DIPLOMA COURSE IN THERMAL POWER PLANT ENGINEERING 2012-2013
Covets the
mandatory requirements under Indian Electricity Act 2003
WHY YOU SHOULD
JOIN:
The
main aim of the course is to develop a pool of technically trained manpower
readily available for recruitment in the Indian Power Sector. The course
improves and enhances the know ledge and skill of the diploma engineers.
ABOUT THE
COURSE:
This
course is of one year duration {2 semesters) and covers all aspects of
Operation & Maintenance of Thermal Power Plant. The course shall be held at
the NPTI. WR. Nagpur and on-job training will be conducted at the nearby Power
Stations.
The
course authorizes the Diploma Engineers to operate or undertake maintenance of
any part or whole of generating station of capacity I00MH and above together
with the associated sub-station.
ELEGIBILITY:
Three
years Diploma in Mechanical'Electrical.'Control and Instrumentation Engineering
or Equivalent from a recognized Technical Board with minimum of 60% (55% for
reserved categories) marks.
SELECTION
PROCEDURE:
As per merit (%
of marks in Diploma.)
AGE LIMIT: 25
years as on 01 TO/2012.
No
age limit for sponsored candidates.
TOTAL SEATS: 65
(Sixty Five).
Reservation for SC/ST OBC Physically Handicapped is applicable as per Govt,
norms. The seats may vary as per discretion of NPTI. 25% seats arc reserved for
sponsored candidates.
PLACEMENT:
NPTI
maintains close linkages with Power Utilities for employment of these trained
engineers.

Typed
application on plain paper strictly as per application format (Proforma
"A") given on website www.nptinagpur.com alongwith a Demand Draft
(Non-Refundable) of Rs. 600/- in favour of NPTI Nagpur. Payable at Nagpur
should reach the Principal Director. National Power Training Institute (WR).

passport size photographs and attested photocopies of documents in the
following format:

starting from 10th standard stating Branch/Discipline. Subject, College/
Institution, % of marks in each semester year. % of Diploma, year of passing.
16. Demand Draft No., date & bank's name. 17. Identity proof of
candidate. 18. Signature of Candidate Attach attested
photocopies of proof of item No. 9, 12, 13. 14. 15 & 17 alongwith following
document: a) Diploma' Provisional Diploma certificate, b) Document from
candidate's Board Institution stating equivalence of grades with percentage of
marks, in case of gradation system. c) Document from candidate's Board
Institution stating basis of Diploma percentage to be on which years/semesters
percentages, if it is not clearly mentioned in mark sheets, d) Caste and Caste
validity certificates for SC/ST OBC candidates. Non-creamy layer certificate to
be additionally produced by OBC candidates, issued on or after 01 -04-2012 or
valid upto 31 -03-2013. e) Sponsored candidates should submit sponsorship
certificate. No objection Certificate from tile sponsoring organization.
Minimum
one year experience certificate after diploma in engineering, certificate
showing continuation of service, appointment letter. 12 salary slips signed by
company officials Bank statement for last 12 months signed by bank manager 12
Voucher payment slips signed by company officials, f) Sponsored candidates also
submit an undertaking on Rs. 50/- stamp paper, the text of which is to be
downloaded (Proforma "B") from website www.nptinagpur.com. g) Candidates are advised to visit website
from time to time and mention their e-mail address in application without fail,
h) Incomplete application without attested photocopies of all above documents
and DD will be rejected. All the instructions shall be uploaded on institute's

FEES: For
non-sponsored candidates Rs. 1.20.000'- + Service tax (12.36%). in two
installments.
For
sponsored candidates Rs. 1.70,000/- ♦ Service tax (12.36%) payable in lump-sum
at the time of admission. There is no fee concession for any category of
candidates.

from foreign countries: SAARC Countries: US$11000-+ Service tax (12.36%)
Other
countries: US $13000/-+ Service tax (12.36%)
Lodging/Boarding: Facilities
available on chargeable basis. Separate hostel facility for girls available.
