Applications are invited for MAH-MBA / MMS-CET 2012 for admission to the First Year of two-year full-time Post Graduate Degree courses in MBA/MMS and PGDBM/PGDM in the Government, University Managed, University Departments and Un-aided Institutes in Maharashtra for the year 2012.

Eligibility Criteria for appearing in MAH-MBA / MMS-CET 2012:

Passed with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA ( 45% in case of candidates of backward class categories and physically handicap belonging to Maharashtra State only) in any Bachelor’s degree awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. OR

Appeared for the final year examination of any Bachelor's degree to be awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of RD, Government of India. Such candidates can be considered for provisional admission subject to passing the Degree exam with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of candidates of backward class categories and physically handicap belonging to Maharashtra State only).

Availability of Information Brochure along with Application Kit :
The Director of Technical Education, Maharashtra State, Mumbai continues the system of online receipt of application form for MBA / MMS / PGDBM / PGDM for the year 2012-13.

• Information brochure along with the Application Kit for the aspiring candidates will be available at the identified Axis Bank Branches mentioned below during working hours of respective branch as per schedule (excluding Public Holidays) against the payment of the application form processing fees.

• Application form processing fees (including fees for GD & PI) as stated below is to be paid at the identified Axis Bank Branches, in cash only, through Pay-in-Slip. The candidate can also do online payment of the fees by Internet Payment, Credit Card / Debit Card payment gateway for which the service charges, as per rules, shall be applicable in addition to the application form processing fees. No other mode of payment shall be permitted.

Eligibility: 2 Year MSIT:

How to Apply:
The candidate can apply for either of the tests or both as mentioned below:
* Walk-in Entrance test
* Regular Entrance test

Walk-in Entrance Test:
Apply at Eduquity Career Technologies PVT LTD, 403, 4th Floor, Myhome Sarovar Plaza, Secretariat Road, Hyderabad-63, Ph: 040-23243010 with a non-refundable crossed Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 700/- from a nationalised bank drawn in favour of 'CIHL', payable at Hyderabad. If the candidate is satisfied with scores which he/she got through Walk-in Entrance then he/she can take regular entrance test which will be conducted from 24-05-2012, he/she needs to apply online (should take another DD for Rs. 700/-) . However the best of the scores would be considered for final ranking.

The walk-in entrance will be conducted from 19th April on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday every week upto 23-05-2012.

Regular Entrance Test:
The regular entrance test will be conducted from 24-05-2012 onwards. Candidates applying for this test have to submit the Application in either of the following two modes.

Note:
Those candidates who have GRE score over 1100 in Verbal, Quantitative sections and over 3.5 in Analytical Writing can Apply Online for Stage II of the Entrance Test directly. (GRE should have been taken after July 2009). For candidates who have taken GRE after August 2011, the equivalent new scores are considered.

Those candidates with TOEFL score above 79/120(IBT) would be exempted from taking the Listening Comprehension test in Stage II of the entrance test. (TOEFL should have been taken after July 2010).

ELIGIBILITY:
(A) For admission to First Year Bachelor's programme in:

* Engineering / Technology:
Passed or appearing in 2012, 10+2 examination of CHSE, Odisha or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects from: Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science / Information Technology / Geology / Statistics. The candidate should have passed individual subject and must have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together.

* Architecture:
Passed or appearing in 2012, 10+2 examination of CHSE, Odisha or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects from: Chemistry / Engineering Drawing / Computer Science / Biology. The candidate should have passed individual subjects and must have obtained at least 45% (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) marks in the above subjects taken together.

The above said admission to 5 year BArch degree course is subject to passing NATA conducted by the Council of Architecture and the minimum passing score for NATA is 40% for all categories of candidates. NATA shall be a pre-requisite for admission to BArch course, but the ranking and admission to the course is based on the OJEE-2012.

* Pharmacy:
Passed or appearing in 2012, 10+2 examination of CHSE, Odisha or equivalent with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects from: Mathematics / Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology. The candidate should have passed in individual subjects and must have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together.

* MBBS / BDS:
Passed or appearing in 2012, 10+2 examination of CHSE, Odisha or equivalent, with Physics, Chemistry & Biology (Botany and Zoology) with at least 50% marks in aggregate (Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together) in the qualifying examination for general category candidates and 40% marks in aggregate for SC / ST candidates. The candidates should also obtain a minimum of 50% mark in OJEE-2012 examination for general category candidates and 40% marks for SC/ ST candidates for admission to MBBS / BDS course.

