Department of Management Studies, NIT Silchar has invited applications for admission to full time MBA programme of year 2015-17 in the following specialisations:

MARKETING
FINANCE
HUMAN RESOURCE

Eligibility for Admission:
Bachelor's degree in Science/Humanities/Technology or equivalent in an appropriate area, with at least 50% marks or 5.5 in CPI/CGPA for MBA programme.
A relaxation of 5% or 0.5 in CGPA/CPI on a 10 point scale may be extended to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category.
A valid CAT/MAT/CMAT score (i.e. tests held from November, 2014 onwards) with minimum cut-off 40 percentile for CAT/MAT/CMAT.
Students appearing at their final year graduation examination may also apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be admitted provisionally, on the condition that they complete all requirements for the qualifying degree with minimum marks stipulated above, before the commencement of the programme and produce provisional certificate of completion within 15th September 2015, failing which their admission will stand cancelled.
The aspirants shall be ranked based on their performance in CAT/MAT/CMAT, Group Discussion and Personal Interview to be conducted as a part of selection procedure for admission.
Department may specify additional requirement over and above these, minimum requirements.

Selection Process:
The selection will be based on score obtain in CAT/MAT/CMAT and creditable performance in Group Discussion and Personal Interview to be held at NIT Silchar campus.

How to apply:
1. Interested candidates satisfying the eligibility criteria are required to submit their application in the prescribed format only. The prescribed format of application can be downloaded from the institute's website (www.nits.ac.in).
2. Applicants are advised to go through the Application Form thoroughly and attach all the required documents, DD, certificates etc. as indicated therein.
3. Applicants are required to send the duly filled application form along with self attested copies of all testimonials and a DD of Rs 500/-for General/OBC and Rs 300/- for SC/ST in favor of the Director, NIT Silchar, payable at State Bank of India, NIT Silchar Branch (Branch Code: 7061).

ELIGIBILITY
Minimum Eligibility Criteria:
For admission to 1st Year Degree courses in Pharmacy BAMS and BHMS.
Pharmacy:
Passed or appearing in 2015, 10+2 examination of CHSE, Odisha or equivalent with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects from Mathematics / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational Subject. The candidate should have passed individual subject and must have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together.
There is no age limit to appear at OJEE-2015 for admission into Pharmacy courses.

Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) and Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Passed in 10+2 Science or appearing in 2015 examination of CHSE, Odisha or equivalent, with Physics, Chemistry & Biology (Botany and Zoology) with at least 50% marks in aggregate (Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together) for general category candidates and 40% marks in aggregate for SC/ ST candidates.
AGE: The lower age shall be 17 years as on December 31, 2015. The upper age shall be 25 years as on December 31, 2015. The upper age limit may be relaxed by five years for SC/ST candidates. The candidates have to submit H.S.C. or equivalent certificate in support of age during certificate verification at the time of counseling. {Candidate must born on or between (a) 01.01.91 to 01.01.99 (Other Category) (b) 01.01.86 to 01.01.99 (SC/ST Category)}

For admission to Lateral Entry
For admission into 2nd year Degree courses in Engineering/Technology courses under Lateral Entry for Diploma holders:
A. Passed or appearing in 2015, in three year diploma examination (two year in case of Lateral entry Diploma) in Engineering from State Council of Technical Education and Training (SCTE&VT), Odisha or from an AICTE approved Institute / from a recognized University as defined by UGC with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology.
B. The native of Odisha as well as the outside state candidates who have prosecuted their study for the qualifying examination in an Institute in Odisha having approval from the competent authority are eligible for admission under Lateral Entry. But, separate merit list shall be drawn for such outside state candidates and they will be allowed for admission in the remaining vacant seats, if any, after the state merit list is fully exhausted through centralized counseling conducted by the JEE committee. Results of final diploma examination must be available on the date of document verification during counselling.

