Candidates should have passed HSC (10+2)/CBSE/other examinations recognized as equivalent thereto with the subject combinations/marks as prescribed in the Notification/Prospectus.
Vocational stream candidates will be considered for B.V.Sc. & A.H. and B.F.Sc. Degree courses only against the seats reserved for them. The maximum number of attempts taken to pass the qualifying examination is limited to three for SC/ST candidates and two for others. The improvement marks in HSC Examination of any year will not be considered for admission. There is no age limit for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates. For others, the age limit is 21 years as on 01.07.2009. No relaxation of age limit is permissible on any grounds.
Candidates will be selected based on their performance in the HSC/equivalent examination as per the Government Orders. Separate application form should be used for B.V.Sc. & A.H., B.F.Sc. and B.Tech (Food Processing Technology) Degree courses.
Request letter for application forms should contain the name of the candidate and the course for which the application (B.V.Sc & A.H/B.F.Sc/B.Tech (Food Processing Technology)) is required.
Application form can be had in person or by Post from any one of the following colleges on a written request containing the name of the candidate and the course for which the application is required, along with a Demand Draft for Rs.500/- (Rs. 250/- for SC/ST candidates) towards the cost of application form including registration, drawn in favour of 'The Finance Officer, TANUVAS, Chennai- 600 051', payable at Chennai and a self addressed envelope of size 37.5 cm x 28 cm with stamps worth Rs.40/- affixed (if required by Post only). SC/ST applicants should write the name of the community in their written request, to avail the concession on the cost of application forms,

Demand Draft dated prior to 04-05-2009 will not be accepted. Application forms will be issued on all working days up to 14-06-2009 between 10 am and 5.45 pm and between 10 am and 1 pm on 15-06-2009.
