Animal Biotechnology Career Enhancement Programme 2014-2015
Translational Research Platorm for Veterinary
Biologicals [TRPVB], 2nd Floor, Central University Laboratory (CUL) Building,
Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS), Madhavaram Milk
Colony, Chennai - 600 051 has invited applications for admission to Animal
Biotechnology Career Enhancement Programme of year 2014-15.
Eligibility criteria
• Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply
• Candidates should have a first class post
graduate degree either in
M. V. Sc. Animal
/ Veterinary Biotechnology or other relevant disciplines
M.E. / M. Tech in
Electronics and Instrumentation; Biomedical Engineering; Biotechnology; Food
technology, Genetic Engineering;
Materials Science or other relevant disciplines
M.Sc. Animal
Biotechnology/ Biotechnology / Medical Microbiology or other relevant
disciplines
• 30% of seats will be reserved for
biotech-industry nominated candidates.
• If there is not enough industry nominated
candidates, the seats will be filled from general pool.
Application procedures
• The call for ABCEP training programme will be
advertised in national newspapers and websites (TANUVAS, TRPVB)
• The candidates should apply in the prescribed
format (also downloadable from TRPVB website) along with the attested copies of
their certificates
• An application fee of rupees five hundred
(Rs.500/-) should be attached in the form of a demand draft payable to
Director, TRPVB,
payable at Chennai.
Documents to be submitted along with the
application
1. Filled in application form
2. Proof of date of birth (attested copy of 10th/
HSC mark sheet)
3. Attested photocopy of the undergraduate degree
certificate
4. Attested photocopy of the post graduate degree
certificate
5. No objection certificate (in original) from the
competant authority for the candidates who are already employed
6. Demand draft (please write the name of the
candidate and date of birth on the back of the demand draft)
7. Provide documentary evidence for any extra
qualitifcations, publications etc.
Mode of selection
• One hundred applications will be shortlisted for
the written examination.
• The shortlisting will be based on the
proportional representation of applications received from each of the academic
stream.
• The shortlisted candidates will be called for a
written examination of one hour duration consisting of multiple choice /
objective
questions in the field of biotechnology, general
aptitude and general knowledge
• Twenty five candidates will be shortlisted for
the interview based on the written examination scores
• Personal interview will focus to evaluate the
subject knowledge, practical lab skills, aptitude, communication skills and
previous
research experience of the candidates
• The final selection will be based on the
interview performance
