Rules of Admission

Admission will be made in accordance with the admission policy of BLDE University which has been framed as per the guidelines of MCI and UGC.

15% of the total seats are reserved for the NRI/PIO/Foreign and 5% of the total seats are reserved for Institutional Preference / In-Service and others.

Eligibility: Only those candidates who satisfy or likely to satisfy the following relevant eligibility requirements for admission to Post Graduate courses will be considered eligible to appear for the BLDEU-PGET-2010 and subsequently for admission to the course.

Eligibility requirements to appear for BLDEU-PGET-2010 and admission to the medical Post

Graduate Diploma and Degree Courses are:-

1. The candidates seeking admission to these courses should have passed MBBS from the college recognized by Medical Council of India.
2.As specified by Medical Council of India, the minimum percentage of marks in the entrance test for eligibility for admission to Post Graduate courses shall be:
a) General category…………………… 50 percent
b) SC/ ST/ OBC (OBC as declared by Government of Karnataka from time to time) Category 40 percent
c) Candidates with 40 to 70% locomotor disability of lower limbs (as certified by competent issuing authority) category 45 percent.
3.The candidate should have completed the compulsory rotating internship / would be completing by 30th April 2010.
4.Foreign / PIO / NRI students need not appear for BLDEU-PGET-2010. Their admission will be based on qualifying examination marks.

Test Admission Ticket (TAT)

Issue of TAT Cards:
1. TAT Cards for BLDEU-PGET-2010 will be dispatched by speed post to Candidates. The TAT Card will indicate the Roll Number & Examination Centre allotted to the candidate with its address.
2. The candidate must not mutilate this TAT Card or change any entry, made therein after the university authorities have authenticated it.
3. In case a candidate does not receive the TAT Card (Hall Ticket) by 11th January 2010, he/she should contact University office (08352-262770-Extn-2328) immediately. Arrangement will be made for the issue of duplicate TAT Cards at the 'Help Desk' established on previous day (i.e. 16th January 2010) at respective examination centres. In such a situation, candidate should bring two identical photographs similar to the one affixed on application form along with his / her proof of submission / identity proof / acknowledgement of application sent or school / college identity card. In case no proof is submitted, duplicate TAT card will not be issued. BLDEU-PGET-2010
 

Test Scheme:

BLDEU-PGET-2010 will have the following pattern.

There will be only one test which will have 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQ).

The time allotted for the test shall be 180 minutes. The test will begin at 10:00am and end at 1:00pm

Candidates are required to mark their answers in an OMR (Optical Mark Reader) Answer Sheet.

Each correct answer is awarded with one mark.

There will be no negative marking.

No mark/s will be awarded for multiple marking (marking multiple responses) for any question.

Instructions to the Candidates for taking Test
Report 60 minutes before the commencement of the test (at 9:00am)
Use ball point pen with black ink to mark on the OMR sheet.
Test commences at 10:00am

Candidates reporting after 10.15 am will not permitted to appear for the test.

Answer sheet: All answers need to be registered on an Optical Mark Reader (OMR) sheet, which is machine read and evaluated. Candidates must use only black ballpoint pen for marking their answers on the OMR sheet. Use of erasers or whiteners is not permitted.
OMR answer sheets will be supplied only at the examination hall. After the test is over, the answer sheet should be submitted back to the invigilator, before leaving the room.
Please note that the candidates must sign on attendance sheet and OMR answer sheets in the presence of the invigilator, after the invigilator has verified their TAT.
Candidates are also required to write their name, question booklet number, Version Code, TAT number only in the space provided in their OMR answer sheet. The OMR answer sheet is machine assessed and therefore it should be handled with care. If there is any doubt, please contact the test invigilator immediately.
The BLDEU-PGET-2010 test administration is timed. The test session is designed to be completed within 180 minutes as indicated in this brochure and no compromise will be made on the set time limit. The Chief Superintendent of the test centre is the official timekeeper. Candidates (Test takers) will not be permitted to continue the test beyond the established time limit.
Photography, Video shooting and finger print scanning(biometrics)shall be done during the test and counseling.
Candidates are not allowed to go out of the room temporarily for any reason during the test duration.

Instructions to candidates for filling the application form.

1. Ensure that a)The Demand Draft for Rs 3,000/- is drawn in favour of The Registrar, BLDE University, Bijapur-586103 b) Ensure that the DD is payable at Bijapur, Karnataka- PIN-586103 State. Please note that this fee is non-refundable, even if the application is rejected for any reasons (because of incomplete information or ineligibility of the candidate) or if the candidate does not appear for the Entrance Test.
2. Data Entry to generate the application form has to be made properly and completely, as this data in the application form will be the University data base and record.
3. The completed application form must have the signature of the candidate, left thumb impression, signature of candidate's parent/guardian and authentication by the Gazetted Officer / Head of the Institute where the candidate has completed his/her MBBS degree/                     
4. Do not send any ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS along with the application form.
5. Affix your recent (not older than six months) color photograph in the space provided. Photographs should be of passport size, sharp and clear. Person should not wear Goggle, Cap etc which will mask identity. Application with smudged / tampered or hazy photograph will be rejected Photograph should not be stapled or pinned on the application form. Signature and attestation is not required on the photograph. Incomplete / incorrect applications are liable to be rejected without prior notice to the candidate.
6. Any application received after the last date shall not be accepted; whatever may be the cause.

