ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
a) The candidates should be Indian Nationals and should satisfy local/non-local status requirements laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations of Admission) Order, 1974 as amended upto date (as per G.O.Ms.No. 25, dt: 19.03.2004 & G.O.Ms.No.108, Higher Education Department, dated 30-7-2005 and its amendments).
b) The candidates other than Indian Nationals should satisfy the rules of the Universities concerned
c) A pass (or) appearance at the final year examinations of Bachelor's Degree (Except BOL and BFA) of any University in Andhra Pradesh or any other University Recognized as equivalent thereto.
d) The candidate seeking admission into MBA course should have passed a Bachelor's Degree Examination of not less than three years duration from any recognized University or equivalent thereof besides passing SSC or equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
e) The candidate seeking admission into MCA course should have passed a Bachelor's Degree Examination of not less than three years duration in any discipline with Mathematics at 10+2 level (or) should have passed Bachelor's Degree Examination of not less than 3 years duration in any discipline with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
f) The candidates who are appearing for the final year degree examination shall also be eligible to appear for ICET-2010
g) Admission into any college depends on its Recognition/Affiliation by the Statutory Bodies.
h) Qualifying marks in ICET-2010 is 25% and no minimum marks are prescribed for SC/ST candidates.

Mere qualification in the entrance test does not entitle a candidate to have been admitted into MBA/MCA course unless the candidate:
i) appears before the 'on-line counseling' at any of the Counseling Centres as notified
ii) applies in response to the admission notification issued by the authority concerned (for distance mode)
iii) satisfies all the eligibility conditions of admission stipulated by the authority concerned

Eligibility: Educational Qualification for Eligibility:-

Graduate (10+2+3) degree or equivalent from any recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate  (45% in case of SC/ST and Non Creamy Layer OBC candidates), without any approximation in the Graduate Examination. RMAT-2010 Application Form received after last date and time shall not be accepted.

The application form should be sent by Registered post/Speed post only (not by courier). The same can also be dropped in the locked Drop-Box kept at the RMAT-2010 Office. In any case, the application form should not be handed over to any person. The coordinator RMAT-2010 shall not be responsible for any postal delay.

Karnataka private medical and dental colleges association and Karnataka unaided private engineering colleges association have set up COMEDK to organize a common entrance test and centralized counseling, that would facilitate selection of candidates on merit for admissions to undergraduate courses offered by member institutions (medical, engineering and dental). (BC, MBC, SC/ST as defined by the TN Govt; all rules subject to change as per State & University guidelines) Example: If a candidate has 72% in Biology, 66% in Chemistry and 70% in Physics, then the aggregate works out to: {72 + (66 +70)/2} or {72 + 68} out of 200, ie 140/200 and is eligible. For BA and BBA LLB:

The candidate should have passed 12th (10+2) examination from any recognized board with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC /ST students) in one attempt (No Compartment). Students who have appeared for their H.S.C finals and awaiting results are also eligible to apply, subject to submission of passing certificate by the announced date.

 

Age Limit: Candidate should be less than 20 years of age at the time of appearing for SET as on 02 May 2010. (2 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates ie 22 years)

Step 1   A candidate can register for one paper from the morning session viz Law or Engineering or Health Sciences and one paper from the afternoon session viz. General or Design Register at www.set-test.org

How to apply to Undergraduate Institutes of Symbiosis International (Deemed University)

You may apply online for admission to an undergraduate institute of the University. The application fee is Rs 1000/- per institute, except for SICSR. (The application fee for SICSR is Rs 1500/- for one/two programmes). The last date for applying online is May, 12 2010. After declaration of the SET result, the institute to which you have applied will conduct further selection process for short listed candidates. The schedule for the same will be published on the websites of the institute.

Applying to any undergraduate institute of the University is online. There are two options to apply.
1. From SET website

While paying SET fees online, a candidate may also pay the application fee for admission to a desired institute.

Even after closing of the payment for SET, a candidate may still apply through SET website.

2. From the institute website.

A candidate may also register separately for SET and applying to an institute. However, SET registration and appearing for the test is mandatory.

It is important to see that a candidate appears for the appropriate SET paper to seek admission.

An institute may also be offering more than one programme. A candidate should ensure the desired programme is selected.

You cannot apply to an institute that does not accept the score of the test that you choose to give. For example, if you choose to give the General test only, you cannot apply to SLS. Similarly, if you choose to give the Law test only, you cannot apply to SSE or SCMS (UG) or SICSR.
You may give both tests and apply to all the four institutes.

Similarly, you may give the Design test and the Engineering/ Health Sciences test and apply to SID, SIT/SIHS.

