ADMISSION NOTIFICATION 2013-14
NIEPMD invites applications from candidates for
admission to the following courses recognized by the RCI, Govt of India for the
academic year 2013-14.
1.
BEd-Special Education (Multiple Disabilities):
Eligibility: A Bachelor Degree from an UGC approved
University in any of the Secondary School subjects in the pattern of 10+2+3 or
11+1+3 with minimum marks of (OC - 50%. BC -45%, MBC / DNC - 43%, SC / ST - 40%
Or
PG Degree in Economics, Commerce, Home Science,
Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy, Logic and Indian Culture
from an UGC approved University with minimum marks of 50%
Application Fee: Rs. 500/- (Rs. 350/- for SC / ST /
PH)
2. Diploma
in Education -Special Education (Deaf blind):
Eligibility: A pass in 10+2 / HSc / Intermediate
with 50% of marks
Application Fee: Rs. 300/ (Rs. 200 for SC / ST /
PH)
3. Diploma
in Education -Special Education (Cerebral Palsy):
Eligibility: A Pass in 10+2 / HSc / Intermediate
Application Fee: Rs. 300/ (Rs. 200 for SC / ST /
PH)
4. Diploma
in Education - Special Education (Autism Spectrum Disorders):
Eligibility: A Pass in 10+2 / HSc / Intermediate
Application Fee: Rs. 300/ (Rs. 200 for SC / ST /
PH)
5. PG
Diploma in Developmental Therapy (MD: Physical & Neurological)
Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Science,
Life Science, Paramedical Science with 50% marks from a recognized university.
OR
Any Bachelor’s Degree with 50% marks and an allied
course in the field of disability rehabilitation or at least one year hands on
experience in working with persons with disability and their families or OR
Master’s degree in Child Development , Social Work
6. PG
Diploma in Early Intervention
Eligibility: MBBS, BMR or BRS (MR), BEd in Special
Education, Bachelors in OT, PT, BASLP, Masters in Child Psychology, Masters in
Child Development with 50% aggregate marks and 40% marks for SC / ST candidates
Age: Not exceeding 35 years

BEd-Special Education & PGD: Rs. 500/- (For SC
/ ST / PH - Rs.350)
All Diploma Courses: Rs. 300/- (For SC / ST / PH -
Rs.200)
1. Government of India norms for Reservation of
seats will be followed for Diploma course and Government of Tamil Nadu norms be
followed for the Degree and Post Diploma courses.
2. The courses will be offered subject to the response
from the candidates’ / filling up half of the intake capacity of each.
3. The Complete information on admission can be
obtained in the prospectus and also from the Institute website. The downloaded application
form duly filled in, shall be forwarded to The Director, NIEPMD along with the
required application fee. Application without demand draft (for downloaded
application only) and required copies of certificates will not be entertained.
**Admission to Diploma courses will be based on
successful completion of ON LINE APTITUDE TEST to be conducted by Rehabilitation
Council of India, New Delhi, for further details log on to: www.rehabcouncil.nic.in
