AIM:    To prepare the boys academically, physically and mentally for entry into the National Defence Academy and other walks of life.

AGE LIMITS: For Admission to class VI

Born not before 02 Jul 2003 and not after 01 Jul 2004.

For admission to class IX

Born not before 02 Jul 2000 and not after 01 Jul 2001 and should be studying in class VIII in a recognised school.

CURRICULUM: 10 + 2 System of the CBSE (New Delhi)

DATE OF ENTRANCE EXAMINATION:       05   Jan 2014 (SUNDAY)

EXAMINATION CENTRES: Kozhikode.     Ernakulam.     Kottayam.

Wayanad. Sainik School Kazhakootam and Kavaratti at Lakshadweep (Subject to sufficient number of candidates)

Class IX:       15

ADMISSION: The admissions will be made strictly in accordance with the merit in the Entrance Examination. Interview and Medical fitness of candidates. The school has not deputed any individual I/ organization / institution for admission related coaching / training.

CATEGORY WISE RESERVATION OF SEATS:    15 % for SC and 7.5% for ST.

25% for sons of Defence and Ex-service Personnel.

SCHOLARSHIPS: Different types of Scholarships are given by Central/State Governments depending upon the Parents' monthly income. Details are in the Prospectus.

Thvandrum 695 585 from 17 Oct 2013 through a Demand Draft payable at Thvandrum drawn in favour of 'Principal, Sainik School Kazhakootam" along with a request letter. Address with Telephone No.. Category and the class applied for and Date of Birth should be clearly mentioned in the request letter. On receipt of request letter and draft the Prospectus along with application form S model Question paper will be sent by Registered post. The application form can also be purchase directly from the school office or downloaded from the school website 'www.sainikschooltvm.nic.in' from 17 Oct 2013. Application forms downloaded from the website are to be submitted duly Tilled to this office along with registration fee. On receipt of filled application forms. Prospectus and Model question papers will be dispatched to the applicant.
