
On-campus residence is not compulsory. The students have to find out boarding and lodging themselves. However, according to availability of hostel, the students will be given joint occupation charging the rent as per existing rules.
The last date for receipt of application in the KAU is 24.08.2012
N.B:- Application forms without counterfoil of fee remitted will summarily be rejected.
