BRIEF DETAILS OF POST GRADUATE COURSES  IN ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION

The following courses are being conducted by ICADR in collaboration with NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad: -

(I) POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION
(PROXIMATE EDUCATION):

This diploma is conducted on the distance education model.

(1)          Eligibility: A Graduate in any discipline from a recognised University.
(2)          Course Duration: 9 months
(3)          Tuition fees: Rs.12,000/-
(4)          Subjects of study:

(i) Paper-I: ADR Methods
(ii) Paper-II: Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996
(iii) Paper-III: International Commercial Arbitration
(iv) Paper-IV: Commercial Law
(v) Paper-V: Family Law

The candidates are required to submit a Project Report on a topic related to Alternative Dispute Resolution, as part of the diploma course.

(5)          Cost of Prospectus-cum-Application Form: Rs.300/-

Contact Classes will be held for three days at notified centres, viz., New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore and Hyderabad, on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday which will be intimated to the candidates in advance. Course-end written examination will be held at notified centres.
This diploma was started in the year 2005 and is being conducted on all-India basis.
(II) POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION (REGULAR COURSE):

This diploma is conducted through class room instruction by eminent Professors and subject Experts.

(1)          Eligibility: A Graduate in any discipline from a recognised University.
(2)          Course Duration: 6 months
(3)          Tuition fees: Rs.12,000/-
(4) Subjects of study:

(i) Paper-I: ADR Methods
(ii) Paper-II: Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996
(iii) Paper-III: International Commercial Arbitration
(iv) Paper-IV: Commercial Law
(v) Paper-V: Family Law

The candidates are required to submit a Project Report on a topic related to Alternative Dispute Resolution, as part of the diploma course.

(5) Cost of Prospectus-cum-Application Form: Rs.300/-
This diploma was started in the year 2000 and is being conducted at Hyderabad only. The classes are held from 9.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays to suit the convenience of Professionals, such as, Advocates, Engineers, Chartered Accountants and others.
(III) POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN FAMILY DISPUTE RESOLUTION:

(1)          Eligibility: A Graduate in any discipline from a recognised University.
(2)          Course Duration: The diploma course is for a duration of 6 months consisting of two trimesters. The classes will be conducted thrice a week on alternate days from 6.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m.
(3)          Tuition fees: Rs.6,000/-
(4)          Subjects of study:

FIRST SEMESTER
Paper I : Family and its Institutions
Paper II : Matrimonial Remedies
Paper III : Law and Prevention of Unfair Practices in Family Relations

SECOND SEMESTER
Paper IV : Family and Property Relations
Paper V : Family disputes and adjudicatory Mechanism
Paper VI : Family Counselling with Simulation Exercises

The candidates are required to submit a Project Report on a
topic related to Family Dispute Resolution, as part of the diploma course.

(5) Cost of Prospectus-cum-Application Form: Rs.300/-
This diploma was started in the year 2002 and is being conducted at Hyderabad only.
(IV) POST GRADUATE CERTIFICATE COURSE IN ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION:

(1)          Eligibility: A Graduate in any discipline from a recognised University.
(2)          Course Duration: 3 months. The classes will be conducted on Saturdays and Sundays at notified centres.
(3)          Tuition fees: Rs.8,000/-.
(4)          Subjects of study:

Paper I : Arbitration
Paper II : Conciliation
Paper III : Civil Procedures
Paper IV : Family and Labour Laws
Paper V : Practicals(Simulation Exercises)

The candidates are required to submit a Project Report on a
topic related to Alternative Dispute Resolution, as part of the Certificate Course.

(5) Cost of Prospectus-cum-Application Form: Rs.300/-

This diploma was started in the year 2002 and is being conducted at notified centres only.
