ADMISSION NOTIFICATION FOR Ph.D. PROGRAMMES FOR THE ACADEMIC SESSION 2012-13

It is notified to all concerned that the following number of seats are available for admission into the specified Ph.D. programmes for the academic session 2012-13 in accordance with the new Ph.D. Regulation (UGC Minimum standard and procedure), 2009. Please refer the following table for different Ph.D. Programmes, respective P.G. Departments to undertake the ET & I and Pre-Ph.D. Course work (PPC) and the total number of vacancies/seats under each Ph.D. programme etc.

Desirous candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria (vide Clause- 2 of Ph.D. Regulation) are required to apply to the undersigned to appear at the Entrance Test and Interview (ET & I) for Ph.D. Registration in the prescribed Format (Appendix-I) available in the Office of the COE, NOU or by downloading the same from the University Website www.nou.nic.in  . The complete application form for ET & I (Appendix-I) along with requisite fees of Rs.1000/- (Rupees one thousand only) should be submitted to the Office of the Controller of Examinations, NOU either by the Regd. Post or by hand on or before 15.11.2012. The fees for ET & I shall have to be deposited in shape of Bank Draft, drawn in favour of the Comptroller of Finance, North Orissa University, Baripada payable at any Nationalized Bank, Baripada. The applications received earlier vide Notification No. 765 dated 29.03.2012 and No. 1797 dated 07.05.2012 shall be considered along with all fresh applications vide this Notification for the conduct of ET & I.

The last date for submission of application forms for ET & I (Appendix-I) for the Academic Session 2012-2013 is 15.11.2012.

N.B. : i) Proposed date of conduct of ET&I- 04.12.2012

ii) Tentative date of the commencement of Pre-Ph.D. Course work (PPC) -07.01.2013.

Application Form: Registration in the prescribed format available in the office of the COE, NOU or by downloading the same from the university website www.nou.nic.in

The complete application form for entrance test and interview along with requisite fees of Rs 1000/- (Rs one thousand only) should be submitted to the office of the Controller of Examinations, NOU either by the registered post or by hand on or before 15th November, 2012

The fees for entrance test and interview shall have to be deposited in shape of bank draft, drawn in favour of the Comptroller of Finance, North Orissa University, Baripada payable at any nationalized bank, Baripada

Commencement of Pre-Ph.D course work: 07th January, 2013
