The KIIT School of Rural Management (KSRM), Bhubaneswar came into existence on 20th November 2006 as a constituent of KIIT University, Bhubaneswar. Its existing 2-year MBA (Rural Management) is designed to balance academics with experiential learning. The KSRM model creates a vibrant learning environment for students in collaboration with our 200 partner organizations with diverse portfolio of activities related to development of rural economy. The success of the programme is reflected in excellent record of 100% campus placement for all its three batches comprising of 207 students passed out so far.

Having achieved highest standards for its flagship programme of MBA (Rural Management), KSRM is now moving closer to realizing its vision to become a leading global academic institution in the field of Rural Management. Towards this end KSRM is working on its new initiative “360 Degrees of Rural Management Education” to achieve complete depth and width in providing full range of short and long-term academic programmes by 2016 to meet the growing managerial needs of all types of organizations connected with rural economy.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE:

Eligibility:

MBA (Rural Management): Graduate in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate marks (or equivalent CGPA) at graduation can apply.

Written Test Scores: The applicants must have appearing/appeared for IRMA written test.

Admission to KSRM: MBA(RM) 2013-15 based on IRMA written Test

Important instructions for the candidates:
Option 1:
- Candidates applying through Option 1 (form & pay application fees online) would be required to submit copies of their mark sheets and other supporting documents at a later stage, as will be instructed by the institution. Payment can be done through credit card/bank transfer etc., as instructed / supported at the online payment site itself.

Option 2 and 3:
- Candidates applying through Option 2 or 3 need to make a DD of Rs. 500/- drawn in favour of "KIIT School of Rural Management", payable at Bhubaneswar. The DD along with the filled in and signed application form needs to be sent to "Admissions Coordinator , KIIT School of Rural Management, Campus – 7, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar – 751024". through Registered/Speed Post/Courier, so as to reach on or before 30th November, 2012 at 5:00 PM.

- Name and Address of the candidate needs to be mentioned on the reverse of the Demand Draft.

- Candidates should retain photocopies of the DD and the application form submitted for future reference.

IRMA Written Test on :11th November, 2012
GD/PI centre: The GD/PI for all the short-listed candidates will be held at Bhubaneswar, Banglore, Mumbai & New Delhi.

Basis of selection: Academic career, performance in IRMA Written Exams and GD/PI.

Fee Structure:: The total fee for the MBA( Rural Management) programme is Rs.6.47 lakhs payable in four installments. The fee includes all expenses Hostel, Mess and including provission of Laptop to all students. No other fee is charged during the full duration of the programme.

* Note:
- Institutions notified by the Central Government under Section 3 of the UGC Act as ‘Deemed to be University' are empowered to award degrees as specified and notified under Section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956.
- It is not a pre-requisite for an institution notified as a 'Deemed to be University' to obtain the approval of the AICTE, to start any programme in technical or management education leading to an award, including degrees in disciplines covered under the AICTE Act, 1987. However, institutions notified as 'Deemed to be University' are required to ensure the maintenance of the minimum standards prescribed by the AICTE for various courses that come under the jurisdiction of the said Coundil. It is expected that the institutions notified as 'Deemed to be University’ maintain their standards of education higher than the minimum prescribed by the AICTE. "
