National University of Educational Planning and Administration (NUEPA), 17-B, Sri Aurobindo Marg, New Delhi-110016, fully maintained by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India and engaged in capacity building and research in educational policy, planning and administration, has invited applications for admission to the Full-time Integrated M. Phil - Ph. D and Full-time Direct Ph. D (34 seats) and Part-time Ph. D. Programmes (5 seats) for the year 2009-10. These will include those qualifying from the M. Phil. programme of NUEPA.

Reservations will be made as per the reservation policy of the Government of India.

Those selected for the Full-time Integrated M. Phil - Ph. D and Full-time Direct Ph. D will be offered Fellowship of Rs. 13000/- p.m. + contingency as per rules. NET qualified candidates, who have been awarded Junior Research Fellowships by the UGC and who fulfill the required qualifications, may also apply.

Applicants for the Full-time Integrated M. Phil - Ph. D Programme should have a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST) or its equivalent Grade in Master's Degree in Education/Social Sciences/Allied disciplines from a recognized University. Candidates who are yet to clear their final examination at the Master's level are also eligible to apply subject to the satisfying the eligibility conditions and submitting its proof at the time of interview.

Applicants for admission to Full-time Direct Ph. D Programme should have an M.Phil Degree in an area closely related to educational planning and administration and/or exceptionally brilliant academic record coupled with publications of high quality.

Those seeking admission to Part-time Ph. D Programme should possess the educational qualifications as needed for Full-time Integrated M. Phil-Ph D. programme, should currently be in full-time employment, should be a senior level educational functionary/administrator with a minimum of five years work experience in teaching, educational planning and administration.

The selection process includes initial short-listing of applications based on the relevance and quality of the brief write-up (in the prescribed format) in the proposed area of research to be submitted along with the application form.

Written test for the short-listed candidate will be held at 9 a.m on 27th June, 2009 at NUEPA. Face-to-face interview for the qualified candidates will be held from 9 am on June 29, 30 and July 1, 2009 at NUEPA. Last date of admission is 24th July, 2009. Session begins on 27th July, 2009.

Admission form and Prospectus can be obtained from NUEPA by remitting a sum of Rs. 200/- ( Rs. 100/- for SC/ST candidates) by Demand Draft in favour of 'Registrar, NUEPA', payable at New Delhi if required by Post or purchased in person.

Filled-in application along with three copies of the brief write-up on any one of the proposed area(s) of research (around 2500 words), within the broad areas of educational policy, planning, administration and finance as per the outline given in the Prospectus and in the website, www.nuepa.org, should reach 'The Registrar, National University of Educational Planning and Administration (NUEPA), 17-B, Sri Aurobindo Marg, New Delhi-110016', latest by 29th May, 2009, by Registered Post with the envelope marked as Admission to Full- time Integrated M. The filled-in application can also be submitted in person to the office of the Registrar. Those in employment should send their application for admission to Part-time Ph.D. programme through proper channel.
