Candidate should have passed with minimum of 45% marks in aggregate ( 40% marks in aggregate in case of candidates of backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra State only) in Bachelor's degree/Master's Degree in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities.

HOW TO APPLY:
Availability of Information Brochure along with Application Kit:

The Director of Technical Education, Maharashtra State, Mumbai continues the system of online receipt of application form for MCA for the year 2009-10.

Information brochure along with the Application Kit for the aspiring candidates will be available at the select post offices mentioned below only during working hours from 09/02/2009 to 20/02/2009 (excluding Public Holidays) against the payment of the application form processing fees.

It is mandatory to procure the information brochure and go through it carefully. The CET that will be conducted in pursuance of this advertisement is subject to the rules and regulations set out in this information brochure. The further admission process, especially in respect of Private Unaided Institutes will be in terms of the clarification read with aforesaid rules and regulations.

Submission of the application form in response to this advertisement will amount to accepting the afore said rules & regulations unequivocally by the applicant and upon such submission it will be presumed that the applicant agrees and accepts these rules & regulations as legal, valid and correct. It will not be open for any applicant, once having submitted the application form to question the legality, validity and correctness of these rules & regulations.

The Centralized Admission Process will consist of first 2 rounds of allotment and the third (i.e. last) round of counseling. Candidates are instructed to carefully read the Annexure-I of the Information Brochure to understand the eligibility criteria for participating in each round.
NRI candidates are eligible to apply for admission against Institute level seats in Private Unaided Management Institutes. Please refer information Brochure for details.

 

Application form processing fees as stated below is to be paid at the identified post offices, in cash only. No other mode of payment shall be permitted.

 

For Open Category Candidates from Maharashtra State, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS), J & K Migrant candidates and NRI/Foreign National/Foreign Students/ PIO/Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries Candidates

For Candidates of Backward Class Categories [SC, ST, VJDT NT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), OBC, SBC] belonging to Maharashtra State only.

J & K Migrant candidates who wish to apply against J & K Migrant quota and also against OMS quota are required to pay total fee of Rs. 1500/- (Two separate receipts of Rs.750/- each). Such candidates will be required to register as both J&K Migrant and OMS candidate and one Hall ticket will be generated after confirmation of online application form.

This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances. Submission and Confirmation of Online Application Form:

Aspiring candidates will be able to submit and confirm the Online Application form through the website www.dte.org.in/mca through any computer connected to Internet.

For the submission and confirmation of the online Application Form the candidates are required to use the Application ID and Password provided in the Application Kit. Candidates are also required to upload his/ her photo with signature as per the instructions given in the Application Kit. Candidates are advised to preserve the Application Kit carefully and not to disclose the Application ID & Password to others to avoid impersonation.

In order to take the printout of the Online submitted Application form and the printout of the Hall Ticket for the CET, it is mandatory for all the candidates to confirm the Online submitted Application form and such confirmed applications only will be considered valid for further processing.

Applications sent by Post/Courier etc. to ARCs/DTE office will be rejected and no communication in this regard will be done with the candidates.
It should be noted that no documents are required to be submitted at this stage. Candidates are advised to keep the necessary documents ready at the time of Document verification stage as per scheduled.

 

LATE SUBMISSION & CONFIRMATION of ONLINE APPLICATION FORM: The candidates who have failed to procure Information Brochure along with Application Kit, submit & confirm the online Application form on or before 20th February 2009 will be able to procure, submit & confirm the Online Application form at following office by paying Additional Late Fees of Rs. 1000/- in cash only on 21st February, 2009 (Between 11AM-5PM) at the following address: Sydenham Institute of Management Studies Research and Entrepreneurship Education (SIMSREE), B-Road, Near Churchgate Station, Churchgate, Mumbai-400020

Candidates are required to approach the identified post offices mentioned above during the working hours of the respective Post Offices for obtaining Information Brochure along with Application Kit.

Candidates may also approach ARC cum Facilitation Centers (given in Annexure-V of Information Brochure) to scan & upload photo, submit & confirm the Online Application Form. Candidates are required to pay facilitation charges of Rs. 50/- in cash towards scanning, printing etc. at these centers.

To facilitate candidates from Outside of Maharashtra State, the MAH-MCA-CET 2009 examination will also be conducted at Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bhopal and Kolkatta.

Eligibility:
Age: Not less than 19 years as on 31st August 2009.

Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (or appearing in Final year examination), in the field of Agriculture, Veterinary, Agricultural Engineering, Fisheries, Horticulture, Home Science, Sericulture, Dairy Technology, Dairy Engineering, Forestry, Agri. Marketing Banking and Cooperation, Food Science & Technology, Biotechnology, Process & Food Engineering, Computer Science, Basic and allied sciences under 10+2+5 or 10+2+4 (most seats) or 10+2+3 (only few seats) with 60% marks or OGPA 6.60/ 10.00 or 3.25/5.00 or 2.60/4.00 for General, OBC and UPS categories and 55% marks or OGPA 5.50/ 10.00 or 2.75/5.00 or 2.20/4.00 for SC, ST and Physically Handicapped (PH) categories.

For admission in the subject of Veterinary Sciences, candidates must have completed B.V.Sc. & A.H. with Internship before the date of registration in the University or August 31, 2009 whichever is earlier. It may be noted that the candidate has to fulfill the eligibility criteria of the admitting University for the admission at the time of counseling. (Candidates appearing in the final year examination of Bachelor degree will have to submit certificates/ provisional mark sheets signed by the Registrar of the University of their having completed the degree in all respects on the date of counseling or else they will be summarily disqualified).

Reservation: As per Govt. of India directives. 15% seats in all subjects will be reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes (ST), 3% for Physically Handicapped (PH), and 2% for candidates from Under-Privileged States (UPS). Reservation for OBC in four Central Universities (NDRI, CAU, BHU and Viswa Bharti) will be as per Government of India directives/ University rules.

ICAR-JRF(PGS): Based on the merit in the AIEEA-PG-2009 examination, about 475 ICAR-Junior Research Fellowships for postgraduate studies (ICAR-JRF(PGS)) in 20 major subject groups can be availed for two years in Agricultural Universities (AUs) comprising State Agricultural Universities, AAI-DU, ICAR-DUs, CAU and CUs with agriculture faculty, provided their Bachelor degree is not from the same AU (except NDRI Karnal). The current rates of fellowship are Rs. 12000/- pm for Veterinary Sciences and Rs. 8640/- pm for other disciplines besides contingent grant of Rs. 6000/- per annum in each case. Candidates, currently studying for their Master's degree in 1st year, can also appear in AIEEA-PG-2009 examination for securing ICAR-JRF (PGS). However, if an ICAR-JRF (PGS) holder seeks fresh admission; entire amount of fellowship received by him shall have to be refunded with interest

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology is an autonomous body under Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. Eligibility:
Minimum qualification for admission is a pass in the examination of 10+2 system of Senior Secondary education or its equivalent with English as one of the compulsory subject. Those appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examination can also appear in JEE 2009 for being considered on provisional basis. Provisional admissions will stand cancelled if proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or its equivalent) is not submitted to the allotted Institute at the time of admission. Admissions will be subject to verification of facts from the original certificates/ documents to be produced by the candidates at the time of admission in Institute. Even after admission to an Institute, if an applicant is at a later date found ineligible on account of having submitted false information or testimonials or for having suppressed any material information, his/her admission will be cancelled and the fee paid will also be forfeited. Decision of National Council regarding the eligibility shall be final.

For candidates from General, OBC and Physically Handicapped categories upper age limit is 22 years as on 1.7. 2009, only those whose date of birth falls on or after July 01, 1987 are eligible. In the case of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates upper age limit is 25 years as on 1.7.2009, only those SC / ST candidates whose date of birth falls on or after July 01, 1984 will be eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/ Pre-University Certificate is the only authentic proof that will be accepted. At the time of counseling, this certificate must be produced in original as a proof of age, failing which the candidate will not be considered for provisional admission.

NIT - MCA Common Entrance Test 2009 (NIMCET'09)


National Institutes of Technology (NITs) are premier Technical Institutions of National repute and fully funded by Government of India. The Curricula and Syllabi of Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme offered by NITs are designed considering the need of different Software Houses in India and abroad and has a high job potential in IT Sector. The NIMCET is a National Level Entrance Test conducted by NITs for admission to their MCA programme. The admission to first year of MCA programme offered by all the NITs for the year 2009-10 will be based on the Rank obtained in NIMCET09 ONLY.

Eligibility:
Indian Nationals having minimum 60% marks (6.5/10 CGPA) in each of the examinations of
i.        12th level and
ii.      Bachelor's Degree of Full Time 3 year duration from a recognized University with Mathematics/ Statistics/ Business Mathematics as one of the subjects in any one semester/year in all the above (i) and (ii) mentioned courses, are eligible to apply. The SC/ ST candidates with minimum 55% marks (6.0/10 CGPA) are eligible. The candidates who are appearing for the qualifying examination are also eligible to appear for NIMCET09. Such candidates shall have to furnish the proof of fulfilling the eligibility criteria of NIMCET09 preferably at the time of Counselling/Admission but not later than 31st July, 2009, failing which, their admission may be cancelled by the respective NITs. The State of Eligibility is the state from where the candidate passed/appeared for graduation.

