In recent years, policymakers, donors and
implementers have been faced with inadequate evidence relating to diet,
nutrition and disease especially in India. This has constrained the accurate
identification of problems and prevented the adoption of context relevant means
to achieve desired policy interventions and programme objectives.
Objectives
This postgraduate diploma aims to provide
comprehensive training in public health nutrition in a global setting with the
choice of specialising in a number of topics and a range of contexts.

Criteria
The course
would be open to
Graduates in all disciplines, particularly public
health, nutrition and medicine;
Paramedical professionals such as nurses, public
health educators, social workers and health assistants;
Researchers from nutrition and allied fields
including clinicians involved in nutrition
Research and nutrition programme related
practitioners in the public and private sectors
Course Fee
The Post Graduate Diploma course in Public Health
Nutrition would be offered to Indian students at a nominal fee of 30,000 INR
(non-refundable). An additional non-refundable exam fee (of 3000 INR) would be
collected from each student before the commencement of the second semester.
The Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health
Nutrition would be offered at a nominal fee of 1000 USD (non-refundable). An
additional non-refundable exam fee (of 100 USD) would be collected from each
student before the commencement of the second semester.