Admission to Professional Courses in Karnataka for the Year 2010-11

1.      Applications are invited from eligible candidates of Karnataka including the wards of Jammu & Kashmiri migrants for registration for the "Common Entrance Test-2010" for admissions to first year Medical / Dental / Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy and Yoga / Engineering / Technology / Architecture courses for seats to be notified by the Government in the Professional Educational Institutions in the state of Karnataka for the academic year 2010-10

2.      A candidate must appear for the Common Entrance Test conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority, for PCB subjects in case of admission to Medical / Dental / Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga courses and PCM subjects in case of admission to Engineering / Technology courses. For admission to Architecture course the candidate must appear for NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) conducted by the Council of Architecture and they must compulsorily obtain CET-2010 brochure and submit the filled application form. 3.      The merit will be determined in accordance with the provisions of the "Karnataka Selection of Candidates for Admission to Government Seats in Professional Educational Institutions Rules, 2006".
 
Eligibility: Academic Eligibility:-

(a)  For Medical / Dental courses, the applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC/12th std or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as Optional subjects and with English as one of the languages of study and have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in the PCB group and should secure a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in PCB subjects in the Common Entrance Test. In case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes (Cate PCB group both in Qualifying Examination and Common Entrance Test.

(b)  For Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy and Yoga courses, the applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th std or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and with English as one of the languages of study and have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in PCB group irrespective of marks obtained in the Common Entrance Test. In case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes (Category-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B), the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% of marks in aggregate in PCB group in the qualifying examination.

For admission to Medical / Dental / Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga courses, the candidate should have completed the age of 17 years as on 31st of December 2010.

(c)   For Engineering / Technology courses, the applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th Std. or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects, irrespective of marks obtained in the Common Entrance Test. In case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes (Category-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B), the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination.

(d)  For Architecture course, the applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th Std. or equivalent examination with Mathematics as a compulsory optional subject and obtained a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in all the subjects in the qualifying examination (45% of marks in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes), and should compulsorily appear for NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) and get a minimum of 40% in it. (Including Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes)


IMPORTANT NOTE:
1.      A candidate who had obtained a seat in any discipline through the KEA (CET Cell) in any of the previous years will not be eligible to appear for the Common Entrance Test-2010 for selection of a seat in the same discipline. Such candidate will immediately forfeit the seat selected by him during the previous years, upon selection of a seat in a different discipline during the year.
2.      The merit list of candidates for admission to Medical and Dental courses will be determined only on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in PCB subjects, taken together, in the Common Entrance Test. For Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga / Engineering / Technology courses, the merit list will be determined on the basis of marks obtained in the respective optional subjects, in both qualifying examination and the Common Entrance Test taken in equal proportions. For Architecture course, the Merit list will be determined on the basis of marks obtained in both qualifying examination and NATA taken in equal proportions.

SUPPLY OF BROCHURE CUM APPLICATION FORM
Brochure cum application form will be supplied through the schools / colleges located within the State of Karnataka in which the students are studying 2nd PUC or 12th standard examination upon submission of Demand Draft for Rs 650/- to the Principals in advance, drawn in favour of "The Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore", payable at Bangalore and Rs 500/- for students belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Category-1. The repeater and ex-students who have passed the qualifying examination within the State of Karnataka before 2010 should also submit the demand draft for the above said amount to the respective schools / colleges. The Last date for submission of Demand Draft to the Principal of Schools and Colleges within Karnataka will be 03.03.2010.

The Karnataka candidates residing outside Karnataka (Horanadu, Gadinadu and other Karnataka candidates ie, who fulfills the eligibility conditions) who are studying or who have studied 12th standard or equivalent examination outside the State of Karnataka, within the territory of India, can procure the brochure cum application form by "SPEED POST", by sending a self-addressed cloth-lined envelope of size 25 cm x 30 cm along with a Demand Draft for Rs 750/- drawn in favour of "The Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore", payable at Bangalore and a Karnataka candidate residing outside India can get the brochure cum application form by sending a demand draft for Rs 5,000/-. Submission of Application Form:-
Duly filled application form along with relevant documents as per the instructions given in the Information Booklet should reach the office of The Coordinator RMAT-2010, Government Mahila Engineering College, Nasirabad Road, Makhupura, Ajmer-305002 by 5.00 PM of March 25, 2010, irrespective of the fact that whether March 25,2010 is a working day or not. RMAT-2010 Application Form received after last date and time shall not be accepted.

The application form should be sent by Registered post/Speed post only (not by courier). The same can also be dropped in the locked Drop-Box kept at the RMAT-2010 Office. In any case, the application form should not be handed over to any person. The coordinator RMAT-2010 shall not be responsible for any postal delay.

The acknowledgement of receipt of the application form is through website. Please log-on to website- http://rmat2010.gweca.ac.in and enter your form number in the specified box to confirm the receipt of your application at RMAT-2010 office.

How To Apply: Application are to be submitted in plain paper along with Bio-data, copies of mark sheets and certificates, two passport size photographs. 22.5% seats are reserved for SC/ST candidates for whom no fee will be charged subject to production of two photo copies of Caste Certificate duly attested by Gazetted Officer. A caution deposit of Rs, 1000/- is to be paid along with application in shape of Demand Draft which will be refunded after successful completion of Training with minimum 85% attendance. Caste Certificate in original from competent authority is to be produced for verification at the time of admission which may be reverified from the Issuing Authority.

