NOTIFICATION

Applications are invited for admission to the following Under-graduate degree programmes in the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore for the Academic year 2012-13.

1.  Under-graduate degree programmes offered and eligibility

1. B.Sc.(Agri.)* B.Sc.(Agri.Biotech.) / B.Sc.(Forestry) / B.Sc.(Seri.) Should have passed two years PUC with of Karnataka (45%) or its equivalent examination with PCB (45%) and any other optional Science subject or Inter(Agri.). Ia cast of SC/ST, Cat-I and OBC (40%).

2. B.Sc.(Ag.Maco.) / B.Tech.(Agri.Engg.) / B.Tech./Food Science & Technology) Should have passed two years PUC of Karnataka (45%) or its equivalent examination with PCM (45%) and any other Science subject or Inter(Agri.). In case of SC/ST, Cat-I and OBC (40%).

*Also offered in Kannada medium at Bangalore Campus only, if a minimum of 20 students opt for it.

There is no need for CET marks for admission to any degree programme in the University.

1. Merit for admission is based on PCB marks for SI. No. 1 and PCM marks for SI. No. 2. Merit for Agriculturists quota is based on 50 per cent marks of PCB / PCM as required and 50 per cent of Practical Test marks. A Practical Test will be conducted by the University for admission to seats reserved for Children of Agriculturists.

2. Reservation of Scats: Excluding the All India quota under ICAR, New Delhi, reservation of seats for various categories will be made in accordance with the existing reservation policy of Government of Karnataka. Provision is also made for admission to the Kashmiri Migrants. There is also provision to admit Foreign Nationals/NRIs/Children of NRIs on payment of prescribed Institutional Economical Fee.

3. Application and Prospectus: For all the Under-graduate degree programmes only one application is sufficient. Applications can be obtained either in person or through post from the following addresses on all working days; Registrar's Office, UAS, GKVK, Bangalore -560065/ Dean; Agricultural College, GKVK, Bangalore - 560065/ V.C. Farm, Mandya-571401/ Karekere, Post Box No. 39, Hassan- 573201 / Navile, Shimoga 577201 / Sericulture College, Kurubur, Chintamanl - 563125 and Forestry College, Ponnampet-571216 and Krlshi Vignana Kendras at - Audonahalli (Doddaballapura)/ KonehaUl (Tiptur)/ Brahmavar (Udupi)/ Hiriyur / Chamarajanagar from 28-05-2012 to 23-06-2012. Further, the application can also be downloaded from the University website : www.ujusbangalore.edu.in. Only printed application has to be submitted (not soft copy).

4. Application fee: The application fee is Rs.500/- (for General category) / Rs. 250/- (for SC/ST /Cat-I of Karnataka State only on production of a copy of valid caste certificate) to be paid in the form of Demand Draft only drawn in favour of the Comptroller, UAS, Bangalore, purchased on or after the date of this Notification, payable at Bangalore. Candidates seeking applications through post may send their requisition along with Demand Draft and a self-addressed envelope (12" x 10" size) affixing a postal stamp of Rs.50/-. Candidates who are submitting the applications downloaded from the University website should enclose a D.D. obtained between 28-05-2012 to 23-06-2012 and specified as above.

5. Fee prescribed for all degree programmes at the time of admission:

6. The filled-in application should be submitted to THE REGISTRAR, UAS, GKVK, BANGALORE-560065 only, on or before the last date. Late and incomplete applications are liable to be rejected. The Admission is governed by Govt. Orders/UAS Act (2009) and UAS(B) Regulations issued from time to time. The University will not be responsible for any postal delay.