(B) For admission to First Year Masters programme in:

* Computer Application (MCA):

Passed or appearing in 2012, in Bachelor's Degree examination of minimum three years duration in any discipline from University of Odisha or any recognized University as defined by UGC and must have passed in Mathematics at 10+2 level. Business Mathematics at +2 level is not permitted. The candidate should have obtained at least 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to ST/SC category) marks in the qualifying Examination.

* Business Administration (MBA) / PGDM:
Passed or appearing in 2012, for the Bachelor's Degree examination of minimum three years duration in any discipline from University of Odisha or any recognized University as defined by UGC. The candidate should have obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in the qualifying examination.

PGCM:
Passed or appearing in 2012, for the Bachelor's Degree examination of minimum three years duration in any discipline from University of Odisha or any recognized University as defined by UGC.

PGDM (Executive):
Passed or appearing in 2012, for the Bachelor's Degree examination of minimum three years duration in any discipline from University of Odisha or any recognized University as defined by UGC and a minimum of 5 years relevant managerial / supervisory experience. The candidate should have obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the qualifying examination.

(C) For admission to Second Year Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Pharmacy under Lateral Entry:

Passed or appearing in 2012, in diploma examination in Engineering / Technology / Architecture from State Council of Technical Education and Training (SCTE&VT) Odisha or equivalent with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in the qualifying examination in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology / Architecture for direct admission to the third semester degree courses in Engineering / Technology / Architecture.

Passed or appearing in 2012, in two years diploma course in Pharmacy with minimum 45% of marks (40% in case of candidate belong to SC / ST category) in the qualifying examination from Odisha State Board of Pharmacy (OSBP) or SCTE&VT or equivalent for direct admission to the third semester degree courses in Pharmacy.

(D) For admission to Second year Degree courses in Engineering / Technology under Lateral Entry for BSc / +3 Sc. students:
Passed or appearing in 2012, in Bachelor's Degree examination of three years duration in Science from University of Odisha or any recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% aggregate marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in the qualifying examination and must have passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject.

(E) PGAT (MTech / MPharm / MArch) for admission to 1st Year Master Degree courses in Engineering / Tech / Architecture / Pharmacy:

MBBS Course for the academic year 2012-2013 Applications are invited on prescribed form for admission to MBBS course starting from 1st July 2012. The candidates shall be selected as per their merit in the Entrance Examination to be held on 15th April 2012 at Nagpur, Delhi, Hyderabad Mumbai, Varanasi & Kolkata. Those students who are going to appear in 10+2Higher Secondary Board Examination in March / April 2012 are also eligible to appear in the competitive Entrance Examination.

IN THE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION THE PAPER OF PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY AND BIOLOGY WILL HAVE MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTIONS, WHILE THAT ON GANDHIAN THOUGHT WILL BE OF LONG AND SHORT ANSWER TYPE.

The Prospectus and Application Form with syllabus, question papers of Gandhian thought for the last 5 years, with model question papers of Physics Chemistry and Biology can be had from the office of the Dean either by -

1. Paying a sum of Rs. 1000 personally at the cash counter of Dean’s Office.

2. Or by remitting a sum of Rs 1100/- (Rs.1000 + Rs.100 as postal charges) at any branch of State Bank of India by Challan which can be downloaded from the Institute website www.mgims.ac.in . The detailed instructions in this regard are also available on the website.

The Prospectus & Form will be available from 2nd January 2012. The last date of receipt of filled up application along with Entrance Examination fee is 29th February, 2012 and with additional late fee is 10th March, 2012. The details of submission of entrance examination fee are given in the prospectus.

ELIGIBILITY
The candidate must attain 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission. The Candidate must have passed 12th standard examination under 10+2 system of Maharashtra State Higher Secondary Education Board or equivalent examination of any recognised Board or any Indian University with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually in each subject in one and the same attempt. The candidate must have obtained minimum 50% marks (40% in the case of SC/ ST/ VJ/ NT/ OBC) taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

The admission is subject to any direction given by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, Hon'ble High Court of Bombay Bench, Nagpur, Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik and the Medical Council of India.

