The Faculty of Science, University of Delhi has
invited applications for admission in the MSc Courses in the following subjects
during Academic Year 2013-14.
(i) Physics
(ii) Chemistry
(iii) Botany
(iv) Zoology
(v) Anthropology
(vi) Geology
(vii) Environmental Studies
Eligibility:
Candidates seeking admission to MSc Course must
have passed BSc (Honours) / BSc (General) / BSc Programme examination or BA
(Honours) Examination, as the case may be of the University of Delhi or of any
other University whose examination is recognized by the University of Delhi, as
equivalent to any of the aforesaid examination and fulfill other conditions of
eligibility.
Age
Requirements
As per Ordinance I of the University, there is no
minimum age bar for admission to the under-graduate and post-graduate courses
in the University and its colleges except in the courses where the respective
regulatory bodies (such as MCI, AICTE etc.) have prescribed the minimum age
requirement in their regulations.
Application
form for Admission
The Bulletin of Information with the Application
Form will be available from the Office of the Faculty of Science, Porta Cabin,
Near Department of Zoology, University of Delhi, Delhi - 110007. The Prospectus
can be obtained by depositing a draft for Rs.200/- in favour of Registrar,
University of Delhi payable at State Bank of India, Service Branch, Delhi (Code
No. 7687).
Procedure
for Admission through Entrance Examination:
The completed application form together with
Photostat copies (only) of each of the detailed mark sheet of BSc Exam,
Matriculation / Secondary School Certificate bearing the date of birth,
Admission Ticket and Bank Draft on account of Exam. Fee for Rs.500/- ( 250/-
for SC / ST Category) in Favour of Registrar, University of Delhi, Delhi
Payable at State Bank of India, Service Branch, New Delhi (Code No. 7687) Shall
be submitted to the Head, Department of (Quote the Subject offered for MSc)
University of Delhi (North Campus) Delhi-110007 in person or reach by post on
or before 31.5.2013 up to 4.00 pm.
Procedure
for Admission for Others:
Candidates seeking admission based on merit on the
basis of marks obtained in BSc (Hons.) Exam. of Delhi University only (not
through Ent. Exam.) will apply for admission on the prescribed Application form
(marked ‘B’) together with Photostat copies each of the detailed mark sheet of
BSc Exam. Matriculation / Secondary School Certificate bearing date of birth.
Application duly completed in all respect should reach the Office of the
Assistant Registrar, Faculty of Science, University of Delhi, (North Campus)
Delhi-110007 in
person or reach by registered post by 31.5.2013 at 4.00 pm.
The Entrance Examination will be conducted during 14th June
2013 to 20th June 2013.
The Entrance Examination will be conducted by the
Head of the Department (Subject Concerned), University of Delhi, Delhi-7.
