ALL INDIA ENGINEERING, ARCHITECTURE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION AIEEE -2012
The All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE 2012) is an examination organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for admission to B.E./B.Tech and B.Arch./B. Planning courses in various national level institutes like NITs, IITs, Deemed Universities, Private, Government Funded institutions in India. It’s a national level entrance examination that was incepted in the year 2002 only. It enables students to get admission in some of the best colleges offering undergraduate degree programs in architecture and engineering courses. Colleges like 16 of the IITs and NITs accept scores of AIEEE Exam.
AIEEE Exam is conducted generally in the month of April for admission into top engineering colleges in India and the basic eligibility is a pass in 12th class. The examination is conducted on the last Sunday of April and thus those who are aspiring for AIEEE 2012 would be appearing on the same day for exam. The results would be announced around the first week of the month of June 2012 for these candidates. They would be ranked on the state as well as all- India basis and ranks would be given to them accordingly.
Students who want to take bachelor’s of engineering or technology have to appear only for paper one. However, the architecture and planning students have to appear for paper 2. Once the scores are out for AIEEE Exam, the counseling is done by the Central Counseling Board.

The minimum academic qualification for appearing in AIEEE 2012 is that the candidate must have passed in final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent referred to as the qualifying examination (see Appendix – IX). Those appearing in 10+2 (Class XII) final or equivalent examination in 2012 may also appear in AIEEE 2012 provisionally.
However, admission criteria in the concerned institution/university will be followed as prescribed by concerned university/institution and as per the guidelines & criteria prescribed by AICTE.
Subject combinations required in the qualifying examination for admission to B.E./B.Tech and B. Arch./B. Planning Courses shall be as under:

The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at All India Engineering/Architecture Entrance Examination shall be limited to 03 (three) uniformly for all the candidates in consecutive years. The candidates passed +2 exam in 2010, 2011 or appearing in +2 in 2012 are only eligible to appear in AIEEE-2012. Candidates passed +2 in 2009 or before or appearing in 2013 are not eligible to appear in AIEEE-2012.
Date of Birth: Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1987 are eligible. However, in the case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. SC, ST and PWD candidates who were born on or after October 01, 1982 are eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/University certificate only will be taken as authentic.
How To Apply:
1.Please read the instructions and procedures carefully before you start filling the form.
2.Mode of Examination: There are two mode of examination
Online Examination (Computer Based Test)
Offline Examination (Pen & Paper mode) as conducted earlier
3.Application will be made 'Online' only.
4.Application Procedure: The online submission of particulars may be made at website
www.aieee.nic.in . The candidates should supply all the required details while filling up the online form. On submission of details, a Confirmation page with Registration No. shall be generated. Candidates are required to take printout of Confirmation page and paste photographs, put left hand thumb impression, sign in the space earmarked for the purpose and write down the Residential Address. The confirmation Page is to be sent by Registered/Speed Post to CBSE (NOT BY COURIER) to " The Joint Secretary (AIEEE Unit), Central Board of Secondary Education, PS 1-2, Institutional Area, IP Extension, Patparganj, Delhi 110 092" along with original Demand Draft (if fee paid by Demand Draft) for further processing so as to reach latest by 05.01.2012 . Application received beyond this date will not be accepted. Payment can be made as follows by Credit/Debit Card or Demand Draft from any scheduled Commercial Banks

7. Payment of Fee could be made by Demand Draft or Credit/Debit Card.
Steps to be followed if fee paid through Demand Draft
If you want to remit the fee by Demand Draft, get ready before filling application form.
Demand draft which should be drawn in favour of the Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi drawn in any National Bank payable at Delhi. Write your name, address, registration no (as given on confirmation page) and course opted on the back of the demand draft.
Logon to the AIEEE website, fill the application form, note down the registration number which would be generated by system that is required for making the payment of fee.
Fill the details of Demand Draft.
Take a printout of Confirmation Page and complete as per the instruction given above.
Steps to be followed if fee paid through Credit/Debit Card
Keep the details of Credit/Debit Card (VISA/MasterCard) ready.
Logon to the AIEEE website, fill the application form, note down the registration number which would be generated by system that is required for making the payment of fee.
Make the payment through Credit/Debit Card and note down the payment receipt number, after successful payment of fee.
Take a printout of Confirmation Page and complete as per the instruction given above.
Note: Bank will charge 2% service/processing charges and service tax as applicable on transaction made by Credit/Debit card.
