PG NRI Admission Notice 2014-2015
Applications are invited for admissions to the
following Post graduate Degree Programme in the University of Agricultural
Sciences, Raichur under NRI quota for the Academic year 2014-15.
Ph. D. in Agriculture
Ph. D in Agricultural Engineering
M. Sc. in Agriculture
M. Tech. in Agricultural Engineering
ELIGIBILITY
FOR ADMISSION:
a) Doctoral Degree in Agriculture/ Agricultural
Engineering:
The candidate should possess a Master's degree in
respective subject with a minimum 7.00/10.00 or an equivalent OGPA from an
University/ Institute in the same subject with course work and research at
Master?s level in which candidate seeks to specialize in Doctoral degrees.
Master Degree holders in Agricultural Marketing and Co-operation are eligible
for Agricultural Economics and Agricultural Extension Education subjects only.
Such candidates shall also enclose certificate of English language proficiency
like ELTS/ TOFEL.
b) Master's Degree in Agriculture: M. Sc. (Agri.)
The candidate should possess a Bachelors Degree in
Agriculture with OGPA of not less than 2.50/4.00 or 6.50/10.00 or an equivalent
percentage of marks. Bachelors Degree holders in Agricultural Marketing and
Co-operation are eligible for Agricultural Economics and Agricultural Extension
Education subjects only. However candidates with B. Sc. (Agri. Biotechnology)
from any Agricultural University are eligible for Masters Degree in Genetics
and Plant Breeding/ Seed Science and Technology/ Molecular Biology and
Agricultural Biotechnology and Crop Physiology.
Candidates with B. Sc. (Sericulture) from any
Agricultural University are eligible for Masters Degree in Agricultural
Economics, Agricultural Entomology, Agricultural Extension Education and
Agronomy.
For M. Sc. (Agri.) in Crop Physiology/ Genetics and
Plant Breeding/Horticulture/ Molecular Biology and Agricultural Biotechnology/ Seed
Science and Technology/ Agronomy/ Agril. Microbiology/ Agril. Entomology/ Plant
Pathology/ Soil Science and Agril. Chemistry: Candidate should possess a
Bachelors Degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture from any recognized University.
For M. Sc. (Agri.) in Agril. Economics/ Agril.
Extension Education: Candidate should possess a Bachelors Degree in
Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Agricultural Marketing and Co-operation from any
recognized Agricultural/ Horticultural University. Such candidates should also
enclose certificate of English language proficiency like ELTS/ TOFEL.
c) Masters Degree in Agricultural Engineering: M.
Tech. (Ag. Engg.)
The candidate should possess a Bachelors Degree in
Agricultural Engineering Technology with an OGPA of not less than 2.50/4.00 or
6.50/10.00 or an equivalent percentage of marks from any recognised University/
Institute
APPLICATION
AND FEE:
1) Application shall be downloaded from the
website: (www.uasraichur.edu.in )
and filled in application (soft copy) may be submitted to the Registrar UAS,
Raichur. However, a copy of the printed version shall also be invariably
submitted by post along with the education documents including health
certificate (HIV test certificate) and Demand Draft on or before 24-07-2014 to the Registrar, UAS,
Raichur- 584 104.
2) The application fee is 20 US dollars or Rs.
1000/- payable in the form of Demand Draft only drawn in favour of the
Comptroller, UAS, Raichur purchased on or after the date of this Notification,
payable at Raichur.
