Step-2 After fee payment, fill the online application. Please visit Institute Website: http://www.sctimst.ac.in  for submitting online application.

1. Direct cash payment at any branch of State Bank of India through the Pre-Acknowledgement Payment Form(PAP) generated through State Bank Collect Portal of State Bank of India

3. Pay online using any Visa/Master Debit or Credit card issued by any Bank.

STEPS FOR FEE PAYMENT:
1. Open the SB Collect web site of State Bank of India
2. Select the payment category
3. Select course- Fill applicant name, date of birth, mobile number and application fee
4. Submit payment application
5. Select the appropriate payment option
6. Click the button corresponding the choice of your payment and continue
7. If you are choosing online payment option -Note the INB reference number and print the receipt (Copy of print receipt should be attached with the application form).
8. If you are choosing other payment option - Direct cash payment in any branch of State Bank of India, please print and submit the pre acknowledgement payment form (PAP) to any SBI branch.( PAP form duly stamped by State Bank of India should be attached with the application form )

Candidates eligible for the entrance examination can access their call letter from our website.

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Fill up the Application Form on-line carefully.
2. If you are an employee of a State or Central Government or Public Sector Undertaking, route your application through your employer. You may, however, send the advance copy of your application. The application through proper channel should reach this office within seven days of the closing date for the receipt of application. The “Advance Copy” should be complete in all respects and should be accompanied by all the documents mentioned above and must reach this office before the closing date.
3. Send a hard copy of application along with the copies of necessary documents well in time before the closing date.
4. Applications received after the closing date is liable to be rejected.
5. Attach all documents to your application form with a strong thread.
6. No intimation will be sent to candidates not called for Entrance Examination or not selected and no correspondence on this subject will be entertained.
7. The rules are subject to change in accordance with decisions of the Institute taken from time to time

5. Copies of attempt certificates of MBBS/MD/MS/DNB Examinations issued by University/National Board of Examinations, as applicable.

8. Candidate should furnish a certificate from the respective colleges to the effect that the Department/Course is recognized by MCI. (applicable only for post doctoral courses)

Note: Academic certificates should be submitted on or before 31-10-2014,otherwise candidates will not be called for Entrance Examination. In case of PDF programmes, those who have not completed DM & MCh courses at the time of interview may produce the original certificates at the time of joining.

IIT Gandhinagar is looking for bright and dedicated young scholars interested in research to join us as Ph.D. scholars. Currently, we offer Ph.D. programmes in Biological Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Cognitive Science, Computer Science and Engineering, Earth Sciences, Electrical Engineering, History, Language & Literature, Materials Science and Engineering, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Social Epidemiology and Sociology. Prospective students satisfying the eligibility criteria are encouraged to acquaint themselves with the research areas of our faculty members for suitable match of interest. IIT Gandhinagar also offers a Start Early Ph.D. Fellowship with additional financial support for exceptionally qualified undergraduate students from select colleges wishing to start on a direct Ph.D. programme after B.Tech.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria
At least 55% marks or 5.5 CPI marks in M.A./M.Sc./B.Tech./M.Tech. or equivalent degree in appropriate branches. Above mentioned eligibility criteria is minimum at Institute level. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PD categories would be eligible for relaxations, as pernorms, in the selection criteria.

Credits Requirement
IIT Gandhinagar strongly believes in value addition through course work. There is a significant number of course work a Ph.D. student needs to do depending on his/her background. Ph.D. students entering the programme will have to take total credits ranging from 88 through 120, out of which coursework credits (courses worth 4 credits each) can range anywhere between 32 through 64 credits, depending upon the previous degree attained by the student. Out of the minimum credits through coursework, a minimum of 12 credits are required to be completed through project-based courses.
