Admission Announcement for the year 2014-16

Two Year Full-Time Post Graduate Diploma in Management

ELIGIBILITY: At least a three years bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline recognized by AlCTE, Students appearing for the final examination in 2014 can also apply.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

• Applicants to appear in the Common Admission Test (CAT) of IIMs. The Institute shortlists the applicants on the basis of CAT scores. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.

• Applicants can apply online by visiting our website: www.lbsim.ac.in on payment of ?1950/-. Candidates can also procure application form from the Institute. Candidates procuring application form by post shall send a Draft of 72025/- in favour of Lai Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management.

• GO/PI would be conducted at Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chenna Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Guwahatr. Bhubaneswar and Thiruvananthapuram.

PLACEMENT: Students' driven Placement Cell maintains a close liaison with potential employers. Students of 2011-2013 batch have been placed in reputed Indian and Foreign companies. Details available in the Admission Brochure.

ACCOMMODATION: Separate hostel arrangements for boys and girls. Note: LBSIM also facilitates education loans from Banks.

How To Apply

STEP 1: Admission Test

All candidates seeking admission to LBSIM will be required to appear in the Common Admission Test (CAT) to be conducted by IIMs from October 11 to November 6, 2012. Details for obtaining the CAT bulletin can be taken from the CAT advertisement issued by IIMs on July 18, 2012 in all leading national newspapers and at IIM website www.catiim.in

STEP 2: Registration at LBSIM

Besides CAT, candidates are required to register at LBSIM, Delhi.

STEP 3: GD and Interview

Candidates shortlisted on the basis of CAT score will be called for Group Discussion (GD), Extempore, and Personal Interview (PI) for final selection at one of the following places (as selected by the candidate at the time of applying for registration with LBSIM):

(1) Delhi (2) Hyderabad (3) Kolkata (4) Mumbai (5) Bengaluru (6) Guwahati (7) Thiruvananthapuram (8) Chennai, and (9) Bhubaneswar

The weight age for final selection will be 60% for CAT score and 40% for Group Discussion, Extempore, and Personal Interview. Selected candidates will be intimated by Registered Post/ Courier/ Ordinary Post. No regret letters will be sent to those who are not selected. The Institute does not take any responsibility for postal delays and/ or loss in transit. Result of selected candidates is also displayed on Institute's website www.lbsim.ac.in.