For admission into 2nd year Degree courses in Pharmacy courses under Lateral Entry for Diploma holders:
A. Passed or appearing in 2015 in diploma examination in two years diploma course after XII standard in Pharmacy with minimum 45% (40% in case of candidate belong to SC / ST category) of marks in aggregate from Odisha State Board of Pharmacy (OSBP) or SCTE&VT or from an AICTE approved Institution / from a recognized University as defined by UGC for direct admission to the third semester degree courses.
B. The native of Odisha as well as the outside state candidates who have prosecuted their study for the qualifying examination in an Institute in Odisha having approval from the competent authority are eligible for admission under Lateral Entry. C. There is no reservation of seats in lateral entry to degree Pharmacy courses. The candidates who is a native of Odisha must submit the Residence Certificate at the time of document verification. Further, the students having rank in lateral entry shall also be eligible for admission to the first year class subject to vacancies in the first year class in case the vacancies in lateral entry are exhausted. However, the admission shall be based strictly on the basis of OJEE-2015 rank only.
There is no age limit to admission to this course.

For admission to 2nd year Degree courses in Engineering/Technology under Lateral Entry for B. Sc./ +3 Sc. students :
A. Passed or appearing in 2015, for the Bachelor’s Degree examination of three years duration in Science from any University of Odisha or from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to ST/SC category) and must have passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject.

B. Further even though the student in this stream are admitted to second year course, they have to clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics / Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year engineering program along with the second year subjects.

The candidates who is a native of Odisha must submit the Residence Certificate at the time of document verification. The candidate has to submit the Residence certificate in the prescribed format issued not earlier than January 2015.

For admission to Master degree in Computer Application
For admission into 1st year Master degree in Computer Application:
Passed or appearing in 2015, for the Bachelor’s Degree examination of minimum three years duration in any discipline from any University of Odisha or from a recognized University as defined by UGC and must have passed in Mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduate Level. Business Mathematics at +2 level are not permitted. The candidate should have obtained at least 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) at the qualifying Examination.

If the candidate has passed BCA with mathematics as a subject, he/she may appear the entrance test without Mathematics at 10+2 level.

There is no age limit to admission to MCA course.

For admission into Master in Computer Application under Lateral Entry to 2nd year:
Passed or appearing in 2015, for the Bachelor’s Degree examination of minimum three years duration in BCA, B. Sc (IT/ Computer Science) from any University of Odisha or from a recognized University as defined by UGC and must have passed in Mathematics as a course at 10+2 level or at Graduate Level. Business Mathematics at +2 level are not permitted.
The candidate should have obtained at least 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) at the qualifying Examination.
There is no age limit to admission to 2nd year MCA under Lateral Entry course.

PGCM

There is no age limit to for admission to PGCM course.

PGDM (Executive)
Passed the Bachelor’s Degree examination of minimum three years duration in any discipline from any University of Odisha or from a recognized University as defined by UGC and a minimum of 5 years relevant managerial / supervisory experience.
OR
Passed or appearing in 2015, for the Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology /Pharmacy examination of minimum four / five years duration in any discipline from any University of Odisha or from a recognized University as defined by UGC/AICTE.
The candidate should have obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) at the qualifying examination.
There is no age limit to for admission to PGDM (Executive) course.

M.Tech (Regular)
Passed or appearing in 2015, Bachelor’s Degree of examination in the relevant field from any University of Odisha or from an AICTE approved Institute or from a recognized University as defined by UGC.
The candidate should have obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) at the qualifying examination.

M.Tech (Part Time)
Passed the Bachelor’s Degree of examination in the relevant discipline/field/program from any University of Odisha or from an AICTE approved Institute or from a recognized University as defined by UGC.

Minimum of Two years full time work experience in a registered firm / Company / Industry / Educational and / Government, Autonomous Organisations in the relevant field in which admission is sought.

M.Pharm
Passed or appearing in 2015 Bachelor’s Degree of examination or equivalent in Pharmacy from any University of Odisha or from an AICTE approved Institute or from a recognized University as defined by UGC.

