On-line applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the regular B.Ed, course (Session: 2013-14)

ELIGIBILITY:
The candidates must have passed their Bachelor's Degree Examination in the Faculties of Arts, Science, Social Sciences, Commerce, BCA, BBA (under 10+2+3 or 10+2+2/10+1+3 pattern), Engineering, Medicine, Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Forestry, Music and Fine Arts from the University of Jammu or any other statutory University in India registered with the Association of Indian Universities and have secured atleast 45% (44.5% is treated as 45%) of the aggregate marks in the qualifying examination in case of General Category and 40% (39.5% is treated as 40%) in case of reserved categories (as specified in admission brochure available on University Website given below).

PROCEDURE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORM: On-line admission form is available on website http://bedjammu.org. www.jammuuniversity.in. wwwjucdc.in. After completing the on-line application form, the candidates are required to send the print out. duly signed and complete in all respects with challan copy of Rs 1.500'- to address mentioned on the form. Fee can either be deposited through challan to be generated on-line after filling up the on-line application form and cash deposited in any branch of prescribed Banks all over India OR other option is to use e-banking/debit/credit card for on-line payment, option available while completing the form, in which case the candidate is not required to send the challan copy, while sending the form.

PROCEDURE OF ADMISSION:
Admissions shall be made through on-line Counselling on the basis of merit at the graduation level and college choice/s given by the candidate in the application form. No separate invitation for Counselling shall be sent individually to the candidates and they have to keep in constant touch with website and their e-mail accounts.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. Candidates who have/will obtain B.Ed. Degree from the University of Jammu are eligible for Employment in Central Govt, and other states as communicated by the NCTE (A statutory body of the Govt, of India) vide its circular No. 49/21/2005/NCTE(N&S) Dated May 31,2007.
2. All admissions shall be provisional till the time same is verified by the College Admission Committee and Registration Office of the University. No document/certificate shall be accepted, by the colleges, after the counselling dates are over.
3. University will not be responsible for any postal delay and forms received, on the address mentioned, after the last date(s) shall in no case, be accepted.
4. No INDIVIDUAL COLLEGE (except M.C. Khalsa College of Education which has been authorised to admit 50% of its sanctioned intake under minority status) or ANY AGENCY anywhere in the country is authorised to make admission of candidates to the B.Ed course on behalf of University of Jammu, except for management quota seats of the colleges.

Credit Requirements:
The minimum credit requirement for the successful completion of M Phil Computer Science Programme is 40

Attendance:
The minimum attendance required for the completion of a semester is 75%
Those who secure the minimum attendance in a semester alone will be allowed to register for the end semester exam

Condonation shall be granted by the Vice-Chancellor subjected to the existing Kannur University norms applicable to M Phil/ PG programmes

A student who is not eligible for condonation shall repeat the course with the subsequent batch

I. For optional subjects:
i) B. A/B. Sc/M.Com Degree of the University of Calicut or a degree recognized as equivalent thereto under 10+2+3 pattern with minimum 50% marks in Part III or Masters Degree in the same subject with minimum 50% marks.

b) Graduates in Statistics with Mathematics as one of the subsidiary subjects and candidates possessing B. Sc. applied statistics Degree will be eligible for admission to B. Ed. Course with Mathematics as optional subject

c) Graduates in Home Science/Geology with Physics/Chemistry as subsidiary subjects will be eligible for admission to Physical Science and
those with Botany/Zoology/Life Science as subsidiary subjects will be eligible for admission with Natural Science as optional Subject for the B.Ed. Course

d) Candidates possessing B. Sc. Bio-Chemistry and B. Sc. Plant Science will be eligible for admission to Natural Science optional
e) Candidates possessing B. Sc. Polymer Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry Degree will be considered for admission to Physical Science
optional.

f) Candidates possessing B. Sc. Agricultural Degree with Bio-Chemistry and Zoology as subsidiaries will be eligible for admission to Natural
Science optional.

g) Candidates possessing B. A. Functional English Degree will be eligible for B. Ed. admission in English optional.

D. Preference shall be given to the students who have passed design aptitude test (iDAT).

Admission to all courses offered by the GKU is open to all eligible candidates

All admission are made on the basis of merit

For seeking admission to a course every candidate is required to submit an application form (available along with the Prospectus) complete in all respects with 10th July, 2013

A candidate offered admission on the basis of his application will be required to deposit the admission fee and other fees/funds along with original testimonials (for verification purposes) immediately

In case a candidate fails to deposit the requisite fees etc his admission will stand cancelled and admission against the seat falling so vacant will be offered to the next candidate on the merit list