One-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Sustainable Rural Development (PGDSRD)

in the distance mode for 2009-2010

National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD) under the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India and the Centre for Distance Education of the University of Hyderabad (UoH), have jointly launched the One-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Sustainable Rural Development (PGDSRD) in the distance mode for 2009-10.

The PG Diploma will be jointly awarded by the NIRD and University of Hyderabad.

The Programme will be offered in two semesters and will have 35 credits. The 1st Semester will have 15 credits and the 2nd, 20 credits. One credit is equivalent to 30 hours of study. The Programme will have four courses and project in the 1st Semester and three courses and project in the 2nd Semester.

Learning resources include printed self-instructional material, audio-visual cassettes and educational CDs/VCDs, web-based on-line learning resources (include videographed lectures), Networked video conferencing at selected centres, Two compulsory contact sessions of 6-7 days each, one in 1st Semester and another in 2nd Semester to be conducted at NIRD, UoH, Hyderabad, NERC of NIRD, Guwahati, ERC of NIRD, Patna and in select centres in the each state/region of the country.

The minimum qualification for admission to the programme is graduation in any discipline from a recognised university. Those who are in the final year and expect to complete all the requirements of Graduation before enrolment date are also eligible.  Apart from fresh graduates, development personnel working in Rural Development, Agriculture (and allied sectors) and Education sectors, Non-Governmental Organisations/Cooperatives/Finance and Banking organisations, Corporate sector under corporate social responsibility, Faculty of various development disciplines, Rural Development, Economics, Political Science, Gender studies, Management, Agriculture and other allied discipline from Universities, Colleges, Training Institutions like State Institutes of Rural Development (SIRD), Extension Training Institutes (ETIs), Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVKs), Agriculture Education, Research and Training Institutions can also join the course. The maximum period of the course is three years.

Admitted students will have to deposit Rs 17,000/-(Rs 15,000/- for SC /ST /PH) in two equal instalments at the commencement of each semester. Sponsoring Organisations have to deposit full fee at the time of registration of their candidate(s).

National Institute of Social Defence, has notified the admission to the Six- Month full-time, Certificate Course in Geriatric Care conducted at New Delhi, Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Agartala, Bangalore, Kunnamkulam/Cochin, Coimbatore, under Project, National Initiative on Care for Elderly (NICE) of the Institute, during November, 2009 to June, 2010.

The Course aims to develop a cadre of skilled caregivers and Supervisory level personnel to meet the demand for providing skill based, field oriented, trained personnel in Age Care in NGO Sector (National as well as International), Government/Corporate Sectors, Academic Institutions, etc. The course covers subjects like Social Gerontology, Basic Geriatrics, Applied Geriatrics and Geriatric Nursing.

Eligibility is High School/Matriculation or any other Examination equivalent to Secondary Examination after a period of 10 years of study. Preference will be given to those working as Old Age Care Givers, Health Workers, Counsellors, Social Workers, Home Care Workers, Nursing Assistant or in Age Care Agencies/Organizations.

Applicant should have completed 18 years as on October 1, 2009 and should not be more than 45 years as on October 1, 2009.

There are 30 seats for each Centre. Fifteen percent seats are reserved for SC, 7.5 % for ST, 27% for the OBC candidates and 3 % for the following categories of disabled who will be able to take up the job of Care Givers
(i) Persons with hearing impairment or low vision fitted with appropriate aids/assistive devices to enable them to function with normal hearing, vision, speech etc.
(ii) Persons with minor disability in one of the lower or upper limb that does not restrict their job of care giving if fitted with appropriate appliances or even without it.

There is no Course Fee.

The course is purely non-residential and the selected candidates will have to make their own arrangements for board & lodging.

Selection will be made through a Common Aptitude Test (CAT) to be held at New Delhi, Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Agartala, Bangalore, Cochin and Coimbatore on Sunday, January 10, 2010, followed by Group Discussion and Interview.

PG Diploma in Management (PGDM)

Eligibility:     

The minimum requirement for admission to the Programme is: A three-year Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline from a recognized University. Candidates who expect to complete the final part of their degree examinations by June 15, 2010, may also apply. Offers of admission to such candidates, if made, will be provisional and will be automatically cancelled in the event of their failing to complete all the requirements for obtaining the degree before June 15.

Admission Test

Applicants are required to take the Admission Test (XAT) to be conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur, on 3rd January, 2010. For this, applicants have to log on to www.xlri.edu and apply online for XAT. Registering for XAT is a prerequisite for applying to XIMB.