Mode of Examination:
The duration of NIMCET09 examination will be for a period of two hours and will consist of 120 multiple choice questions with four choices for each question. Each correctly answered question will carry FOUR marks and each wrongly answered question will lead to NEGATIVE ONE mark. The candidates have to mark the responses in the OMR sheets at the time of examination. Candidates have to bring their own HB pencil, eraser and black ball point pen. Calculators, mobile phones or any other material shall not be allowed in the examination hall.

Admission Methodology:
A NIMCET09 application form is applicable for both the Entrance Examination and for admission to MCA at all the NITs offering MCA programme. Candidates are not required to apply separately to each NIT for admission. The admission to MCA programme in all the 11 participating NITs will be based on NIMCET09 rank as well as their choices to be opted during the counselling/admission process. Details of the counselling process shall be notified on the NIMCET09 web site in due course. The candidates are advised to check the website www.nimcet09.mnnit.ac.in regularly for updates. The counselling will be held in June 2009. After admission, NITs do not permit transfer from one NIT to another in any circumstances. Candidates once allotted a seat in any particular NIT will have to take admission at that NIT only.

The University also offers 5 Year B. Arch Course. For admission to B.Arch, applicant should have 50 % aggregate marks in 10+2 or a pass in 10+3 Diploma or IB Diploma with 40% marks in NATA. SC/ST candidates need at least 45% marks in aggregate with 40% marks in NATA. Candidates seeking admissions to B.Arch should have taken only NATA. They need not take PMUET-09.

Marketing Banking and Cooperation, Food Science & Technology, Biotechnology, Process & Food Engineering, Computer Science, Basic and allied sciences under 10+2+5 or 10+2+4 (most seats) or 10+2+3 (only few seats) with 60% marks or OGPA 6.60/ 10.00 or 3.25/5.00 or 2.60/4.00 for General, OBC and UPS categories and 55% marks or OGPA 5.50/ 10.00 or 2.75/5.00 or 2.20/4.00 for SC, ST and Physically Handicapped(PH) categories.

For admission in the subject of Veterinary Sciences, candidates must have completed B.V.Sc.&A.H. with Internship before the date of registration in the University or August 31, 2009 whichever is earlier.

It may be noted that the candidate has to fulfill the eligibility criteria of the admitting University for the admission at the time of counseling. (Candidates appearing in the final year examination of Bachelor degree will have to submit certificates/provisional mark sheets signed by the Registrar of the University of their having completing the degree in all respects on the date of counseling or else they will be summarily disqualified).

Reservation

: As per Govt. of India directives. 15% seats in all subjects will be reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes (ST), 3% for Physically Handicapped (PH), and 2% for candidates from Under-Privileged States (UPS). Reservation for OBC in four Central Universities (NDRI, CAU, BHU and Viswa Bharati) will be as per Government of India directives/University rules.

Based on the merit in the AIEEA-PG-2009 examination, about 475 ICAR-Junior Research Fellowships for postgraduate studies (ICAR-JRF(PGS)) in 20 major subject groups can be availed for two years in Agricultural Universities (AUs) comprising State Agricultural Universities, AAI-DU, ICAR-DUs, CAU and CUs with agriculture faculty, provided their Bachelor degree is not from the same AU (except NDRI Karnal). The current rates of fellowship are Rs. 12000/- pm for Veterinary Sciences and Rs. 8640/- pm for other disciplines besides contingent grant of Rs. 6000/- per annum in each case. Candidates, currently studying for their Master's degree in 1st year, can also appear in AIEEA-PG-2009 examination for securing ICAR-JRF(PGS). However, if a ICAR-JRF(PGS) holder seeks fresh admission, entire amount of fellowship received by him shall have to be refunded with interest.

Duration of Course

: Two Academic years for 10+2+4 students. Students from Basic sciences with 10+2+3 programme can also apply for some subjects/locations but course duration in such cases is three years.

7th April 2009. However for the candidates belonging to the remote areas viz., Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Ladakh Division of J&K State, Lahaul & Spiti District and Pangi Subdivision of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep, the last date is 14th April 2009. Application Forms received after the last date will be summarily rejected and Education Division, ICAR shall not responsible for non-receipt of applications within the time schedule due to postal delay or any other reasons for delay. All disputes relating to the conduct of this examination or any matter connected with this advertisement shall be in the jurisdiction of DELHI COURT only.
