B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech. in
Chemical Engineering or Equivalent Interested Candidates are requested to
submit the filled in Application Form for the Admission to the Ph.D. Programme

) to the office of the Department of Chemical Engineering. Reservation of seats:
SC = 22% and ST = 6% as per University rules.

In case a candidate wishes to apply
for admission in the Ph.D. programme in Chemical Engineering having preceding
qualifying degree for a subject in which there is no University Post-Graduate
Department then he/she will have to seek an endorsement by the Ph.D. committee
of Chemical Engineering. This endorsement should be submitted along with
his/her application for admission to the Ph.D. programme [Ref. Clause # 3.3 and
Clause # 9.4 of University of Calcutta (Regulation for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy,
Ph.D.), Regulations 2009].
Candidates having B.E./B.Tech.
Degree with valid GATE score as well as candidates having M.E./M.Tech. Degree
are exempted from ` the Admission Test. However, they have to qualify in
the interview. The filled in form
should be submitted to the office of the department only after paying Rs. 200/-
in the University Cash Counter (as application fee for Ph.D. admission) through
a challan obtainable from the Cash Counter at C.U. duly forwarded by the Head
of the Department with seal.
