Technical Trainee Programme-2014
Applications are invited for the Technical Trainee
Programme-2014 for entry-level career opportunities available at Institute for
Plasma Research (IPR) where basic plasma physics and domestic fusion program
activities are pursued.
Acceptable disciplines: Candidates can apply in one
of the following three disciplines.
Discipline - Qualifying Degree required
Physics:
MSc in Physics / Applied Physics after a BSc degree
OR an Integrated MSc, BE / BTech in Engineering Physics. Minimum of 60%
aggregate marks in the qualifying degree. MSc applicants should have Physics
and Mathematics up to BSc or at subsidiary and / or ancillary level in case of
five year integrated MSc Those having MSc (by research), MTech or PhD are not
eligible.
Mechanical:
BE / BTech / BSc-Engg. (Mechanical Engineering) or
Integrated MTech (5 years) with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or AMIE with
60% aggregate marks in each part individually.
Electrical:
BE / BTech / BSc-Engg. (Electrical Engineering or
Electrical & Electronic Engineering,) or Integrated MTech (5 years) with a
minimum of 60% aggregate marks or AMIE with 60% aggregate marks in each part
individually.
Training & Stipend:
The course is compulsorily residential and the
selected candidates will have to stay at the accommodation provided by IPR. The
training comprises of lectures, laboratory and project work. During training
period the trainee will be paid a monthly stipend of Rs. 16,000/- and a
one-time book allowance of Rs. 10,000/-.

Only those candidates who already have qualifying
degree or are going to receive their final results by 1st August 2014 need
apply.
AGE LIMIT:
26 years. Only those candidates who are born on or after 1st August 1988 need
apply. Age relaxation is admissible to SC / ST / OBC / PHP, etc. as per
Government of India Orders on the subject.
A non-refundable Application fee of Rs. 200 (Rupees
Two hundred only) in form of Demand Draft only payable at Gandhinagar in the
name of Institute for Plasma Research is chargeable for General and OBC
candidates.
Applications can be submitted online only from 2 June to 13
June 2014. Hard copy along with the Application ID obtained while
filling online application from our web page at http://www.ipr.res.in/advertisements.html
with one recent passport size photograph
duly affixed on the right hand top corner of the application along with demand
draft, copies of testimonials in support of Age, Qualification, caste, etc.
should reach the Acting Chief Admin Officer, Institute for Plasma Research at
the above address on or before 20/06/2014.
The eligible candidates will have to appear for
written test to be conducted tentatively on Sunday, 20th July 2014 in one of
the 5 centers, viz. Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkatta and Chennai for which no
Travelling Allowance (TA) will be paid.
Hall ticket for the eligible candidates will be available on
our webpage link by 4th July 2014.
The list of the shortlisted candidates for interview will be
declared tentatively on 28th July 2014.
Successful candidates will be called for personal interview
at IPR tentatively during 11 to 14 August 2014.
