Training Programme for Women Scientists on Geomatics: Technology and Applications



Department of Science and Technology (DST), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India has sponsored Four (4) training programmes (in a calendar year) on ‘Geomatics: Technology and Applications’ which is being organized by the Centre for Geospatial Science, Technology and Space Research, CEPT University, Ahmedabad. The 4th training of this series is scheduled on October 21-26, 2013. The major objective is to impart hands on training to the women scientists in the field of Remote Sensing, Geographical Information System, Global Positioning System and Data Base Management System. This is open for all Women Scientists Scheme awardees of Department of Science and Technology, Research Scholars/ Research Associates/ Faculty Members of Universities/Colleges and professionals from Central and State Government Organizations, NGOs and other Institutions. There will be no fee for the Training. Expenses on travel, boarding and lodging will be borne by the organizers as per the University Rules. Interested women scientists may download the application form from the website www.dst.gov.in  and www.cept.ac.in which may also be obtained by sending a request to cept.geomatics@gmail.com.

Completed applications form duly signed by the head of the institute should reach to the Prof. (Dr.) Anjana Vyas, Course Coordinator, Centre for Geospatial Science, Technology and Space Research, CEPT University, K L Campus, University Road, Navragpura, Ahmedabad-380009 before September 25, 2013.
