NOTICE
Why should you
join
? Power Sector is a continuous expanding sector. The amendments in the Indian
Electricity Act, have opened private sector participation in the Transmission
& Distribution of Power. It has further created a large demand for the
trained manpower in Electrical Utilities.
The
main objective of the course is to create a technically skilled trained
manpower readily available for recruitment to the power companies in the areas
of Transmission & Distribution of Electrical Power. On successful
completion of this course , the Graduate Engineers will find immense opportunities
and preference in employment with various companies engaged in T&D of
Power.
About the
Course:
This is a job oriented unique course which covers complete operation and
maintenance of Power Transmission & Distribution Systems, as per the guideline
of CEA regulations 2010 for Transmission & Distribution of power.
Placement: NPTI does not
provide any guarantee for Placement . However, through close association with
power utilities, NPTI students gets ample opportunities in placement
activities. In recent time, NPTI – NER trained engineers have been selected /
readily placed in companies of national and international repute.
Eligibility: Bachelor of E
ngineering or equivalent in “Electrical” or “Electrical & Electronics” or “
Power Engineering”
Age Limit: Maximum age
limit as on 01.11.2013 is 27 yrs. No age limit for sponsored candidates.
Selection
Criteria for Admission: Percentage of marks obtained in B.E. or e q u i v a
l e n t examination as per University norms.(Preferably 60% and above ).
No.
of Seats: 60 (Sixty only). Few seats are reserved for sponsored category.
Reservation for SC, ST, OBC (non- creamy layer) & PH will be as per Govt.
norms in the non- sponsored category. In case seats are falling vacant in
sponsored category, same will be filled by non-sponsored candidate.
Fees:
1)
1,30,000/-* ( in two equal installments) for nonsponsored candidates
2)
1,65,000/-* (in one installment ) for sponsored

Tax@12.36% will be applicable extra.
Additional Fees:
1.Caution
money . 2000/- (Refundable)
2.Conveyance
& Internet charges 2226/- (one time only). Placement charge 15,000/- (to be
paid after placement)Service Tax@12.36% will be applicable extra in all cases
except caution deposit.
Lodging : Facilities
available @ 2400/- per month per student on twin sharing basis excluding food
charges(which is around 2600/-pm).
Hostel
rent to be paid at a time for six months at the time of admission.
Sponsored
Candidates:
Candidates sponsored by their employer and fulfilling the following
requirements will be admitted directly. They will have to submit sponsorship
letter and experience certificate, Photostat copies of appointment letter, last
12 months salary slips with bank manager’s statement supporting the credit of
salary.

Short-listed candidates will be informed through e-mail /phone / letter.
The 1st installment ( 91,660/- inclusive of all for non-sopnsored candidate) in
the form of DD should be paid at the time of admission. The detailed fees
