Under Graduate Engineering, Medical & Dental Programmes (UniGAUGE EMeD 2015 Programmes) Candidates appearing for “Uni-GAUGE EMeD 2015" will be eligible to seek admission to bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Medical and Dental programs of the participating universities/Institutions. The list of participating Universities/Institutions will be updated regularly on www.erafoundationindia.org  (ERA Website).The respective websites of participating universities/institutions provide details of degree courses, number of seats, admission criteria, eligibility criteria, reservation if any, and the fee structure etc.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Eligibility criteria for Engineering Programmes - BE and B. Tech courses is as follows:

A. The qualifying examinations prescribed for admission for B.E. / B. Tech is second PUC or 10+2 Higher Secondary or equivalent examination recognized by State / Central Government; the last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subject, (Biology or Bio-technology instead of chemistry for BE/B-Tech and Bio Technology) or any other technical vocational courses as one of the optional subject, with English as a compulsory subject.

B. The General Merit candidates should have passed with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% in respect of SC, ST and OBC candidates) and should have passed these subjects individually. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Bio Technology or Biology or any other technical vocational courses as one of the optional subjects.

C. The candidates who are appearing for the prescribed qualifying examination and expecting the percentage of marks as at (b) are also eligible to apply.

Other Eligibility Criteria:

A. The candidate shall complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December 2015 i.e. the candidate should be born on or before 31st Dec 1998

B. Additional criteria including, number of attempts, age limit, reservations for regional, social, economic, linguistic minority, if any, will be made available by participating universities/institutions on their respective websites.

Candidates are requested to familiarise themselves with the eligibility criteria by visiting the websites of the participating universities/ institutions. C. Candidates are required to provide a declaration about their eligibility to ERA foundation while filling up the application form online. However the relevant proofs are to be submitted directly to Universities/Institutions, as required. Diploma students can also apply for “Uni-GAUGE EMeD 2015” entrance exam for admissions into BE/B-Tech courses in Member participating Universities/Institutions

2. Eligibility criteria for UG Medical and Dental courses is as follows:

A. The candidates should have qualified in second PUC or 10+2 or equivalent examination recognized by State / Central Government. The last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) with English as a compulsory subject.

B. The General Merit candidates must have passed these subjects (PCB) individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in PCB (40% in the case of SC, ST and OBC candidates of the respective State). The General Merit Candidate Must also secure not less than 50% marks (40% in the case of SC, ST and OBC candidates of respective state) in aggregate in PCB subjects in the Uni-GAUGE EMeD 2015

C. The candidates who are appearing for the prescribed qualifying examination and expecting the percentage of marks as at (b) are also eligible to apply.

Other Eligibility Criteria:

A. The candidate shall complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December 2015 i.e. the candidate should be born on or before 31st Dec 1998

B. Additional criteria including, number of attempts, age limit, reservations for regional, social, economic, linguistic minority, if any, will be made available by participating universities/institutions on their respective websites. The following candidates are not eligible for participating in UniGAUGE EMeD 2015 and hence need not apply:

A. Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination i.e. second PUC or 10+2 or equivalent prior to 2013.

B. Candidates already pursuing Medical UG course anywhere in India.

C. Candidates who were caught attempting to impersonate or found following / adopting any of the malpractices earlier including entertaining the touts and agents.

The Candidates are requested to refer the websites of the participating Universities for complete information on eligibility for admission. IV. ERA Participating Universities/Institutions www.erafoundationindia.org (ERA website) has list of participating Universities/Institutions.

Universities/Institutions will be added as and when their enrolment formalities are completed.

The details about admission procedure, courses offered number of seats for courses and other university specific information will be available on the websites of participating Universities/Institutions.

Uni-GAUGE Under Graduate Engineering, Medical and Dental– 2015 (Uni-GAUGE EMeD 2015)

Uni-GAUGE EMeD 2015 is being conducted for merit determination, for use by participating Universities/Institutions only. Uni-GAUGE EMeD 2015 test scores are valid only for admissions during the academic year 2015-2016.

The test will be for admissions into bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BE or B-Tech), Medicine (MBBS & surgery) and Dental (BDS) courses.

1. The test will be conducted in the combination of the below subjects:

A. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) – for engineering stream. The time allotted for the test would be 135 minutes (2 hrs:15 min)

B. Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) - for Medical and Dental streams. The time allotted for the test would be 135 minutes (2 hrs: 15 min)

C. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology (PCMB) - for aspirants of both streams. The time allotted for the test would be 180 minutes (3 hours)

2. The test will begin on 26/04/2015 at 10:00 AM and end at 12:15 PM for PCM or PCB and at 01:00 PM for PCMB.

3. This is an online test – i.e. computer based test.

4. Each correct answer is awarded one mark.

5. There will be no negative marks for wrong answer.

6. If there is a tie in the score, participating Member Universities will adopt methods to break tie to determine the inter-se merit. (Please refer to section XIII – ‘Result Details’).

Fees for Uni-GAUGE EMeD 2015:

For Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) – Rs. 1500/- (Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred)

For Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) - Rs. 1500/- (Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred)

For Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology (PCMB) - Rs. 2,000/- (Rupees Two Thousand)

This fee is non-refundable.

On line Registration and Application To register for Uni-GAUGE EMeD 2015, please refer to ERA website (www.erafoundationindia.org).  This has a registration form along with suitable instructions.

On Registration the applicant will be provided with Login ID and Password.

The application process requires the candidate to complete the prescribed application form and submit it along with relevant documents and prescribed fees. ERA website (www.erafoundationindia.org ) has suitable forms, a facility to upload and download documents, and to pay fees. It will also have suitable instructions.
