PATHOLOGY COURSE ADMISSIONS 2014
Applications are invited by Regional Cancer Centre,
Trivandrum for the following pathology courses for the year 2014.
1. Cytotechnologist Training Course
No of Seats : 4 (Four)
Qualification : MSc (MLT) with Cytology as special
subject or
BSc (MLT) with 1 year experience in Cytology* or
BSc & DMLT with 1 year experience in Cytology*
Fees : 6000/-
Duration of the course : One year
2. Cytotechnician Training Course
No of Seats : 6 (Six)
Qualification : BSc (MLT) or BSc with DMLT
Fees : 3000/-
Duration of the course : Six months
3. Advanced Certificate Course in Histotechnology
No of Seats : 4 (Four)
Qualification : BSc (MLT) or
BSc(Zoology/Botany/Lifescience) with DMLT
Fees : 6000/-
Duration of the course : One year
General
Conditions:
Age Limit:
a) Age limit will be 35 years as on 01-01-2014
b) Upper age limit will be relaxed by :
• SC/ST applicants - 6 years
• OBC applicants - 2 years
• Sponsored applicants - 10 years
Application
fee:
Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred only) for each course
Qualification:
a) Degree/PG Degree must be obtained from the
University of Kerala or from any other University recognized by the University
of Kerala
b) DMLT must be obtained from the DME Kerala or
from any other institution recognized by the DME Kerala.
Experience:
Experience in Cytology from a Cytopathology
Laboratory in Medical Colleges or laboratories which report not less than 3000
cytology cases per year or those who have passed IAC accredited Cytotechnician
course with one year experience. (Certificate of experience to be produced)

Filled in application along with self attested
copies of certificates to prove age, caste, qualification and experience, a DD
of Rs. 100/- drawn in favour of the Director, Regional Cancer Centre and
payable at Thiruvananthapuram should reach the Additional Director, Regional
Cancer Centre, Medical College P.O, Trivandrum-695011 on or before 10/02/2014.