B.Tech. : Pass or appearing at 10+2 exam. (2010) with Phy, Chem & Math OR Pass or appearing at the final year of three year Diploma programme in Engg. / Tech.

M.Tech. : Pass or appearing at B.E. /B.Tech / AMIE /MCA/ M.Sc. (2010)in the respective discipline or equivalent.

For M.Tech. in Biotechnology candidates having B.Tech./B.E. in Biotechnology or related fields / M.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Life Science or equivalent / MBBS /B.Pharm./ B.V.Sc. with Biology as a subject at +2 level are eligible. GATE qualified candidates are exempted from the entrance test but they have to submit the filled up forms.

MCA : Pass or appearing at three year Bachelor Degree (2010) in any discipline from any recognised University having Maths at 10+2 level or at +3 level. Business Maths at +2 or +3 level are not permitted.

MBBS & BDS : Pass or appearing at 10+2 exam (2010) or equivalent with Phy, Chem, Bio(Botany and Zoology) and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in Phy, Chem and Bio, taken together at the qualifying examination. SIKSHA O ANUSANDHAN UNIVERSITY ADMISSION TEST (SAAT-2010) / OBC the marks obtained in Phy, Chem and Bio taken together in qualifying examination be 40% instead of 50% for General Candidates. As per MCI & DCI guidelines candidates have to secure atleast 50% marks in Phy, Chem & Bio in the entrance test . For SC / ST / OBC the minimum limit is 40%. The lower age limit is 17 years and upper age limit is 25 years as on 31.12.2010. Upper age limit shall be relaxed by 5 years for SC / ST candidates.

B. Pharm:Pass or appearing at 10+2 examination (2010) with Phy & Chem along with one of the following subjects:
Mathematics/Biotechnology/Computer Science/Biology. OR Pass or appearing at the final year of Diploma programme in Pharmacy.

M.Pharm : Pass or appearing at B.Pharm Exam (2010) from any recognized university. GATE qualified candidates are exempted from the entrance test but they have to submit the filled up form.

B.Sc. in Nursing (Basic):Pass or appearing at 10+2 Exam. (2010) with at least 45% marks in aggregate (Eng., Phy, Chem., & Bio. taken together) and 40% marks in aggregate for SC/ST/OBC candidates. The lower age limit is 17 years as on 31.12.2010.

B.Sc. in Nursing (Post Basic) : Passed GNM examination and registered with concerned State Nursing Council. Must be a member of TNAI.

M.Sc. in Nursing : Pass or appearing at B.Sc. Nursing (Basic / Post Basic)Degree with 55% aggregate marks from an Institution recognized by INC with a minimum of one year of experience either in teaching or clinical area and they should be registered in SNC as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife.

Bachelor in Hotel Management & Catering Technology (BHMCT) : Pass or appearing at 10+2 Exam. (2010) in any discipline.

MBA/MHTM/MHA : Pass or appearing at three year Bachelor Degree(2010) in Science, Commerce and Arts/B.E./ B.Tech./MBBS/BHMS/BAMS/BDS/BPT/ BHMCT/BBA/BCA examination or equivalent in 2010 from any recognized university having at least 50% of marks.

Candidates having a minimum composite score of 500 in MAT or any other equivalent test are exempted from appearing SAAT-2010 but they are required only to submit the filled up application form.

M.Sc. in Industrial Biotechnology : Pass or appearing (2010)three year B.Sc. & four year Bachelor course in Agriculture /Pharm / Veterinary / Engg. / Tech. /Medicine (MBBS/BDS) from any recongnised University.

Lateral Entry Programmes : Engg., Pharm & HMCT for Diploma holders : Pass or appearing (2010) at three year diploma course in Engg./Pharm./HMCT, with at least 60% marks in aggregate from SCTE & VT, Orissa or equivalent. For Pharmacy, pass or appearing (2010) at two year diploma course in Pharmacy with minimum 60% marks in aggregate from SBP or SCTE & VT, Orissa, or equivalent. Candiates appearing at the qualifying exam in the year 2010, may also apply.

Admission in PGDM (2 Years Full Time) & PGDM (3 Years Part Time) programmes are based on merit worked out on the basis of overall performance in written test carrying weightage of seventy percent and Group Discussion & Personal Interview carrying weightage of thirty percent. The credibility of common examination agency CAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA are taken into consideration.

For Admission in PGDM - Executive Part Time, a candidate must have Any recognized bachelor degree in any discipline of minimum 3 years duration and a minimum of 5 years relevant managerial/supervisory experience. The candidate is required to face a Personal Interview at the time of admission.

All above mentioned programmes are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of H.R.D., Govt. of India, New Delhi.

The candidate may apply to any of the two programmes or both the programmes. But the demand for the PGDM (Part Time) is increasing all across the globe because of the fact that the participants get Full Time salary and exposure to the real life corporate experience and learning of the same course with same no. of credit points and teaching hours.
