Applications have been invited by Shobhit
University, NH-58, Modipuram, Meerut - 250 110 for admission to full-time /
part- time Ph.D. program commencing on April 20, 2015 in the following
Departments:
Agri-Informatics, Agriculture, Biomedical
Engineering, Bioinformatics, Biological Engineering, Computer Science &
Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Environmental
Science, Economics, Law, Management, Mathematics, Microbiology, Pharmaceutical
Science & Technology, Physics, Statistics.
Minimum Eligibility Criteria:
A candidate seeking registration for the Ph.D.
program shall possess, normally, the following qualifications:
1) Master's degree with at least 55% marks in the
appropriate field of Engineering/ Technology/ Pharmacy/ Management/
Architecture of a University or its equivalent.
2) Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum
of 75% marks in aggregate in relevant field of Engineering / Technology /
Architecture of a University or its equivalent, with at least five years of
experience in Public Sector Undertaking / Research and Development
Organizations / Private Industries / Service Sectors / Educational Institutions
/ any other State and Central Government Organizations.
3) Basic & Applied Sciences and others:
Master?s degree or its equivalent, with at least 55% marks in the relevant
field of Science/ Humanities etc.
4) However, an applicant having professional
qualifications such as Associate Member of Institution of Engineers (India) /
Aeronautical Society of India or equivalent may be considered for admission to
the Ph.D. program only after he/she completes the M.E. / M.Tech program of any
recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks at Master?s level (55% in
case of Full-Time Sponsored candidates with a minimum of three years
professional experience).
5) Candidates must have adequate proficiency in
written and spoken English. Foreign nationals, excluding ex-students and
faculty/staff members of NICE Society Institutions/ Shobhit University,
possessing any of the qualification listed 1, 2, 3 above shall be required to
clear TOEFL or any other equivalent examination prescribed by the Research
Council of the University from time to time to become eligible for admission to
the Ph.D. program.
How to Apply:
To apply for the Ph.D. programme of the University,
eligible candidates may apply online using credit/debit card for payment or
download and print the application form available on website
1) Send the completed form along with one recent
colour photograph and photocopies of all marksheets and certificates
2) Crossed Demand Draft for Rs. 2,100/-
non-refundable in favor of Shobhit
University payable at Meerut / Shobhit University payable at Gangoh.
3) Send in a A4 size envelope by Speed post /
reliable courier (means by which sender may track its movement on internet) to
the Central Coordinator, Ph.D. Admissions, at Shobhit University Tower,
7-Institutional Area, Mayur Vihar Phase-II, Pocket B, Delhi 110091.
4) Write Application for Ph.D. March 2015 on the
envelope.
