Courses
PhD in
Engineering
(i)
The applicant must have a Master degree in relevant branch of Engineering /
Technology with marks not below 60% or CPI 6.5.
(ii)
Applicant with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Master’s Degree in Science
/ Applied biological sciences / Computer Application or any appropriate
discipline with a minimum of 75% marks or CPI 8.0 shall only be considered.
PhD in
Management
(i)
Applicants must have Master’s Degree in Management / Technology / Engineering /
Economics / Commerce / Science / Computer Applications / Social Science with a
minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CPI 6.5.
(ii)
Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a minimum of 75% marks
or CPI 8.0 shall be considered.
(iii)
A qualified Chartered Accountant having minimum three years of professional
experience as practicing Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 60% marks at
both graduation level, as well as CA examination
PhD in Sciences,
Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS)
(i)
Applicants must have Master’s Degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of
60% Marks or CPI 6.5.
(ii)
Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Pharmacy with marks not
below 75% or CPI 8.0 shall only be considered.
PhD in
Geographic Information System (GIS) Cell
(i)
MTech or equivalent in GIS & Remote Sensing / Civil Engineering / Computer
Science and Engineering / Electronics / Information Technology / Agriculture Engineering
/ Mining Engineering with minimum marks 60% or CPI 6.5.
(ii)
MSc or equivalent degree in GIS & Remote Sensing / Applied Geology /
Geophysics / Geography / Environmental Science / Computer Science or degree in
Master of Computer Application with minimum marks 75% or CPI 8.0.
(iii)
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a minimum of 75% marks or CPI 8.0.

Eligibility for
Admission
(i)
The eligibility conditions given below are the absolute minimum. Departments
may prescribe any requirements over and above these, subject to the approval of
the Senate.
(ii)
The "specified minimum" CPI (Cumulative Performance Index) marks
referred in subsequent sections implies a minimum of 6.5 CPI / 60%. Relaxations
for SC / ST candidates will be as per Government of India norms.
(iii)
The applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology or a
Master’s degree in appropriate discipline of science or equivalent with
specified minimum CPI not below the specified minimum.
MTech (Part Time)
These
Part-time programmes are run under the School of Non-formal and Continuing
Education (SNFCE). The part-time classes are normally held in the evening on
every working day. However, their semester load requirements for course work
shall be about half of the full time course. The minimum duration of such
course shall be of three years and maximum duration of the course shall be of
five years. These courses are primarily for the professionals, working in the
Allahabad district. Admission shall be done on the basis of test and interview.
Their eligibility for admission and other academic requirements for completing
the degree will remain same as that for full time students.
MTech
(Sponsored) Candidates
The
institute may also admit sponsored candidates to full time MTech Programmes.
Following guidelines will be followed for admission to this category: These
full time students including QIP candidates usually receives financial support
from Govt. / Semi Govt. schemes/Organisations such as CSIR, AICTE, UGC, DAE,
DST, DBT, NBHM, etc. and recognized R&D organization for doing master’s
degree programme in the Institute. Candidates in service are to be released
from the organisation for full time to study at the Institute and must furnish
a sponsorship certificate from the employer.

MSc (Mathematics
& Scientific Computing):
The
applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree with minimum specified marks / CPI and
with mathematics as one of the main subject. Applicants must have a valid JAM
score above cut of
Master of Social
Work:
The
applicants must have Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum specified
marks / CPI.
Applications:
(i)
Applicants are required to submit their application through online application
system using the portal www.mnnit.ac.in/admission2013
only.
(ii)
There are two steps in online application procedure
Step 1. Download
chalan form
After
downloading the chalan, deposit the required application fee at any branch of
State Bank of India. Bank official will provide journal number, branch code and
date of transaction on the chalan and will return candidate’s copy and
Institute’s copy. Chalan will also bear an application ID.
The
application fee must be deposited to 'MNNIT Fee Account No.30981350206'.
Application
fee is Rs.1200/- for OP and OBC candidates (Rs.600/- for SC / ST) for each
programme.
Step 2. Online
filling of application form
Use
application ID written on the chalan to login.
Before
starting the online filling of application form, please make sure that you have
soft copy of your passport size photograph in JPEG (up to 30 kb) format.
After
login, follow the instructions for filling application form.
Take
print out the form, attach photocopy of all required documents and send on the
address given below:
