ADMISSION NOTICE
POST DIPLOMA IN THERMAL POWER
PLANT ENGINEERING (2013-14, Batch-II)
About the Course :
This
course is of one year duration (2 semesters) and covers aspects of operation
& Maintenance of Thermal Power Plants and includes 2 Simulator Training at
NPT1 Faridabad/NPTI Nagpur. Formal caching shall be held at the Regional
Institute of NPT1. located at Dugapur (West Bengal). On-job training/plant
visits shall be conducted at the nearby Power Stations.
Eligibility:
Three
years Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical/ Instrumentation a recognized
technical board of the state/ Central Govt, with minimum 60% marks in aggregate.
Graduate engineers are not eligible.
Selection Procedure:
As per
Merit (% of marks in Diploma) and subsequent counselling.
Age Limit:
27 years
as on 01.10.2013 No age limit for sponsored candidates
Total Seats: 40
(forty) –provisional. Reservation for SC/ST/ OBC/ Physically challenged and
other categories is applicable as per Govt, of India is for non sponsored
candidates. 5 seats are reserved for candidates from Power utilities having
more than one year experience.
Placement:
NPTI(ER)
does not give any guarantee for placement. The course is advised as the value
addition program.
How to Apply:
Application
are to be filled on-Line with Demand Draft (DD for prescribed Registration fees
of Rs. 800/- in favour of NPTI (ER) payable at Durgapur, must be ready at the
time of on line registration). The other details are available on our Web Site: http://www.nptidurgapur.com/Each
applicant will be given a unique ID on successful registration at site. This ID
must be preserved for future reference. On registration, the hard copy along
with testimonials (refer website) and Demand draft should be sent to the
Director/HOI, National Power Training Institute (ER), City Centre. Durgapur-713216,
West Bengal along with two copies of latest passport size photograph, one with
application form and other stapled with application form (with Name and ID
written on back side) latest
by 28-10-2013. No application will be received or considered without requisite attachments
and after 28.10.13.
This Institute will not responsible for postal delay. The envelope must be superscribed
"Application for admission in PDC-2013-I4. Batch-II”.
FEES:
For non
sponsored candidates Rs. 1.20.000/- + Service Tax @I2.36% (in two installments)
. For sponsored candidates Rs. 1.70,000/- + Service Tax @12.36% payable at the
time of admission. Transport charges Rs. 3000.'- + Service Tan as applicable
for visits to power stations and industries arc payable at the time of
admission. (Traveling expenses arc to be borne by the participants for
Simulator Training). Security deposit Rs. 2500/- (refundable)

Lodging/Boarding:
Hostel rent of Rs. 21,600/- per annum. Limited accommodation in hostel is
available on first come first serve basis. Separate hostel facility for girls
is available. Food is available on chargeable basis at Canteen attached with
hostel.
There
is no fee concession for any category of candidates.
