Why
should you join?
Power
Sector is a continuous expanding sector. The amendments in the Indian
Electricity Act. have opened private sector participation in Generation ol
Power. It has further created a large demand for the trained manpower in Power
Utilities. The main objective of the course is to create a technically skilled
trained manpower readily available for recruitment to the Indian power sector.
The course is a value addition to the diploma engineers.
On
successful completion of this course, the Diploma Engineers will find immense
opportunities and preference in employment with various companies of Power.
About
the Course: This is a job oriented unique course which covers complete
operation and maintenance of Thermal Power Plants, as per the guideline of CEA
regulations 2010.
Eligibility:
Passed three years Diploma in Mechanical/
Electrical/lnstnjmentation/ from a recognized technical board. Graduate
engineers are not eligible.
Age
Limit. No age limit.
Selection
Criteria for Admission: Percentage of marks obtained
in Diploma.
No.
of Seats: 60 (Sixty only). 25% seats are reserved for sponsored category.
Reservation for SC. ST. OBC (non-creamy layer) & PH will be as per Govt,
norms in the non-sponsored category. In case seats are vacant in
sponsored category, they will be filled by non sponsored candidates.
Fees:
1) ?151686/-(?1, 35,000/- + Service tax@12.36%) (in two equal installments) for
non sponsored candidates. 2) ?224720/-(?2. 00.000/- + Sen/ice tax @12.36 % (in
one installment) for sponsored candidates.
Additional
Fees: 1.Caution money. ?2000/- (Refundable) 2.Conveyance ?3600/- +
Sen/ice Tax @4.94% & Internet charges ?6O0/- + Service Tax@12.36% (One time
only) 3.Placement charge ?7500/- (to be paid after placement) + Service Tax@12.36%.
Lodging:
Facilities will be provided if available. The charges are @
?2400/- per month per student on twin sharing basis excluding food charges
(which is around ^2600/-pm). Hostel rent to be paid at a time for six months at
the time of admission.
Sponsored
Candidates: Candidates sponsored by their employer will be admitted directly.
They will have to submit original sponsorship letter at the time of admission.
