Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) Admission Notice 2014-2015

IIM Raipur’s doctoral programme aims to admit individuals with exceptional academic background, strong motivation and discipline, and potential to become excellent researchers at international level. It is expected that research scholars will come from a variety of disciplines ranging from social sciences and humanities to physical sciences and engineering. Applicants are evaluated on their past academic achievements, motivation and preparation for the programme, letters of recommendation, scores on standard tests, and a personal interview with the faculty.


Qualifications
Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications to apply for IIM Raipur’s doctoral programme:
Master’s degree in any discipline, with at least 55 % marks or equivalent grade point average.
Or
Professional qualifications like CA, ICWA or CS with at least 55 % marks or equivalent grade point average.
Or
Five year/four year Integrated Master’s degree programme in any discipline, with at least 55 % marks, obtained after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.
Or
4 years/8 semester bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech.) with at least 60 % marks or equivalent grade point average

Those in their final year of Masters or Bachelor’s degree (B.E /B. Tech) in any discipline can also apply. Such candidates have to complete the requirements for the course before the specified date and produce the original certificates/mark sheets within stipulated time.


CAT/GATE/JRF/GMAT/GRE Score

Candidates who have appeared/are appearing for the CAT/GRE/GMAT/GATE/UGC-JRF (two years from the date of the standard test and should be valid on the deadline of submission of the application form) will be shortlisted on the basis of the details in the application form and the scores of tests as detailed below. Only the shortlisted candidates will then be called for interviews on 4th & 5th April, 2014 at IIM Raipur Campus.

a. Business Policy & Strategy       : CAT/GRE/GMAT/GATE/UGC-JRF (in relevant discipline)
b. Economics & Business Environment   : CAT/GRE/GMAT/GATE/UGC-JRF (in relevant discipline)
c. Finance and Accounting            : CAT/GRE/GMAT/GATE/UGC-JRF (in relevant discipline)
d. Information Technology & System      : CAT/GRE/GMAT/GATE/UGC-JRF (in relevant discipline)
e. Marketing      : CAT/GRE/GMAT/GATE/UGC-JRF (in relevant discipline)
f. Operations Management         : CAT/GRE/GMAT/GATE/UGC-JRF (in relevant discipline)
g. Organizational Behaviour and HRM     : CAT/GRE/GMAT/GATE/UGC-JRF (in relevant discipline)
Candidates residing outside India could choose to take any of the above tests (depending on the area to which they are applying) or appear for GMAT. The doctoral programme accepts test scores that have been taken in the last two years.

Candidates with PGP from IIMs are exempted from above mentioned tests. However, the candidates must have completed PGP in last 10 years with a minimum grade point equivalent to 6.5 out of 10 scale, with no Fs & not more than two Ds in the 1st year of PGP.

Note: Once a candidate takes admission in a given area, s/he will have to pursue the doctoral work in that area.



Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) : Admissions Process
 Admission Process
Application form for admission to FPM can be downloaded from the IIM Raipur website. The completed application received by the Admission Office will be compiled and submitted to the Admission Committee for the screening of application. Admission committee will then evaluate the applications that have been submitted, and invite a select group of candidates for personal interviews.

The completed application for admission to the doctoral programme shall include the following:
i. FPM application form.
ii. Copy of Test Score
iii. Supporting Documents
iv. Application fee
v. Reservation


i. FPM application form
The application form can be downloaded from IIM Raipur Website www.iimraipur.ac.in.

ii. Test Scores
Candidates who have appeared/are appearing for the CAT/GMAT/GRE/GATE/UGC-JRF (two years from the date of the standard test and should be valid on the deadline of submission of the application form)

iii. Supporting Documents
The supporting documents will consist of
(a) Certified copies of School and University degrees.
(b) Certified copies of mark sheets or transcripts of grades obtained during the course of study for the above degrees. Transcripts in languages other than Hindi and English must be submitted along with certified translations.
(c) Two referees with their contact details and their respective email ids from academics who have taught the candidate or with whom the candidate has worked closely on scholarly work. However, the supervisor at work could write a reference if the candidate has been away from the university for long.

It is necessary that candidates applying for waiver must attach copies of both side of the grade sheet to ascertain the equivalence between the grading systems of other IIMs/universities/ Institutions, without which, the application for waiver will not be considered.


iv. Application fee:

Completed application form together with all relevant documents and a Demand Draft of ₹ 500 in favour of Indian Institute of Management Raipur should reach only through speed post to the Admission Office, Indian Institute of Management Raipur, GEC Campus, Sejbahar, Raipur 492 015 on or before February 14, 2014.

There is no application fee for SC/ST/NC-OBC/DAP applicants who submit an attested copy of SC/ST/NC-OBC/DAP certificate.

v. Reservation:
Reservation for eligible categories will be as per Government of India rules applicable for doctoral programme at the time of admission.
