Notice 2014
Kochi, April 27, 2014: National Institute of
Technology Patna has invited applications for admission to M. Tech/ MURP
Program in Engineering/ Technology/ Planning for Sponsored category candidates
for Selection through Institute Admission Test and Interview during Autumn
Semester - Session 2014-15.
Full Time Sponsored Category:
Candidates who possess the minimum prescribed
qualification and are in service in any of the following establishments shall
be eligible for admission to the courses as sponsored candidate.
Defence or other
ministries of the Government of India or any other Government organization.
Established
industries Research and Development Organization as may be recognized by the
Institute from time to time.
Autonomous public
undertakings.
QIP Scheme of the
Govt. of India (as per Rules)
Universities and
recognized technical institutions, which are not covered by the QIP Scheme.
Sponsored candidate must fulfil minimum eligibility
criterion and must have
(i) Minimum two years’ experience as on 1st May
2014 from an organization as stated above.
(ii) Sponsorship certificate needs to be submitted
at the time of Interview for admission. “Sponsorship Certificate” issued by the
employer on their organization’s Letter Head, in format available with the
application form.
Full Time Direct Sponsored by Any State Government:
Candidate directly sponsored by any State
Government department under sponsored category provided the Candidate
(a) Has been directly sponsored by any State
Government, with full pay and allowances as per the Government rules. (i.e.
candidates cannot apply directly to the Institute)
(b) No financial assistance will be allowed by the
Institute and tuition fee and other charges shall be payable by the candidate
as per rules.
(c) Must have minimum eligibility criteria for
admission to Master’s program and satisfy the provisions under APPENDIX – II:
Rules regarding Admission of Sponsored Candidates to Postgraduate Courses.
(d) Institute shall allocate two additional
(Supernumerary) seats per specialization for such candidates.
(e) Unlike sponsored candidates from private
companies candidates directly sponsored by the Government may be exempted from
appearing at admission test and Interview.

Minimum Qualifications:
i) Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology/
Architecture/ Planning or equivalent Degree in relevant branch from a
recognized University/ Institute as per list of qualifying Degree for admission
to Master’s program of the Institute.

(ii) Have minimum 60% marks in aggregate or CGPA of
6.5 in 10 point scale in qualifying examination.
How to
apply:
1. Application must be submitted ONLINE through
website http://www.nitp.ac.in
2. After Submitting the application online, the
same is to be downloaded and the signed hard-copy along with recent photograph
and self-attested relevant certificates, document and application fee DD must
be sent to The Assistant Registrar
(Admission), Academic Section - NIT Patna, Ashok Rajpath, PATNA – 800005 (Bihar)
on or before the last date of submission.
3. Application fee of Rs 1000/- in the form of DD
drawn in favour of National Institute of Technology Patna Payable at Patna,
must accompany with the Hard copy of the online application to be submitted as
stated above.
