NB:
Admission to Ph. D. & M.S.(R) can be on ful time and Part-time basis,
depending upon availability of seats.
3. M.Tech. High Value Asslstantshlp:
Chem. Engg., Civil Engg. (Structural Engg. only) & Elect. Engg. (Commn.
Engg., Integrated Electronics & Circuits, Power Electronics, Electrical
Machines & Drives and Power Systems only): It is 3 years duration program
with high value assistantship of Rs. 15000/-pm. Students are required to put 20
hours/week for supporting departmental laboratories.
4. Eligibility: A
CGPA of 6.75 for General/0BC(6.25 for SC/ST/PH) on a 10 point scale or
equivalent or 60% marks (55% for SC.. ST, PH| In aggregate (of all the
years/semesters of the qualifying exam.). A relaxation in CGPA, marks to 6.25
(55%) is also available to those with M.A. Degree in English, for admission to
Ph.D. in English. For admission to Ph.D./M. Tech./M.S. (R) programmes, the GATE
Score of a candidate wherever required should not be lower than the minimum
prescribed viz. 300 for General/OBC and 200 for SC/ST/ PH candidates. For
sponsored/part-time candidates the minimum experience required as on 01.01.2014
is 2 years for Ph.D. and 1 year for M.S. (R). For details please refer to
information brochure.
5.
Financial Assistance available for Ph.D./M.S.(R)/ M.Tech students as per
details given in the Information Brochure. SC/ST students are exempted from
payment of tuition fee.