Selection & registering for the programme:
Candidates will be selected based on CAT /GMAT score, academic performance, achievements, performance in the interview, work experience etc as decided by the admissions committee. Selected candidates have to register for the programme in Sept 2012.


Pedagogy
The pedagogy will be a judicious mix of lectures, case discussions, project work, term papers, role-play, seminar presentations, assignments, management games, and simulations.

Programme details
The EPGP is structured to prepare executives for transformational leadership positions. During the intense one-year programme, they will work towards developing a deeper understanding of various facets of management and hone their managerial skills. The programme is spread tentative over five academic terms. The first three terms (mostly composed of core courses) focus on laying the foundation for the specialization through a bundle of electives offered in the other terms. The last two terms are mostly electives and other experiential learning. An intervening international module (currently at Katz Business School, University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) provides an opportunity to develop an understanding of the global business environment and the ability to operate in a multicultural environment.


How to Apply
Candidates seeking admission to the one-year EPGP programme of IIM-Indore (2012-13 batch) either have to appear in the Common Admission Test (CAT 2011) or submit their GMAT score. The GMAT score should have been obtained between Jan 1, 2009 and March 31, 2012. They will have to send in a separate application form which can be downloaded from our website www.iimidr.ac.in .

The completed application form along with the processing fee should reach IIM Indore on or before 20th April, 2012. The application processing fee is Rs. 3500/- for resident Indians and U.S. $ 110/- for other nationals and non-resident Indians. Please enclose a D/D for the application-processing fee drawn in favour of IIM Indore payable at Indore along with the application.

Candidates applying through CAT 2011 have to mention their CAT Application Form number in the EPGP Application form. Candidates applying through GMAT have to submit their GMAT score along with the EPGP Application form.


Programme fee
The programme fee is Rs. 18,00,000/- (Rupees Eighteen Lakhs only) for Indian Nationals (Indian passport holders) and US $45,000 (U.S.D forty five thousand only) for Foreign Nationals (Foreign passport holders). The fee is non-refundable. The fee includes tuition, course material, access to library facilities, network /computer charges, lodging and board (at Indore) and academic input (International). For the International Module all expenses towards travel, visa, passport, boarding, lodging etc. are to be borne by the candidates. The tentative cost towards boarding and lodging at Pittsburg is approximately Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only).

Walk-in Entrance Test:

Fedbank Hormis Memorial Foundation has invited applications for the Foundation’s scholarships for the year 2011-12. Students of Indian origin studying in the state of Kerala & Tamil Nadu in any of the Govt./Aided/ self financing colleges are eligible for reimbursement of 100% of tuition fees, subject to a maximum of Rs.75,000/- per year.

The courses eligible for the scholarship are Medicine (MBBS), Engineering (BE/BTech), Agriculture (BSc), Nursing (BSc) and MBA. For applying for the scholarships, the student should have secured admission under merit list during the academic year 2011-12. Family income of the student should be below Rs.2.50 lakh.

Ten students in each discipline will be offered the scholarship, of which one seat will be kept aside for a physically challenged student. If applications are not received from eligible candidates under physically challenged category, it will be utilized under general category.

The O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) is a non-profit university established by the Haryana Private Universities (Second Amendment) Act, 2009 and recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India. The vision of JGU is to promote teaching and research with a global perspective. JGU is one of the few universities in Asia that maintains a 1:15 faculty-student ratio and appoints faculty members from different parts of the world with outstanding academic qualifications and experience.

The Jindal School of Government and Public Policy (JSGP) aims to promote research that facilitates better understanding of issues relating to governance and public policy. The programmes that the Jindal School of Government and Public Policy will offer bear in mind the contribution that the faculty and the students of the school can make towards meeting the challenges of governance and improving the efficiency of government in India, while drawing upon comparative and international perspectives. JSG intends to promote inter-disciplinary studies and joint teaching and research programmes in partnership with the schools of law, business and international affairs.


