VACANCY NOTICE
Application is invited for one temporary post of Senior Research Fellow in the research project entitled, “All India Network on HS” (C: VMC-1: ICAR :) at the following emoluments and qualifications
Emoluments: Rs. 18,000 pm + HRA for first year and second year and Rs. 20,000/- + HRA for the third year (for Post Graduate in veterinary Science) and Rs. 16,000 + HRA pm (for first and second year an Rs. 18,000 + HRA pm for the third year for Post Graduate in subjects other than Veterinary Science.
Qualifications:
B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree or B.Sc. degree in any relevant branch of Life Sciences/Biological Sciences with at least second Division.
Master’s Degree in Veterinary Bacteriology & Virology/Veterinary Microbiology/Microbiology/Veterinary Pathology/Animal Biotechnology/ Biotechnology with specialization in Bacteriology/Virology/Immunology– with an overall credit point average of 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks and above.
Knowledge of Punjabi up to Matric level. The condition of knowledge in Punjabi is however relaxable if the candidate is found otherwise deserving10 or equivalent.
Imp: Candidates with B.V.Sc. & A.H. as basic qualification will be preferred.
Job responsibilities:
a. Research duties as per the mandate of the project.
b. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
The post is purely temporary and the services of the incumbent are liable to be terminated at any time without any prior notice. The appointment will be upto 31-3-2013 or co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier. The initial appointment will for six months and will be extended subject to satisfactory work. The incumbent will have no right what-so-ever for absorption in the regular university service.
The last date for receipt of applications in this office is 24-08-12 by 1.00 P.M. the candidates should appear for interview on 27-08-12 at 11.00 A.M. in the office of the undersigned. No separate intimation for interview will be sent. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
