ISM-JRF (PhD) ADMISSION NOTICE 2014
Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad, Jharkhand has
invited applications from Post Graduates/Graduates in Engineering and
PG/M.Phil.in Science, Humanities/Management for admission to Junior Research
Fellowship (JRF), leading to Ph.D degree in the disciplines of:-

FELLOWSHIP (for Ph.D):
The ISM Junior Research Fellowships is Rs.18000/-
for first two years and Rs.20000/- for next two years (consolidated) per month
for M.Tech/M.Phil/MBA degree holders and Rs. 16000/- for first two years and
Rs.18000/- upto three years (consolidated) per month for B.Tech/ M.Sc. Tech/
M.Sc. or equivalent degree holders. Any change in fellowship will be intimated
to the candidate. The contingency expenses will be allowed upto Rs.30,000/- per
annum with the prior approval from Guide & Head of the Department.
ELIGIBILITY:
ISM JRF is open to candidates, below the age of 30
years (35 years for women, PC, SC, ST & OBC) as on the last date of
application [14th April, 2014], who have obtained FIRST CLASS OR OGPA 7.0 and
above (In case class not mentioned) in their qualifying degree of relevant
discipline of Science / Engineering/ Management / Humanities. Physically
Challenged (PC) candidates may not be considered for field related research
areas. The medium of instruction and research paper publication / reporting will
be in English. Therefore, the scholars are required to possess adequate
knowledge of English.

Syllabus for written examination (for GATE/NET Not
Qualified candidates) can also be downloaded from the same site. The
application fee for JRF programme is Rs. 2000/- for GN/OBC candidates and
Rs.1000/- for SC/ST/PD candidates. The application fee is to be paid through
online bank challan of SBI.