XIMB Application

Applicants have to also apply (online) separately for XIMB programme at: www.ximb.ac.in upon successfully filling the online application form the payment advice form can be downloaded. The applicant must take a printout of the same payment advice form and mail it to the Admissions Office, Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar-751013, accompanied by the application fee (non-refundable) in one of the following ways:

Original Bank remittance slip, after depositing Rs.1000/- (in cash) at any State Bank of India core branch in the Current A/c No. 30463061882 of Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar; OR

Original Bank remittance slip, after depositing Rs.1000/- (in cash) at any branch of AXIS Bank into the S/B Account No. 024010100084039 of Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar; OR

A Demand Draft for Rs.1000/- made out in favour of Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar.

On receipt of the DD or Bank remittance slip/counterfoil for the required amount and the payment advice form, the Bulletin 2010 will be mailed to the applicant. The last date for applying online is December 5, 2009. and for despatching the application fee it is December 15, 2009.

It may be noted that besides registering for XAT one has to apply (online) separately to XIM, Bhubaneswar.

Online registration will be accepted subject to receipt of the application fee by XIMB. Upon receipt of the payment the eligible applicants will be intimated by e-mail about the acceptance of their applications.

Selection Process

The institute will decide the section wise as well as total cut-off marks, which will be used for short listing candidates to be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview. GD & PI will held at Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai. Candidates will have to meet their own travel expenses for appearing in the GD & PI. The final selection will be on the candidate's performance in the XAT as well as Group Discussion and Personal Interview (which factors in the past academic record and relevant work experience). The selected candidates will be informed by mail by around first week of April 2010.

Admission

The programme will begin by the middle of June 2010 for the first year students. At this time the students will be given a Manual of Policies and Regulations which will be binding on them.

Admission Procedure
Candidates are advised to follow the rules for admission to First Year Engineering degree courses as published by the Directorate of Technical Education, Jharkhand State from time to time. However some of the basic guidelines are given below. All the candidates are advised to submit their applications to the Admission Authorities notified by the Government of Jharkhand on or before the last date of application, unless specified differently elsewhere in this brochure.
Entry requirement for the First Year of Engineering
Passed the HSC (Std. XII) examination of Jharkhand State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and secured minimum 50% marks i.e. not less than 150 marks out of 300 marks (45% marks i.e. not less than 135 marks out of 300 marks for backward class category candidates from Jharkhand) in the Subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together.

For the candidate of Jharkhand State

In addition to Educational Qualification as specified in the Para "Entry Requirement", candidates are required to appear for JCECE Board and secured nonzero score to be eligible for admission for State Quota (65%) seats through Central Assessment Process (CAP).

For the candidates of Outside Jharkhand State
In addition to Educational Qualification as specified in the para "Entry Requirement", candidates from Jharkhand State as well as outside Jharkhand State are required to appear & qualify in All Indian Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE-2009) conducted by C.B.S.E., New Delhi for the Academic Year to be eligible for admission.

For the candidates wishing admission under Management Quota
Candidates from Jharkhand State as well as from outside Jharkhand State having Educational Qualification as specified in the Para "Entry Requirement" are eligible for Management Quota seats provided they have appeared for JCECE conducted by the competent Authority or conducted by agency (if any) including Association of all Pvt. colleges. However, they are required to apply separately to the Management of the respective institutes for these seats.


Bachelor in Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT)

Eligibility:

A. Age limit is 21 years (26 years for SC/ST candidates) as on 1st Oct of Running Year.

B. Candidates must have passed in all subjects in which they have appeared in Class 12 / Intermediate or equivalent examination (excluding optional subjects) with minimum 50% marks in average (45% for SC/ST).

C. Candidates must have English in Class 12 / Intermediate or equivalent examination.

D. Marks in Class 12 to be computed as average of best 5 subjects including English.


Master of Business Administrator (MBA)

Eligibility:
A. Candidates must have appeared in CAT
B. In addition, candidates should have secured Verbal Percentile Scores and Total Percentile Scores which conform to the requirements prescribed in our relevant announcements, that is, they should have secured Verbal Percentile Scores and Total Percentile Scores which are at least equal to the cut-offs given in our notifications

C. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification of any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislatures in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India/AIU. This degree must entail a minimum of three years of education (10+2+3 system) after completing higher secondary schooling (Class 12 or equivalent).

D. Candidates of B.Sc. / B.A. / B. Com. Honours must have minimum 55% marks in average (45% for SC/ST) in their Honours subject. Candidates of BBA and other graduate courses must have minimum 55% marks in average (45% for SC/ST) in graduation, marks to be computed as average of marks obtained in ALL subjects in which candidate has appeared (excluding optional subjects).

E. Candidates with qualifications acquired through correspondence or distance-learning programmes are eligible only if they acquired such qualifications as working professionals / while in employment.

F. Candidates appearing for final examinations of their Bachelor’s programme can also apply, and if selected can join the programme provisionally. At the time of the counselling they must bring a certificate in original from the Principal of their Institute certifying that.

Admission open only for Management and NRI seats, the last Date to submit application form is up to 30th November 2009
