CUTN ENTRANCE TEST–2013 (Integrated, UG , PG PROGRAMMES)
Applications are invited for admission to the
following Programmes of CUTN for the academic year 2013-2014 through Entrance
Test scheduled on 13-07-2013.
The CUTN Entrance Test scheduled on 13-07-2013 is
for the residual seats after admission of candidates through CUCET-2013.
Candidates who have already appeared for CUCET-2013 need not apply for this
entrance test.
Central University of Tamil Nadu was established in
the year 2009, by an act of parliament. Presently the University offers the
following programmes.
1) Five-Year Integrated M. Sc. Mathematics
2) Five-Year Integrated M. Sc. Physics
3) Five-Year Integrated M. Sc. Chemistry
4) Five-Year Integrated M. Sc. Economics
5) Five-Year Integrated M. Sc. Life Sciences
6) M. A. English Studies
7) M. A. Classical Tamil
8) M. Sc. General Economics
9) M. Sc. Financial Economics
10) M. Sc. Actuarial Economics
11) M. Sc. Environmental Economics
12) M. Sc. Applied Quantitative Economics
The University has planned to introduce the
following programmes from the Academic Year 2013-2014.
1) M. A. Social Work in Mental Health
2) M. A. Media and Communication
3) Four-Year Integrated B.Sc. Ed.
The University took part in the Central
Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET-2013) conducted on 2nd, 15th &
16th June 2013 for admission to its Integrated & Post Graduate Programmes.
In addition to the aforesaid Entrance examination, the University has planned
to conduct a separate Entrance Test on 13th July 2013 for filling up the seats
falling vacant after the admission process through CUCET-2013.
EXAMINATION
The standard of the UG Entrance exam shall be at
the CBSE +2 level & PG exam shall be at the Graduation level.

Instructions:
1. Application form can be downloaded from the CUTN
website (www.cutn.ac.in).
2. Candidates can choose only two options in sl.
no. 12, (refer application form) based on the eligibility.
3. Candidates who have already appeared for
CUCET-2013 need not apply for this entrance test. The CUTN Entrance Test
scheduled on 13-07-2013 is for the residual seats after admission of candidates
through CUCET-2013.
4. Enclose your attested 10 +2/HSC/Intermediate/UG
mark sheet along with the application form.
5. Application fee is Rs.500/- for General and OBC
(Non –Creamy Layer) candidates.
Rs.300/- for SC/ST/PWD/Women Candidates.
6. Fee can be paid through RTGS/NEFT/CBS or through
Demand Draft favouring “Central University of Tamil Nadu” payable at
Thiruvarur.
7. Application should be filled in by the
candidate’s own hand writing in capital letters.
8. Last date for the receipt of filled in application form at
the University is 08.07.2013 at 5.00pm.
9. Mere applying or appearing in the Entrance exam
does not entitle admission.
10. Hall tickets for the exam can be downloaded
from the website (www.cutn.ac.in) from 10.07.2013 onwards.
