GENERAL CONDITIONS:
The selection shall be made through an entrance examination to be conducted on 21st July 2013 (Sunday).  Eligible candidate may print their admit card from the same website.  No separate call letter will be sent.
The result of above examination will be available on the Institute’s website within one week of the examination.
The number of seats are  40 (forty).
Reservation will apply as per U.P. Government’s rules. Reservation will be admissible only to candidates having domicile of Uttar Pradesh. Candidates having domicile other than Uttar Pradesh will be treated as General Category candidates for all purposes.

Eligibility for Admission : (i) Nativity : Applicants should have satisfied any of the following conditions:

Candidates who have passed the Post Basic B.Sc Nursing (Regular Course) of Kerala, Calicut, Mahatma Gandhi, Cochin, Kannur University or any other University recognized by KUHS ,Kerala, Calicut, Mahatma Gandhi University, Cochin or Kannur University after acquiring the General Nursing and Midwifery Course are also eligible to apply. Candidates who have passed B.Sc Degree in Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc Nursing (Regular course) or equivalent examination from universities outside Kerala and any Deemed Universities, should produce the recognition/eligibility certificate from any of the universities in Kerala at the time of counseling.

Experience : Candidate should have completed one year of experience in any hospital with an average strength of 100 inpatients or in a School of Nursing or in a Community Health Nursing Programme or internship/Compulsory Nursing Service after registration with the Kerala Nursing Council on the date of notification of inviting application ie. on 20.06.2013 Note: [a] The experience acquired by candidates after registration from Nursing Councils outside Kerala, after getting B Sc Nursing Degree will also be counted for experience.

The period undergone by a candidate for completing the Post Basic Nursing Course will not be reckoned as work experience. The experience acquired after the completion of the General Nursing and Midwifery Course, but before acquiring the B.Sc Nursing Degree will not be counted for the required experience.

Applicants should have obtained registration with Kerala Nursing Council at the time of Counseling.

Age: The upper age limit for General candidates shall be 46 years and that for Service candidates will be 49 years as on the date of notification of inviting application. (i.e.20.06.2013)

Selection and Entrance Examination : All Candidates including Service Quota candidates shall have to appear for the Entrance Examination to be conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala at Thiruvananthapuram on 21.07.2013(Sunday) The Entrance examination will be of 3 hours duration(10.00 am – 1.00 pm) with 200 Multiple Choice Questions.

The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala will publish the rank list with all General Quota candidates who appeared in the entrance examination and have furnished the documents as per clause 8.2 of the prospectus based on their marks in the Entrance Examination. Service quota candidates have to qualify by securing 35% marks in the Entrance Examination.

Application forms: Prospectus and Online Application form will be available from 20.06.2013 to 01.07.2013, 5pm in the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in  . The Online Application procedure is common for General Quota and Service Quota candidates. Candidates seeking admission to this course can apply in the online application form provided in the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in  of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations and then remit the required fees at any State Bank of Travancore Branch using the Bank Chalan available with the print out .

Candidates residing outside Kerala State can remit the application fee by way of Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram. Application fee is Rs.1000/-for General/Service Quota candidates and Rs.500/- for SC/ST candidates. Service candidates seeking admission under General Merit Quota also should remit extra Rs.1000/- .

The application form and prospectus will not be available from the Nursing Colleges or from the office of Director of Medical Education or from the office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examination. Application fee once remitted will not be refunded on any circumstances.

Last date and time for receipt of filled-in application printout: All Candidates including Service Quota candidates seeking admission to the M.Sc Nursing Courses should take the printout of the online application ,affix their passport size photograph (same as the one uploaded to the online application for P.G. Nursing Courses-2013) in the space provided in it and get it attested by a Government Gazetted Officer and forward their completed application printout with all the required documents mentioned in clause 8.2 of the prospectus including original chalan/DD to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Housing Board Buildings, 5th Floor, Santhinagar, Thiruvananthapuram – 695 001, either by Registered post/Speed post or hand delivery so as to reach this office before 5pm on 02.07.2013 (Tuesday).

Admit Cards : Admit cards for the candidates whose Applications have been accepted will be provided online in the official website of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, www.cee.kerala.gov.in  from 10.07.2013 (Wednesday) onwards.

Candidates will not be allowed either to include any information in the application printout or to submit any certificates/documents claiming reservation or any benefits, after the submission of the application. Eligibility Criteria:
The candidates should have passed the UG Degree Examination from any UGC recognised University in the 10+2+3 stream or 11+1+3. Candidates who have a direct UG degrees without +2 qualification / Post-Graduate degrees without a UG degree are not eligible.

Applications are invited for admission to the following courses of the university for July-2013 session. This university offers Bachelor Degree with the following Honours (Elective) subjects.

1. B.A. Honours/Elective in Bengali, English, History, Economics, Political Science, Public Administration and Sociology.
2. B.Com. Honours /Elective
3. B.Sc. Honours/ Elective in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology and Geography.
Eligibility: Passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination. Those who have passed BPP from NSOU or other recognized University are eligible to apply only for 1 & 2. Details are available in the admission website.
Duration: Minimum 3 years, maximum 6 years.
Course Fee: 1500/- per annum for B.A. and B.Com. 2200/- per annum for B.Sc. (Candidates opting for lab-based subsidiary papers in science should pay 2500/- as course fee in place of 2200/-).
Besides course fee, an amount of 330/- ( 100/- for Registration, 100/- for Identity cum Registration Card and 130/- as Annual Development fee) is to be paid at the time of admission to each course. Annul
Development fee of 130/- is to be paid in subsequent years i.e.at the time of renewal in the 2nd year nd 3rd year along with course fee.
In addition to the fees payable to University, each students will be required to pay an amount of 35/- extra as collection charge payable to the respective branches of Allahabad Bank.

Steps to be followed are as stated in the following:
Step (i) The applicant need to fill-up and submit on-line, the application form and take print out of the filled in application form & three-part pay-in-slip from our admission website www.wbnsouadmissions.com

Step (ii) The applicant needs to attach necessary documents with the filled-in computer generated application form and then is required to report to the Study Centre, of his/her choice during its working hours to have it checked and verified by the coordinator concerned.
Step (iii) The applicant then needs to visit any branch of Allahabad Bank during banking hours to deposit his/her admission and application fees using the pre-printed challan collected at the time of on-line submission and stamped by the co-ordinator on verification. After due payment he/she must obtain from the bank two copies of Bank Challans, one copy for his/her own record and one copy for the University.

Step (iv) Then he/she needs to submit within stipulated date the computer generated application form,
necessary documents, photograph and university copy of the challan obtained from the bank to the Study Centre. He/she will collect a copy of the University prospectus from the study centre. The prospectus contains a perforated enrolment form which is to be filled up by the applicant. This is required for generation of enrolment certificate. Along with the aforesaid documents, the applicant may like to carry a photocopy of his/her computer generated admission form. After submitting all the documents to the Study Centre he/she may like to have a photocopy of the computer generated application form signed and stamped by the person attending him/her in the Study Centre. This signed and stamped copy he/she may preserve as a proof of submission.
