Master's in Habitat Management

Master of Habitat Management (MHM) is a two year full-time post-graduate program launched by the Faculty of Management at CEPT University. The MHM program opens up new avenues for employment in Local Governments, International Development Agencies, Management Companies, Infrastructure Development and Project Management Companies, Real Estate and Asset Management Consultancies.

India is rapidly urbanizing. Its towns and cities are growing fast. Better management of Indian cities, towns and buildings is urgently required. This is a unique and innovative program focused on building high quality habitat managers. 

This program, offered by India’s foremost university focused on human habitats is open to architects, engineers, and planners, graduates in science, commerce, arts, and computer applications, etc.

The teaching programs at CEPT University focus on building professional capacities and therefore they are centered on ‘studios’ or ‘labs’.  Here, students engage with well-designed life-like problems. Coursework, seminars and research assignments, aimed at developing conceptual and analytical abilities of students, and skill-enhancing workshops support learning in studios and labs.  Students also have to enroll in travel and documentation programs and to intern in professional offices to widen their exposure. 

Eligibility Criteria

Admission to this program is open to graduates from all streams with a recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration. The applicant should have obtained at least 50 % (45% for reserved category) at the qualifying examination.

Admission Procedure

Application form and information brochure will be available from CEPT Office desk on payment of Rs.2000/- (non-refundable) in Cash or by Demand Draft in favor of “CEPT Faculty of Management” payable at Ahmedabad.

Cancellation of Admission

Closure of Admission: 9th August,2013

Date of Registration : 15th and 16th July, 2013

Failure to turn up for registration till 16.07.2013: Admissions stands cancelled and seat will be offered to the next candidate in the merit list.

Cancellation of admission before 09.08.2013:Rs. 2,000/ - Administrative charges will be deducted and balance fee will be refunded.

Cancellation after 09.08.20 13 (Closure of Admission) : No refund of fees.

Financial Assistance/Scholarships

It is the endeavor of CEPT University that no student be denied opportunity to pursue their studies for want of adequate financial resources.

Scholarships:EPT University has instituted both means-based as well as merit-cum-means Scholarship Schemes to help economically weak students provided that the students meet the merit and means criteria.

Student Aid (Tuition Fees Loan Scholarship Scheme)

This Scheme is beneficial to students opting for bank loans to fund their study at CEPT University. The University has introduced Tuition Fees Loan Scholarship Scheme, by which it will reimburse interest to the extent of 50%, of the interest paid by the student/parents during the study period. The Scheme is applicable to students whose household income is below Rs. 7.5 lakh and the students should have not received any financial help from any other source.
