Post Graduate Certificate in Development Management (PGCDM)

The Center for Education in Social Sector (CEdSS) started the PGCDM program to develop a distinctive space in the arena of continuing education for mid-level development practitioners in the social sector.

The aim of the PGCDM program is to create a cadre of development professionals with exceptional capacities through
Combining the best practices of experience in the field and exposure to the relevant management practices for systemic improvement
Enhancing capacity, skills and influencing organizational efficiency of mid-level managers to develop organizations that create a larger impact.

PGCDM offers a modular program spread over three semesters with a focus on off-campus application exercises. The contact (on-campus) sessions are held for one week every two months. During the off-campus period, participants work on applying their learning within their organization along with a mentor from their organization. This prepares participants for higher responsibilities while continuing to work in their organizations.

Eligibility
Candidates applying for the PGCDM should be at least a
Graduate (in any discipline) from a recognized University, with a minimum two years of relevant work experience. The medium of instruction is English and the participants are expected to have basic proficiency in computers.

A processing fee of Rs. 500 to be paid by cheque or demand draft favoring 'S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research' payable at Mumbai and addressed to the Centre for Education in Social Sector, SPJIMR
The candidates nominated by their employers should apply to the Institute with a supporting letter from their organization
Applicants will have to submit documents supporting educational qualifications

 Selection Process
Candidates applying for this programme should be eager to learn and be receptive to engaging with the development sector on a long-term basis. Selection will be based on the following parameters:

Work experience in relevant sector
Telephonic/personal interview