M.A. in Public Policy
The recent upheaval in the global economy and polity has challenged our received understanding about the way the world functions. The certitude of all political ideologies has been thoroughly undermined, which in turn has substantially changed the policy discourses. The debate on debt-fuelled growth led by the state and the private sector and the structural and social consequences of that is wide open. The contemporary economic structure has been found to increase inequality without generating substantial employment or an increase in real wages. It is vulnerable to periodic crises. The need for an effective regulation of the economy and the markets has been echoed around the globe. The problem of poverty and a low level of human development are worryingly still present before us. In absence of any substantial policy intervention, governments have the propensity to resort to populism.
Beyond such short-sighted populist policies, there has been a renewed concern for redistributive justice and a search for innovative and constitutionally guaranteed social welfare policies. This also calls for a better institutional design and capacity to govern and deliver. Attempts are being made to reconcile equity and efficiency within this new governance structure. The challenge before the policymakers and public leaders in India is to find solutions to the problems within the framework of the Constitution and to defend the democratic values, and to resist
authoritarian impulses in an attempt to ‘catch up’ with certain less democratic countries. The MA in Public Policy programme has been designed with an intention to equip the future policymakers and public leaders to face this increasingly complex
policy environment.

Admission Eligibility:
Applicants to the MPP programme at JSGP must have a Bachelor’s
degree (B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., B.E., B.Tech., B.B.A., LL.B., M.B.B.S.,
etc.) from any university in India or abroad that is duly recognised
under law and by the regulatory authorities. Students who will
be graduating by Summer of 2012 can also apply. There is no age
limit. No work experience is required for candidates applying for
the Regular track. For the Intensive Weekend track, candidates are
expected to be working professionals or have demonstrable work
experience.

Entrance Examination
JSGP will follow a rolling entrance examination system. Candidates
will be assigned a date to sit for an online written entrance
examination. Candidates can consult books. JSGP will reject
essays and applications of candidates suspected of plagiarism.

Eligibility:
The candidates holding recognized Master's degree or equivalent to the Master's degree with at least 50% of marks or equivalent grades are eligible to apply for this examination. The candidates who have appeared for the qualifying Master Degree (Final year) examination and whose result is still awaited may also apply for this examination. However, such candidates shall be issued certificate of passing PhD entrance examination and considered eligible for admission to Doctor of Philosophy program only after they produce passing certificate of their Master’s Degree with 50% of marks or equivalent grades. In case they do not pass their Master’s Degree with 50% of marks or equivalent grades, their result of PhD entrance examination shall automatically stand cancelled.

Exemption:

Candidates admitted to Master’s programme in Animal Biotechnology with basic qualifications other than B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree shall get M.Sc. degree in Animal Biotechnology.

14. FOR NAGPUR VETERINARY COLLEGE, MAFSU, NAGPUR :
Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) recognized by veterinary Council of india. 15. FOR ASSAM AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY, GUWAHATI : For admission into the M.V.Sc. programme in Animal Biotechnology, a candidate has to pass B.V.Sc. & A.H. from a recognized university securing a minimum OGPA of 7.00 in 10.00 scale or equivalent. In case of SC/ST candidates, the minimum requirement of OGPA is relaxable to 6.50 in 10.00 scale.

Pharma, OR M.Sc. in On behalf of the participating Universities, the Jawaharlal Nehru University will hold Combined Biotechnology Entrance Examination on Thursday, the 25
th May, 2012, for admission to
(1) M.Sc. RESERVATION/CONCESSION
a) Reservation: 15%, 7½% and 3% of seats shall be reserved for SC, ST and Physically Challenged (Handicapped) (PH) candidates respectively. All the SC/ST and PH candidates who have passed the qualifying examination are eligible to apply irrespective of their percentage of marks in the qualifying degree examination. OBC reservation, wherever applicable, will be implemented as per the policy of each participating University.
b) Concession for Kashmiri Migrants: 10% marks will be added to the overall marks scored by a Kashmiri Migrant candidate in the entrance examination. After adding 10% marks, in case he/she is covered in the cut-off point in the merit list, he/she will be offered admission strictly in accordance with his/her inter-se merit alongwith other candidates subject to his/her meeting the minimum prescribed eligibility requirements and also subject to his/her producing valid registration documents issued by the notified authorities certifying the candidate’s Kashmiri Migrant status.


TUITION FEE/ SCHOLARSHIP
Fee shall be charged from the admitted candidates as per the fee structure of the concerned University. Candidates selected for admission are generally eligible for scholarship at the rates prescribed by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.
