1. Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination in 2009,2010 or appearing in 10+2 examination in 2011 are only eligible to apply for B.Tech (4 years), B.Tech & M.Tech-Dual Degree(5 years), B.Tech & MBA (5years) course of the University.

MBBS/BDS:
10+2 pass with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English with at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together for general category candidates and 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together for SC/ST Candidates.

B.Sc. Nursing (4 years):

Pass in 10+2 or equivalent in any stream with at least 50% marks.

Selection Procedure:
The Students shall be selected through an entrance examination conducted by IIITM-K followed by an interview. The total intake of the programme is 40 of which 20 are from open quota. 15 seats are reserved for the extension officers officers working in Government Departments like Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Diary and allied sectors. Reservation of seats for SC/ST applicable as per government rules.

The Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE) has invited applications for the Entrance Examination for admission to post-graduate courses in Dental Surgery (MDS), Kerala - 2011.  The admission is to be held to  Government Dental Colleges at Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam and Kozhikode. The Entrance Examination will be held on  09.02.2011 Wednesday at Thiruvananthapuram.

 Eligibility for Admission:
(i) Indian Citizen of Kerala Origin

(ii) Academic Qualifications: BDS Degree from any University in Kerala or equivalent. Those who will complete one year Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship on or before 15.04.2011 are eligible, but should have Registration with Kerala Dental Council, before admission to the Course.

(iii) Age: Maximum age as on 30.04.2011 for general candidates is 45 years, and for Service candidates 47 years.The upper age limit for the candidates seeking Quota for unavailed seats will be 45 years.

Application Forms: Prospectus and Application form will be available from 06.01.2011 in the website www.cee-kerala.org. The application form is common for all candidates.

Application Fees: General/Service Quota only: Rs.1000/-( For SC/ST: RS 500/-) Keralites residing inside Kerala State, can remit the Application fee in any branch of the State Bank of Travancore using the Chalan provided on page No.9 of the application form. The original Chalan contained in page No.9 shall be attached with the application form duly signed and authorized by Bank authorities on remittance of application fees. Keralites
residing outside Kerala State, can remit the application fee by attaching a Demand Draft for the requisite amount drawn on a Nationalized Bank in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram.

Late applications including those brought after 5 PM on 24.01.2011 (Monday) will not be accepted. The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations will not be responsible for any postal delay. Incomplete, defective and wrongly addressed applications will be summarily rejected and no correspondence will be undertaken in this regard.

Service candidates should send a copy of their application, along with all the required documents, including those related to service, to their Controlling Officer (DME/DHS) also onor before 24.01.2011 (Monday) 5 pm. Service Candidates, applying under service quota seats, should apply according to clause VIII and IX of the Prospectus.

2 Eligibility for Admission:

(i) Nativity : Applicant should be an Indian citizen of Kerala origin or should have passed the MBBS Course from any of the Medical Colleges in Kerala.

(ii) Academic Qualifications : M.B.B.S. Degree from any of the Universities in Kerala or of any other university, recognized by any of the universities in Kerala as equivalent thereto with eligibility for full registration in respect of all courses. Applicants who will complete Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship (C.R.R.I.) on or before 31.03.2011 are eligible to apply for the Entrance examination, subject to the condition that the admission will be given only after obtaining registration of T C Medical Council.

(iii) Age: The Upper age limit for general merit candidates as on 30.04.2011 is 45 years. The upper age limit for service candidates is as per clause IV (C) of Prospectus.

3. Selection and Entrance Examination: Selection of General candidates excluding service quota candidate to state quota seats will be made on the basis of an Entrance Examination to be conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations [CEE] at Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam and Kozhikode on 09.02.2011. It will consist of two Papers, each of two hours duration and having 150 Objective Type (Multiple Choice) Questions each. A minimum of 50% marks in the Entrance Examination is mandatory to become eligible for admission as per the Medical Council regulations. In case of candidates belonging to SC/ST and SEBC the required minimum marks in the Entrance Examination is 40% and in case of candidates with locomotory disabilities of lower limbs between 40%and 70%, the required minimum marks shall be 45%.

4. Application forms: Prospectus and Application form will be available from 06.01.2011 in the website www.cee-kerala.org (See Clause VIII of the Prospectus). The Application form is common for General and Service candidates. Candidates seeking admission to this course can apply in the Online application form provided on the website www.cee-kerala.org of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations and then remit the required fee at any State Bank of Travancore Branch. Application fee for General candidates is Rs. 1000/- and SC/ST candidates is Rs. 500/-. Service candidates who seek admission under General Quota also, should pay extra Rs.1000/-(Total Rs.2000/-),(Please see Clause VIII)

(a)). Application forms will not be sold from the office of the CEE or office of the DME. Application fee once remitted will not be refunded under any circumstances, according to the CEE. The candidates as specified in clause VII(a)4 of the prospectus will be considered for the unavailed seats after the final round allotment process. Such candidates should also pay extra Rs.1000/-(Total Rs.2000/-).They should forward the print outs of the application form and documents to the Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examination and a copy of the same should be forwarded to the Director of Medical Education through their controlling officers concerned.

5. Last date and time for receipt of filled-in application forms: Candidates, seeking admission should forward their completed application with all the required documents mentioned in clause VIII(f) of the prospectus to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Housing Board Buildings, Santhinagar, Thiruvananthapuram — 695 001, either by Registered Post, by Speed Post or Hand Delivery so as to reach him before 5 pm on 24.01.2011. However, Service Candidates should send their Application form, along with copies of all required documents, to the Controlling Officer as stipulated in the prospectus, on or before 24.01.2011. Service candidates seeking admission in General Merit quota will have to forward the application form both to the Controlling Officer and Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. Late, defective and incomplete applications will be summarily rejected. No correspondence will be undertaken in this regard. The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations will not be responsible for any postal delay.

6. Candidates will be allowed, neither to include any information in the application form nor to submit any certificates / documents claiming reservation or any benefits, after the submission of the application, under any circumstances. Candidates must note that they have to obtain the required certificates in the body of the application form itself, wherever specified. Such certificates that are attached separately along with the application form will not be considered under any circumstances, the CEE said.

7. The CEE will conduct the Entrance Examination, prepare and publish the rank list of candidates who qualify in the Entrance Examination and forward the same to the Director of Medical Education. The rank list will be made available in the website "www.cee-kerala.org".

8. The selection, admission and allotment of seats including those under Service Quota will be made by the DME through a Centralized Allotment Process [CAP] and will be based on various provisions laid down in the Prospectus, approved by the Government of Kerala.

9. Candidates may go through the various provisions of the Prospectus available in the Official website of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations at "ceekerala. org", before filling up the "On-line application forms", the notification on the CEE's website said.
