Ph.D Entrance Examination - Biomedical Sciences

Biomedical Research Cluster (SBRC) is a new initiative of Symbiosis International University. Dedicated to facilitating evidence – based translational research involving scientific applications for affordable health care solutions.

The University invites applications on prescribed form from eligible candidates for Ph.D. entrance test for admission in Bio medical Sciences under the faculty of Health Sciences.

Eligibility Criteria : Post Graduation with good academic track records from a recognised University in the fields of Biological Sciences, Medical Sciences (including Dentistry, Nursing, AYUSH) Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Bioengineering Candidates passed NET /GATE / M.Phil are exempted from entrance examination.

Selection Procedure : Entrance Test followed by Personal Interview.

Number of seats : 12

Date & Time of Entrance : Saturday 1st October 2011 (11.00 am to 1.00)

Registration starts from : 12/09/2011

Registration Fees : Rs. 1000.00 (by cash or Demand Draft in favour of Symbiosis International University, Pune payable at Pune).

Last date of registration : Wednesday, 28th September 2011.

The Pre Ph.D. course is mandatory, except for those who have been granted exemption as per U.G.C. rules & regulations.

Submission of Research Outline:
The candidate should submit eight copies of his/her research outline along with
the application form (for registration) indicating the following:
1. Rationale and Significance of the Study
2. Aims and Objectives of the Study
3. Scope of the Study
4. Bibliography
The research outline should be printed on A-4 size pages with appropriate margins and typed using Arial font, pt. size 11 with double spacing. Please attach eight (8) copies of the research outline.
