Admission to M.Tech for the year 2014

Applications have been invited by Department of
Computer Science / Optoelectronics / Future Studies, University of Kerala for
admission to following M.Tech courses of Academic Year 2014-15.
(1) M.Tech in Technology Management
(2) M.Tech Computer Science (with Specialization in Digital
Image Computing)
(3) Electronics and Communication (Optoelectronics and
Optical Communication)
Eligibility
for Admission
(1) M.Tech
in Technology Management:
B.Tech Degree or equivalent in any branch of
Engineering / Technology with at least 55% marks from any of the recognized
Universities in India.
Admissions to non-sponsored seats will be made on
the basis of valid GATE score.
Admissions to sponsored seats will be governed by
the following AICTE guidelines. The candidates should have:-
(i) Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology
with at least 55% marks from AICTE approved institutions. Preference will be
given to candidates who have qualified GATE.
(ii) A minimum two-years of full time work
experience in a registered firm / company / industry / educational and research
institution / any Government Department or Government Autonomous Organization
in the relevant field.
(iii) Less than 45 years of age as on 1st day of
the year of admission.
(2) M.Tech
Computer Science (with Specialization in Digital Image Computing):
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology
with at least 55% marks in one of the following branches: Computer Science and
Engineering / Information Technology / Electronics Engineering / Electrical
Engineering from the University of Kerala or equivalent recognized degree of a
recognized University.
OR
First Class Master’s degree in Computer Science /
Computer Application from the University of Kerala or equivalent recognized
degree of a recognized University.

Electronics and Communication (Optoelectronics and Optical Communication):
At least a second class B.E / B. Tech. or
equivalent degree with 55% marks in Electronics / Electrical and Electronics /
Electronics and Communication Engineering, Applied Electronics and
Instrumentation or M.Sc. Degree in Physics / Applied Physics / Electronic
Science or Electronics of the University of Kerala or equivalent. Minimum marks
in the qualifying examination for the SC / ST candidates are 50%.
How to apply
Application can be obtained from the concerend Head
of the Department by producing a DD for Rs. 510/- from SBT/SBI/District
Co-operative Bank drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, University of Kerala
OR a University Chalan for Rs. 500/-. The application form can also be
downloaded from www.keralauniversity.ac.in.
Request for application form may be addressed to
respective The Professor & Head of the Departments, Kariavattom,
Trivandrum-695581. A self addressed stamped envelope (for Rs.10/-) should also
be sent along with the request so as to reach the Head of the Department of
Futures Studies on
or before 09-06-2014.
The attested copies of the following documents
should be sent along with the application:-
• SSLC
• Mark lists of B.Tech degree ( all semester)
• GATE score card
• Community certificate for SC/ST reservation
• Community and Income certificate for OBC
reservation
• BPL certificate for BPL reservation
• Disability certificate from the Medical Board of
a Government Hospital for Physically Handicapped reservation
