ADMISSION NOTICE 2013-2014

Applications are invited by Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati for admission into the following courses offered during the academic year 2013-2014.

A. Regular Programmes
I. Under-Graduate Courses:
1. Prak-Sastri / Eq.to+2 / Intermediate (with Computers as special subject) Duration: 2 years; Age:15-18 years.
Eligibility: (a) pass in SSC or its equivalent (b) Purva Madhyama (c) Sanskrit Entrance Examination.

2. Sastri / Eq.to BA (with Computer Applications / Science) Duration: 3 years; Age: 17 years minimum.
Eligibility: Pass in Prak-Sastri / Upa-Sastri / Madhyama / Uttara Madhyama / Sahitya / Intermediate or equivalent with Sanskrit.

3. Sastri Vedabhashyam / Eq. to BA; Duration: 3 years. Age: 17 years minimum.
Eligibility: Those who have completed Samhita Brahmana, Aruna and Kathaka and having knowledge of Sanskrit are eligible subject to passing of Entrance Test conducted by Vidyapeetha.

4. BA (I Elect. Sanskrit compulsory with Computer Applications); Duration: 3 years; Age 17 years minimum.
Eligibility: As specified for the Sastri course above.

5. BSc (Sastri)
Eligibility: Prak-Sastri / Intermediate or any other equivalent exam with Sanskrit and Mathematics as the subjects of study

II. Post-Graduate Courses (Choice Based Credit System)
1. Acharya: (Eq.to MA in 14 shastras); Duration 2 years; Age: 20 years minimum.
Eligibility: Pass in Sastri / any graduate course with Sanskrit as Main Subject / Language or any equivalent examination.

Subjects offered: Sahitya [UGC Special Assistance Programme] / Vyakarana / Jyotisha (Phalita, Sidhanta) / Nyaya / Mimamsa / Advaita Vedanta / Visishtadvaita Vedanta / DvaitaVedanta / Vedabhashya / Agama / Sankhya Yoga / Dharmasastra / Puranetihasa. If the applications are more than 60 for Acharya in Sahitya there will be an entrance test and those who pass the entrance test will be called for interview.

2. MA in Sanskrit (Sabdabodha Systems and Language Technology) Duration: 2 years Age: 20 years minimum. This programme is offered under the UGC's innovative programme.
Eligibility: Pass in Sastri / equivalent traditional Degree with Computer Science / Computer Applications or any graduate with Sanskrit and Computer Science / Applications from any recognized university.

3. MSc (Computer Science & Language Technology); Duration: 2 years (4 Semesters); No. of Seats: 30; Age: Minimum 21 years;
Eligibility: Any graduate with Computer Science / Computer Apploications with Sanskrit at +2 level. Course Content: Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Language and Speech Processing.

The following courses have been introduced under the Innovative programme sanctioned by UGC.

4. MA in Hindi
Eligibility: (1) Any Graduate / equivalent to Graduate with second language Hindi / optional Hindi. (2) Any Graduate without Hindi under graduate is with Rashtra Bhasha Praveena of Dhakshina Bhara Hindi Prachara Sabha, Chennai. (3) Any graduate without Hindi as subject under graduate with Vidwan of Andhra Pradesh Hindi Prachara Sabha, Hyderabad.

5. Under Innovative Programme of UGC:
P.G. Diploma in Comparative Aesthetics (Sahitya) in Global Perspective
Duration: 1 Year
No. of Seats: 15
Age: Minimum 22 years
Eligibility: Acharya (Sahitya) or equivalent Pass with 55 % Marks

6. Master in Ancient Indian Management Techniques (MAIMT):
Eligibility: Graduates from any discipline having secured a minimum of 50% marks are eligible to join in this course

2. Vidyavaridhi (PhD) in all Sastras / Sahitya / Education. A Separate notification will be issued soon for conduct of Common Entrance Test regarding admission into Vidyavaridhi (PhD) programme in different subjects offered by Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati, Shri Lal Bahadur Sastri Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, New Delhi and Rashtriya Sanskrit Samsthan in its campuses for the academic year 2012-13.
Eligible candidates may look forward for details in the Notification/website of all the above three institutions.

3.  Visishtacharya (MPhil) in Education
Eligibility: MEd or Siksha Acharya with a minimum of 55% marks and Acharya / MA (Skt.) / any equivalent PG Degree with a minimum of 55% marks (in both the degrees). The minimum marks will be 50% for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates. Proficiency in Sanskrit is a must.

B. Evening & Part-Time Programmes

IV. Career Oriented Programmes:
The University offers job-oriented Add-on courses for Sastri / BA / BSc students in A) (i) DTP in Indian Languages (ii) Web Technology (iii) Puranetihasa (iv) Vastu Sastra and (v) Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma Courses in Translation Techniques and Creative writing in Sanskrit and Regional Languages.

Application Forms:
Prescribed application forms along with prospectus can be obtained from the Vidyapeetha in person on payment of Rs.100/- through D.D. and by post on payment of Rs.150/- by way of D.D. drawn in favour of The Registrar, R.S.Vidyapeetha from any nationalised Bank payable at Tirupati (or) by downloading from the Vidyapeetha web site http://rsvidyapeetha.ac.in

All the downloaded filled in applications should be submitted along with a Demand Draft for Rs. 100/-.

The last date to receive the filled in applications for all courses is 07/06/201
For Kasmiri migrants, the last date for receipt of filled in applications is 7/06/2013

Reservation for SCs, STs, OBCs, PHC etc., will be made applicable for admission into Vidyapeetha Courses as per the existing rules of Government of India.