M.Arch

For admission to Dual Degree course:
For admission to Masters degree in Applied Management (MAM)

There is no age limit to appear at OJEE-2015 for admission into MAM courses.
The admissions for this course shall be effected on the basis of merit list of students passed in various streams at 10+2 examination as, Science stream 20 seats, Commerce stream 20 seats, Arts Stream 20 seats in 60 seat strength.

For admission to Five year Dual Degree Course in MCA

SAKURA Exchange Program

Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) has proposed to welcome Indian youth (up to 40 years of age) starting April, 2015 under a new short-term invitational program or “SAKURA Exchange Program”. Some 300 young researchers and university students are supposed to have an exposure visit of 10 days to 3 weeks in the science and technology Institutions in Japan. This new program is available only at the Institutional levels, thus no individual proposal is accepted.

Sakura Science Plan consists of 2 programs. One is "Call for Exchange Program proposals (submission type), and the other one is "Sakura Science High School Program".
1.-1. Call for Exchange Program proposals (submission type) - This program is designed to reinforce, revitalize and construct a relationship between an Indian institution and a Japanese one by means of financial support for exchange plans. Each plan to be supported by JST must be always created and implemented in cooperation with the institutions of both countries, and an application for the program must be always submitted by the Japanese institution to JST.
1.-2. Sakura Science High School Program This program has been closed for 2015 and the following is for information purposes. - Objective of this program is to reinforce and accelerate exchange of the younger students (high school students, equivalent to the students of grade 10, 11, 12 in India).

JST invites Indian students to Japan. Participants are chosen under the partnership of JST and the relevant Indian governmental agencies. 2. Overall process for preparation and implementation of the “Call for Exchange Program proposals ( submission type )”
2.-1. Construct an academic relationship with a Japanese host (universities, research institutes, etc.) through department/section of international cooperation in your organization.
2.-2. Exchange ideas in developing and agreeing to an exchange plan between the two organizations.
2.-3. Finalize the exchange plan and have the Japanese host submit the plan to JST for selection. The results of the selection will be announced via the Japanese host.

2.-4 The successful plan is implemented and a report is submitted upon completion of the program to the Japanese host.

10. The duration of the Entrance Test shall be 90 minutes for 90 MCQs. Reservation for SC/ ST/ OBC/PHC candidates shall be as per the Central Government norms and 50 % seats shall be reserved for the in-service teachers of the state government.

How to Apply:-
1. The teachers with at least 2 years teaching experience and having requisite qualifications as mentioned herein above shall have to apply through the proper channel for being considered as ‘Deputed Candidates’. The teacher candidates shall be exempted from Entrance Test, if the number of applications received is equivalent to or less than the seats reserved for them. In case of residual vacancies in the in-service category, the same shall be filled from Pre-service category candidates. 2. Pre-service Candidates are required to fill the Online Application Forms available on the University Website (http://www.cukashmir.ac.in).  However, the in-service candidates after filling application forms and submitting the application fee have to forward the hard copy of the application form duly signed by their respective Head of the Institute/School by or before 25.03.2015 as given in “Annexure A”. Also, all the selected in-service candidates shall produce the NOC from the Competent Authority as given in the format “Annexure B” before joining the Programme.

The summer camp will consist of interactive lectures, along with an exposure to laboratory work guided by IISER faculty members. Our efforts are to make science as interesting and exciting as possible for the participants, so that they not only understand the basic principles of science, but also learn how to apply them in their daily lives. The objective of this program is to inculcate in students an aptitude to appreciate the role and contribution of science in the betterment of mankind. The program has been designed to create harmony between learning and applying scientific knowledge towards the development of the society.

Eligibility:
Only Candidates who have appeared at Common Admission Test (CAT) 2014 conducted by IIMs are eligible to apply.
A candidate must hold a Bachelor's Degree, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate in all semesters/trimesters or equivalent
CGPA, of any University incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956.

The Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education.
In case of the candidates being awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the equivalence would be based on the equivalence certified by the university/ institution from where they have obtained bachelor's degree.
In case the university/ institution does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by the SPM by dividing earned CGPA with the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the quotient with 100.

A candidate appearing for the final year semester examination of bachelor's degree or equivalent can also apply.
(a) Such candidate must produce a certificate from the authority of the university/ institution certifying that (i) the candidate has obtained 50% marks or equivalent based on latest available grades/marks (i.e. all the years' semester
grade/marks except the final year semester grade/marks), and (ii) the candidate has completed all the requirements and has appeared for the examinations / practical etc. for the final year/final semester and that the results are awaited
for obtaining the bachelor's degree/ equivalent qualification.
(b) Such candidates, if selected, will be allowed to join the programme provisionally with an undertaking to submit the final marks sheet/grade sheet not later than September 30, 2015 and the degree certificate not later than June
15, 2016 to the School.
(c) However, the admission will be confirmed provided that final marks sheet/grade sheet are submitted not later than September 30, 2015 and the degree certificate are submitted not later than June 15, 2016

Selection Process:
The candidates short listed on the basis of aggregate CAT score will be required to appear for group discussion (GD) and personal interview (PI) at SPM, PDPU or may be at other select locations (subject to minimum applications) on the specified date(s).
1. Group Discussion (GD):
The group discussion (GD) shall be held in a group of about 10-12 students.
Students appearing at GD shall be evaluated on the set criteria.
2. Written Ability Test (WAT):
Students shall be required to submit a written assignment on the topic announced at the time of GD and PI.
3. Personal Interview (PI):
Students appearing at PI shall be evaluated on the set criteria. Relevance of work experience, wherever applicable may be assessed at this stage

Applications have been invited from eligible candidates for admission to the 3-year (6-semester) full-time MCA programme of session 2015-2016 at Mesra, and its Off campus Centres at Alahabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lalpur and Noida.

Eligibility:
1) Candidates must have passed with minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in average of all subjects in Class 10.

2) Candidates must have passed with minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in average of all subjects in Class 12 / Equivalent Examination. The candidates must have passed in Mathematics / Computer Science / Information Practices as one of the subject in Class 12 / Equivalent Examination.

3) Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification of any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislatures in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India / AIU. This degree must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling [Class 12 or equivalent] (10+2+3 system).

4) Candidates must have one of following qualifications:
a) Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), or
b) B.Sc. in Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics, or
c) B.Sc. with Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at graduate level.

5) Candidates of B.Sc. Honours must have minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in average in their Honours subject. Candidates of BCA and other graduate courses must have minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in average in graduation, marks to be computed as average of marks obtained in ALL subjects in which candidate has appeared.

6) Candidates appearing for final examinations of their Bachelor’s programme in 2015 can also apply, provided they have obtained requisite marks or equivalent (as per item 5 above) based on latest available grades / marks at the time of applying, and if selected can join the programme provisionally. At the time of the document verification cum admission such an applicant must bring a certificate in original from the Principal of Institute stating that:
a) by 30 June 2015, S/he will have appeared for examination in all subjects required for obtaining his/her Bachelor’s degree.
b) S/he has obtained requisite marks or equivalent (as per item (5) above), based on latest available grades / marks. Their admission will be confirmed only when they submit the mark sheet and a certificate of having passed the Bachelor's degree / equivalent qualification with requisite marks as per item (5) above. They must submit proof of passing their final examinations with requisite marks by 31 October 2015. Non-fulfillment of this condition will automatically result in the cancellation of the provisional admission.

7) Candidates with qualifications acquired through correspondence or distance-learning programmes are eligible only if (a) the programmes are recognized by the DEC-IGNOU, (b) they have passed the qualifying examination at the time of applying, with minimum 50% marks in average (45% for SC/ST) calculated as per item (5) above. They must enclose photocopies of pass certificate and marksheets of qualifying examination with their application.
