M.Tech (Sponsored) Admission Notice 2014-2015
Online applications are invited from eligible
sponsored candidates only for admission to the M. Tech programme in the
following departments for the academic session 2014-15.
Biotechnology and Medical Engineering
Chemical Engineering
Civil Engineering
Ceramic Engineering
Computer Science & Engg.
Electronics & Communication Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Metallurgical & Materials Engineering
Mining Engineering
Eligibility:
The candidates should have B. E. /B. Tech /M. Sc.
or equivalent degree in the discipline as mentioned above with not less than
60% marks or 6.5 CGPA in the qualifying examination. There is no relaxation in
academic requirement for any category / caste of candidates.
The candidates appearing B. E. / B. Tech / M. Sc.
(final semester) examination may also apply for the above programmes. However,
they have to produce their mark/grade sheet showing 60% marks or CGPA 6.5 in
aggregate latest by 30th September 2014, failing which their admission will
stand cancelled. Such students, at the time of counseling and admission, must
produce a certificate signed by the Principal or Registrar of the College last
attended stating that all examinations including practicals necessary for award
of the degree have been completed in order to be eligible for admission in the
prescribed format
Sponsored
students:
Applicants employed in other organizations
(institutions/industries/research organizations) can be considered under
sponsored category provided they satisfy the same qualification norms as above
and have a total of minimum two years full time continuous service in the
sponsoring organization. They have to attach duly completed form (NITR/AC/202)
through their employers with suitable endorsement while filling the Online
Application form. They are advised to come with experience certificate and
other relevant documents such as pay-slip, appointment order and Identity card
with which they can convince the selection committee about their length of
service in the sponsoring organization. The percentage of marks requirement for
sponsored candidates may be relaxed up to 55% or 6.0 CGPA if documentary
evidence of proven research and professional experience (publications,
unpublished works) in the appropriate field are submitted. Sponsored students
are not eligible for scholarships and placement facilities.

Applicants are advised to

c. Fill up and submit the online application form
accordingly
d. Pay non-refundable application fee of Rs.500/-
online at the same portal
