The Institute of Human Resources Development (IHRD) under the Government of Kerala, has invited applications for admission to the 11th Standard for Physical Science and Integrated Sciences groups conducting in the IHRD's 24 Technical Higher Secondary Schools for the year 2009- 10.
IHRD's Technical Higher Secondary Schools are functioning at Kaloor , Kochi – 17, (240 seats); Puthuppally, Kottayam (230 seats): Vazhakkad, Malappuram (100 seats); Peerumedu, Idukki (80 seats); Vattamkulam, Malappuram (180 seats); Muttom, Thodupuzha (180 seats); Mallappally, Pathanamthitta (120 seats); Kaprassery, Nedumbassery (130 seats); Perinthalmanna, Malappuram (150 seats); Muttada, Thiruvananthapuram (150 seats); Muthuvalloor, Malappuram (100 seats); Perissery, Chengannur (100 seats); Adoor, Pathanamthitta (150 seats); Rameswaram , Pathanamthitta (50 seats); Varadium, Avanur Thrissur (100 seats); Chettuva, Thrissur (50 seats); Ayiloor, Palakkad (100 seats); Korangad, Kozhikkodu (100 seats); Cheemeni, Kasargode (100 seats); Aluva (100 seats); Cherthala (150 seats); Kalanjoor, Pathanamthitta (100 seats); Thiruthiyad, Kozhikode (100 seats).
There shall be two groups in the Technical Higher Secondary courses viz Physical Science and Integrated Science with the following Technical and General subjects.
• Physical Science Group – Part I -English, Part II -Computer Information Technology (Theory & Practical); Part III- Physics (Theory & Practical), Chemistry (Theory & Practical), Mathematics, Electronics Service Technology (Theory & Practical).
• Integrated Science Group – Part I - English, Part II - Computer Information Technology (Theory & Practical), Part III- Physics (Theory & Practical), Chemistry (Theory & Practical), Mathematics, Biology (Theory & Practical). The successful completion of standard XII will lead to award of Higher Secondary Examination Certificate.
Eligibility
For Physical Science Group, a pass in SSLC / THSLC or its equivalent with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
For Integrated Science Group, Pass in SSLC or its equivalent with Biology and Mathematics as subjects of study.
Maximum age limit is 20 years as on 1.6.2009, relaxable by 2 years for SC/ ST.
How to Apply
Application form and prospectus can be downloaded from the website www.ihrdkerala.org or www.ihrd.ac.in and duly filled up application along with a DD of Rs. 100/- (Rs. 50/- for SC / ST) drawn in favour of the Principal of the respective School, self attested copies of mark list of the qualifying examination and should send to the Principal of the Technical Higher Secondary School concerned so as to reach on or before 23rd May 2009.
Fee
Admission fee Rs. 300/- , tuition fee – Rs. 5000 per year, special fees Rs. 3000/- per year, cost of school diary & identity card Rs. 100 per year, Examination fee Rs. 300/- per year, student amenities fund Rs. 500/- per year, sports and arts fee – Rs. 150 per year, caution deposit- Rs. 200/- .
